Constantly! It's like he doesn't know any other way of sleeping, LOL! The top half of his body is twisted one way while the back half has legs spread wide open. The only time he sleeps on his belly is when he's on my lap.
Our cat Wilson loves to sleep on his back with his belly fully exposed and his front legs straight up on his sides and his back legs limp and out. I've had cats my entire life (43 years) and I've never seen a cat do this. Wilson was a rescue cat who just happened to show up in our yard. He was approx 5-6 months old however he was very thin, all bones. Now he is 19 lbs of pure love. His purr is also the loudest I've ever heard. ❤ We are so lucky he found us. We got him checked at the vet, neutered, and microchipped. His feline companion is our female Siamese cat. He often admires her and stares at her blue eyes. ❤❤
My cat Twix loves her belly rubs on her terms. She will allow you to do it until she meows. That's her sign to stop. Follow her rules, and all is good. If you don't be prepared to be scratched or bitten.
My moms cat absolutely loves belly rubs. Every time I come over, she jumps on my lap, rolls on her back and demands me to spend 15 minutes rubbing her belly and really knead it with two hands. Ive never seen another cat who wants that but she absolutely loves it.
👍👍 I always try to achieve a Ratio. Of the times my cat is being cute, I don't necessarily _absolutely melt_ for them every time. The times the cat is being a bit standoffish, sometimes I try to "troubleshoot" it, sometimes I just leave her to it. I remind myself that she is a Person, not a "chore" or a checklist, and _never_ a toy. I do my best to show her that I see her, I accept her, I love her and I'm here to support her and share my whole self with her. I might not always get it right but I think she understands that I am trying, and appreciates it 💛👍
When my cats show their bellies, I offer an index finger for face/whisker rubs, ear scratches, etc. They usually want some kind of touch, but if not, I let them just chill. If they’re happy, I’m happy.
I have been raised with cats from a very young age. I know the cat belly rules. My current feline friend is a weirdo! Panther Kitty drags my hand to his belly for pets. It is the strangest thing. I keep telling him he's a true cat weirdo - he also does NOT knock things down, jump on tables or counters, does NOT steal fries or chips or any 'human' foods. Every cat I have ever had can not resist fries until him! Goof ball.
All cats like to eat different things. One cat I had loved avocado. Another one liked unflavored corn chips. Latest model came with a preference for shredded tobacco and raw seaweed. Cats are weird. And I love them.
My last 2 cats refuse all people food, except tuna. My soul kitty, before them, loved tomato sauce in almost every way you could use it. He'd get just the soft part of pizza crust with sauce only and think it was manna from heaven! Only a few small bites though.
@@pla5730 Olives are dangerous to cats because of 1) a chemical in them, and 2) high sodium. This was told to me by my vet and I've since seen articles saying the same.
@@terriwetz6077 Mine will steal the cheese and toppings off my pizza, leaving only tomato sauce on bread, if I doze off while eating a pizza. He also expects a piece of salmon sashimi if I'm eating sushi or sashimi. For the most part, though, he's a well-behaved kitty when it comes to food. He'll sometimes want a sniff or two of what I'm eating, especially if unfamiliar, but usually, that's it.
A cat (with a Spanish bad word on his name tag) presented my friend with his belly. She tried to rub it and got scratched. She still has a scar. I would be cautious touching a cat's belly. Just because you can look doesn't mean that you can touch!
This was full of such cute cat bellies! I've tried to show my cat I trust him by laying on the floor by him on my back and trilling at him. He looked unamused at first, but then lay down next to me and started purring. It was worth the backache! 👍
My orange cat will roll over for pets. He'll stretch out for stomach pets. When he was a kitten, he didn't mind being petted on stomach. So it just depends on the cat.
Periodicamente quando è molto rilassato mi mostra la pancia,ma al contrario di ciò che è stato detto la accarezzo e non si innervosisce.... Anzi.. Amore vero☺️
My current owner curls up by my side I can put my hand on her rump if she stretches out the belly gets rubbed otherwise she turns around so she gets ear and neck rubs . Something I miss read and she gets up and moves.
Lies, lies I tell you! My kitty loves getting his belly rubbed, and have done so since he was a tiny kitten. Back then, I'd be laying in bed and he'd try to curl up under my chin with my hand on his belly gently scratching away. Since then, he's grown quite a bit. Like, he's a LARGE cat. He still tries to wiggle his bum under my chin, though, and still loves the belly scratches. Only problem is that it's quite soothing, which means I will sometimes doze off while providing his belly scratches, and he's not in favor of that. While he'll happily snooze on my chest, both while I'm awake and asleep, he wants nothing of this stopping belly rubs in the middle. Though I usually wake up when he starts to leave and try to continue, it's usually too late - the moment has passed, and I can't entice him back.
Does your cat show you their belly? 🐈
My cat Tiger-J shows me his belly everyday.
Yes 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛ All three
Yes. Everyday. It's his default pose.
❤❤ ALL day long 😊

Number 1: IT'S A TRAP!
Years of being owned by a cat has taught me this valuable lesson.
My Ace loves to roll around on the floor and show his belly. I spray cat nip spray on Ace's favorite roll around spot.

Not a cat, but my ex-sister-in-law's dog practically demanded belly rubs.
