My Ideapad 3 suddenly shut down and would not respond to the start.button. Completely dead. I opened it up after watching this video, unplugged and plugged in the battery and it came back to life. It may have been a poor battery connection but I doubt it, since all looked correct and even plugged into the power supply it was dead. I think briefly removing battery power brought it back to life. My heartfelt thanks for posting this video.
You are very welcome. Sometimes the laptops go to a weird state...it helps if you unplug the power supply and press and hold the power button for 1 minute, then release it and wait couple of seconds and power on again. Sometimes also the electronic part on the battery starts acting weird and you need to replace the battery. Sometimes just disconnecting the battery and reconnecting again helps.
Very helpful demonstration just what I was looking for
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for your feedback
Very helpful
Glad you think so!
I just replaced the RAM in mine today after watching this. In the model I have, 17 RU7, it went sticker side down. I don't know if they installed the carriage upside down or what, but that's what I had.
But it's working?
@@CrocFIX Yep, should have mentioned that I guess.

Hello! Do you know if the the laptop will support an additional 32gb of ram like what is listed in the links you provided?
Hey, yes you can install a 32Gb module on this model. (17ABA7)
Thanks for showing this.
You are welcome :)
Why does it have a space for a 2.5 ssd when there's no connection for it? If it connects through a small ribbon cable, where can that be found? Thanks for the video
You are very welcome. I have inserted a link in this video description, where you can order the SSD cable. Thanks for the comment and hope you Subscribe and join the CrocFIX channel family :) ❤️
Can you make a tutorial about how to attach an additional hard drive? 512GB isnt enoigh for me
You can see in the video how to replace the NVME ssd. Just swap the 512Gb with 1Tb or 2Tb. That's the best option. SSDs you can find cheap in my links in the video description.
@@CrocFIX i meant like, add additional drive, not replace the current one
@@TTien63 I know. I just wanted to give a fast solution. For an additional drive, you will need an extra adapter, cable and brackets.
This model has 2 versions - with 38Wh battery that include SATA port inside (as in the video), and other with 45Wh has no SATA, but maybe a dual NVME.
Thanks for sharing this information
Do I need to activate, something from setings ??
Why?
can you change the graphics card?
No
