    So close to making a great video. Really good. If you ever delete a clip again just redo it all over again. It sucks but do it. I believe you completed the job but am a little disappointed that you did go through the troublesome make ago video.
    This is the 1st video from you I watched and I was almost hooked.

    The car has been driven 120 miles since the repair and has officially passed state emissions testing! I previously erased the code with my scan tool (before replacing this valve) and the service engine soon light came back on after 70 miles.

    My 2004 325i has the same P0411 code displayed. The air pump works fine, so I'm thinking it the metal valve that you replaced. What's the difference between the secondary valve late and early? Looking to buy it for the repair. Thanks

      We’re you getting any acceleration problems with this ?

    What would happen if you ignore this code?

    Greetings, my brother, I'm asking you, my car, I have to start it and let it accelerate because if you take off the accelerator, the scan turns off and I get p0411. Do you think it's that, but I saw that you don't have the same problem that I have?

    I heard that you should blow in the valve to see if it works. Did you try this test with your valve?

    How long did your pump stay on for prior to replacing the valve? I have the same cel and my pump only runs 5 seconds

    • @BIMMERZEITT
      @BIMMERZEITT  7 лет назад

      My pump stayed on for only a few seconds, depending on ambient temp during cold startup outside. I believe it runs longer from a colder outside temperature. So at 50 something degrees fahrenheit it came on for only a few seconds. It should run a bit longer at colder temps. It's been about 600 miles since this valve was replaced and all is well.

      Hey Antonio, definitely the early valve!

    Could this valve cause your e46 to throw P1085, P1083, P0171, and P0174. I’m chasing an issue after replacing my fuel injectors and I can’t figure out where my issue is for nothin. When I pulled my old injectors out, there was a lot of crud on the tips and I’m wondering if I dislodged a good bit, they traveled, and blocked something. Seems like the crud would have just been burnt off and thrown out the tail pipe, but who knows. What’s your thoughts?

      hey Julian, I doubt this would be the cause. You might have a vacuum leak, so I would smoke test the intake first to find any leaks. Tiny, hard to see hairline cracks wont be visible with the naked eye. Lots of brittle plastic can crack when doing that job, like the CCV components. I just got a smoke tester for $80 on eBay ebay.us/9My3oW (affiliate) which I'll be reviewing and making a video on the channel here soon. My local shops charge $150 for an hour diagnostic to smoke test, so this machine allows a DIY at way less.

    I got a 2003 bmw 330i , which do you recommend the early or late ?

    • @BIMMERZEITT
      @BIMMERZEITT  4 года назад +1

      Alexander Diaz the early and late models are pretty similar. Usually the late models are a better buy as any issues or weak points in a new design are addressed as the model reaches the end of its production life cycle. But it’s mostly personal preference! Whatever you like!

    Hi, my car has this code 2004 325CI M54 --- car has very poor power going up hills - floor it and it only goes to 30 mph ---- thousands spent since december 2019 no fix - mechanic told me I need this valve and he says the part is $200 plus an hour of labor for $300 plus tax etc. He said he called two places and both said it is $200 - does this make sense ? Will fixing this cure the horrible power problem with the car ?

    • @BIMMERZEITT
      @BIMMERZEITT  4 года назад +1

      Jeanne Morris hi Jeanne, sorry to hear that. To clarify- you have spent $1000’s since December trying to resolve the power issue? Or does that figure include other unrelated maintenance and repairs? The valve is about $70 so with a markup $200 is nearly 3X the price. Too high. One hour labor sounds accurate. This is emissions related and will have no effect on your poor power issue whatsoever.

      BIMMER ZEIT thanks so much for response - diagnostic work for jerking no power car added up $$$. mass air flow sensor 400 cleaning injectors etc nonsense work - then brought to same guy with new code po411 and he said that code is not bmw he did nothing to help me just cleared the code and threw arms up in air and said he could not help me. After 3 visits for same problem - no power. Then dealership who said I need catalytic converters at $3800 did Back pressure exhaust test I asked for numbers but didn’t provide - don’t believe dealership as prior issue - then two months later same code returned - went to new mechanic who told me about this valve needing replacement - I asked if this will clear the horrible power problems with car and he said he hopes it will

      Jeanne M sorry to hear, really frustrating. How many miles on the car? How long have you owned it? The valve is part of the emissions system, you won’t have any drivability issues from the secondary air system valve / pump issues. So I would focus elsewhere. Where are you located?

    • @wishupondayibelieve
      @wishupondayibelieve 4 года назад

      BIMMER ZEIT thanks much for responding again. Should I just cancel this new mechanic ? I have owned the car since 2006 at 7K miles and today have 155K - I’m located in Rhinebeck, NY. It’s terrible trying to locate a qualified mechanic in this area. They claim to know the cars but really don’t. I have advertised private mechanic and closest was in manhattan two hours away. Do you think it could be the cats - my scanner says they are ok - I can’t imagine spending 4K on these if they don’t even fix the problem - especially since the car is only worth around 6K if that - it’s a manual transmission black excellent condition except for this power issue which I believe may just be a simple fix.

    • @BIMMERZEITT
      @BIMMERZEITT  4 года назад +1

      Jeanne M you had a BMW dealer diagnose the car with a back pressure test and they confirmed the cats are bad? Yes, they can go bad it is not too common but I have heard of it happening. There may not be any codes that indicate they are bad, which is why that back pressure test is used to diagnose.

    • @FAIRBOY11
      @FAIRBOY11 5 лет назад

      @@BIMMERZEITT Yes it does, it blows very strong at start, some people say it could be main mass air flow sensor, I don't know what else to do.
