Hey great video. you should reconsider coconut oil in your loc routine and go to lighter oils, like jojoba vitamin e, avocado.. based in research as coconut solidifies it will settle in the locs over time and cause build up,
Pamela Pratt thanks! I actually have considered switching to a thinner oil. I probably will eventually ❤️
Good info!
thanks for sharing I will try them products
Great video! I have just started my starter loc journey and, I really didn’t know how to do a nightly routine or how to tie my hair up!! Greatly appreciated it!
"then you wanna blame it on the ugly stage " 😂😂 ummmm duh 🙄😭😂 . I'm so happy i stumbled across yout channel forreal, it has been so helpful and your personality is cool
Mandy Richelle 😂❤️ thanks for supporting!
DaeLocs Of course. It's a party over here, I love it 🥳
Girl I definitely tried to blame it on the “ugly stage” 😂. Definitely me going to sleep with nothing on expectation g excellence when I woke up the next morning. Thanks for the tips and this was a great video!
The 1 loc is funny at the beginning ur awesome😍🤣✨
I know it's been 2 years since this has been put out but thank you ... 4 long weeks into my starter locs and I am learning
Hang in there!
Loved your routine. Nice and simple. I’m going to adopt this. 👍🏽
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome video! My 10 year old daughter just got starter locs today, and I forgot to ask the loctician how to tie up her hair at night. You helped me so much!!! I won't use coconut oil, but thank you for the idea of oiling her scalp at night. You're awesome! I'll definitely subscribe to your channel for great tips!!
Congrats to your daughter!! What a great age to start the journey ❤️

Sprain any kind of water even if it’s rosewater could produce flat locks when sleeping there must be completely dry
Thanks for your content… I just started my 2 strand journey
“..at least 8 hours *chuckles in motherhood* I mean, 5-4 while I sleep”
Congrats on almost 1K sis😁
Thanks so much! I’m so excited about it lol
So happy to have found your video! I started my 2-strand twist locs (short, thin hair) in August 2022. I "tried" the finger part method, uhhh, that was not a good choice! I am a disabled veteran and my finger parts don't look like they right...lol! Problem: some of my locs are budded, most are NOT...front half of my locs just won't loc, regularly untwist and basically, I don't know wtf I'm doing. I want to fix it, but I don't know what to do!...unable to pay a professional loctician, so here I am on YT asking for help! - Be safe and take care😎
Locs can take up to 6 months to bud depending on your hair texture. All hair will loc if you just leave it alone
I'm definitely a simple girl like you I don't use coconut oil my hair hates it but I have a mixture of peppermint oil I tie it down with a scarf then throw the bones over it because honey if I don't I will wake up looking like don king lolllll.
Thank you! I started my journey today and look forward to these tips to start my journey right💗 Think I will mist and oil the day after tomorrow just due to it being freshly done today! wait should I do this every day?
This was really helpful. Thank you
'Thank's Dae! 💙
when you tuck the back of the hair in the scarf (or bonnet) how do you keep your hair from bending for having a dent print?
Thanks for the video!
Dawn C if I ever get a dent I just spray the loc with water. Not the root, just the length of the loc. It doesn’t happen too often though ❤️
Liked. Hope you're doing well and enjoying your weekend as well as your 2020 so far.
Thanks so much!
how often should you wash your hair when you first start locs
I'm starting my 2 year old locs this week should I just get him a du-rag
I didn’t know what to do I started my loc journey an I did know how to Wrap my hair
is this an every night routine or every other night?
Hey Dae!! what material scarf do you recommend using
Definitely silk or satin if you can! ❤️
👍❤
where did you buy the Jamaica oil?
You can get it usually at any beauty supply store, CVS or Walgreens. Other stores as well.
I’m trying to find good scarfs to wrap my hair the satin ones keep slipping off. Any suggestions?
Victoria Long hun I would just try the beauty supply! Any silk or satin will do or try a silk bonnet ❤️
DaeLocs thank you so much. I’ve tried a few off amazon and they slip and slide all night long. It’s crazy annoying lol. But, I’ll look at the beauty supply to see if they have something that actually stays on lol. Thanks for your feedback!
My scarfs fall off n the new night
Try a small scarf. I wear a neckerchief scarf on my head stays on all night. Back hair is out tho but I think thats what keep the scarf in place if u get me cos hair stuckinglg out over tied bit keep it down. I duno just kno smaller scraf stays on 🤷🏽♀️
Is this a every night thing?
olivia whitehead this is probably about 4-5 times a week
