Your 2nd method is not the Butler method I’ve used, but it works!

The BUTLER method is well demonstrated by Amy Lynne Desighs.

What great ideas. I’ve done the Butler method, but as I’m sewing it onto the bag. This would be so much faster for me. Thank you for sharing!

That was an awesome video. I struggle with these open ends and end up hand stitching/tacking to make them look better. But these methods just solved that problem. Thank you

The only one I was “not” familiar with was the stitch and flip. I will be trying this now. Thanks much!!

Number 3 method: is unusual, How do those little diagonal seams look in a finished bag? Are they noticeable?

I have only used the second method. The other two are new to me. The third option seems easy to do.

I started out doing zips like you’re showing, but lately I just pull out any extra teeth and add zip stoppers to top. So much easier and more professional results for me. Zipper kits are handy for so many repairs in my alterations business.
