Never stopped Bill, just hasn't been much info. We keep getting the same leaked specs, but the date changes. Any other news form now till Monday will get pick up ;)
@@OrdinaryFilmmaker I didn't mean to imply that you did, Simon. It seems that nobody covers Nikon -- likely because there's rarely anything to cover. Relax. I'm on your side!
I'd like to cover more of what they do, but there has been very little coming out this year, same for Canon really, which is why I cover patents. No offence taken.
From that last comment about colours makes me think we might be getting open gate and Red codecs if we are lucky ! That will get a ton of people excited ! If it’s software based I could see the Z 8 and 9 getting new codecs too .
Many are talking about canon Panasonic and Sony but Nikon is going to uppercut the industry with this camera. Hopefully it’s gonna be under $2500. Hoping for $2000-2200
@@OrdinaryFilmmaker if this camera has all the features that were rumored this will be the best sub $2500 hybrid camera for video. It’s an even better “title” if it was under $2000. This will even eat the BMCC6kFF lunch. Hoping for improved dynamic range for it to really stand out for video and stellar lowlight iso performance. Holy smokes this camera will be a hit.
@@OrdinaryFilmmaker I think if the Z9 sales are struggling it’s because of the Z8. But it’s always better to lose to your own products than to lose to your competitors lol Sony taught us that.
Nikon upstages Canon? I really don't know anything about the Z6 II so don't know what to expect for the Z6 III. I'll have to check that out. Thanks, Simon.
It's likely a 24MP camera so, in a sense, it competes with every one of Canon's full frame cameras from R100 to R1, except for the R5. The feature set will tell us which of Canon's cameras it most resembles.
Thanks for all the news, coverage, and live videos! Speaking of live videos, what happened to the most recent live video covering Canon? I missed it live and was going to watch it later but the video still isn’t up for rewatch.
I really hope Nikon hits BIG this time and this camera will have amazing AF capabilities and won't disappoint. Being released 4 years after z6ii and 2 years after R6ii, we are in the right to expect consistent performance in 2024. If Nikon still uses the old z6/z6ii/zf sensor it will be quite upsetting to be honest
Nikon should use red raw instead of N raw, we can pay for the extra, i am happy to pay 300bucks for RED color scinece, licence red color for photo mode and video mode seperately for 300 even to 500 usd , you'll make a futune Nikon!!!!! And it make you even the No.1 player in mirrorless maket! Collabrate with RED and make this happen please!!
yall crazy that's bad if they start charging for features in midlevel cameras. That means the entire industry would follow and charge for updates on all cameras. Leave that stuff for the high end cameras and cinema cameras. You just want doors to open for all types of foolishness.
@@RayValdezPhotography Red color is different, not a lot of ppl like nikon skin color even after color correction. I mean we want red color codec with red color science, not just the compressed raw codec.
@@RayValdezPhotography look at panasonic losers gh7, they even license Arri LogC now! I'd be happy to have Arri color science in a full frame compact mirrorless body. I will buy panasonic s5iii with Arii color :)
I guess I had seen the trailer later than you. Thanks for the coverage. I watch all content, it's just that I'm a Nikon shooter. Still nice to know what the other brands are coming out with in their cameras.
Sony and Canon officials may lose sleep over the possibility of Nikon incorporating Red software capabilities into the upcoming Nikon Z6 III. Industry insiders are currently grappling with this predicament. This conclusion suggests that the Nikon Red marriage occurred earlier than anticipated, allowing Nikon ample time to thoroughly evaluate and test software implementations.
As long as Canon and Nikon keep on refusing to fully open to third party lens manufacturers, I will not buy their product anymore! I still use Canon EF for full frame and Fuji X-H2 as mirrorless crop factor. For full frame mirrorless, Sony seems to be the candidate, the future will tell...
I‘m waiting for the Z7 III Not really interested in a 24MP camera to be honest. 30+MP would be fine but if the Z6 III will be 24MP I’ll wait for the Z7 III. HOPEFULLY in 2024!
Now that's how you do a teaser! Take notes Canon!
One thing id love to see is the tracking and autofocus from the z8/z9 on the z7 iii and z6 iii
Really looking forward to this release 🎉
Nikon isn't messing around.
It is very good to see you covering Nikon, Simon! Bravo!

I think you are bang on. The R6 OO is $1,999 and the a7 IV is $2,498... Sony is looking a little over priced...
@@OrdinaryFilmmaker , it's the same with flagship cameras. Sony's a1 is $1,000 more than Nikon's Z9.

Z9 price is very competitive. I'd love to see Sony A1 sales against the Z9 sales.

I'm looking forward to the details. We should get hem soon.
pre ordering is also potentially asking for trouble, thru getting a unit that will need to be sent back. It's a trade off ;-))
The first to buy are often the ones dealign with most issues. It is better to wait in most cases, but I understand the desire to be first.
z6 III coming soon informative detail thanks Simon.

Canon, hello. Anyone there? Anyone? Anyone?
Good job Nikon, what were all these R5II, R1, A1II noises for such a long time 🤣🤣🤣
Is that slow motion video suggesting 4k 120?
Rumours have indicated that... at that price point, that's a wow. The GH7 does 4K 120 for similar price point.
@@OrdinaryFilmmaker That would be a winner right there!
Agreed
You don't sound excited like you usually for Sony and Canon

@@superstringsbro yeah because it makes such a big difference....
Anything on Canon R6 III?
Nothing, zippo, zilch!
Most likely just a rebadged aka rebodied Zf. But still costing $2000 or more.
Every rumor suggested a new sensor so we'll have to wait and see.
Anything less than 32 megapixels doesn’t interest me….
