I can never understand why people choose to train with no footwear. That is stupid and risk to causing a foot injury. If the fight was real, I would consider stepping on the persons toes causing them pain to distract them while in a bind if the opportunity was available. If you have ever hit your toes while bare footed you should know how much that will hurts. In any sport, safety is always first, therefore wear shoes.

Parrying is moving your weapon to deflect and opponents attack. Blocking isn't a term I've found reading the manuals nor in training. However, you can block a line of attack by standing in a specific guard (ie you guard your left side which means that an opponent striking from that direction will end up hitting your sword). But then we're using the latter term; guard.

Now you just need to weapon swap to a dagger, use a gold pine bundle, do a little spin, and riposte
