It's a tragic fictional story that runs throughout their music videos so there's a few things that wouldn't make sense unless you watched them in order and/or know about the story. Example (also a tiny spoiler): The reason why J-Hope was laying on Snicker bars is because when his character in the BU was a boy, his mother brought him to a carousel in an amusement park, gave him a Snickers, told him to close his eyes and count to 10. When he opened his eyes, his mother was gone.
It's a part of bangtan Universe(their storyline) so it's gonna be a bit hard for you guys to understand some their MVs. These types of MVs are marked as BU content. No CGI is used even in scenes like jungkook running and blocks falling,suga sitting infront of fire, Jin in between explosion, Jimin in between water.
Fun fact, when Jungkook runs through the hallway and the floor is falling, that was set up. No green screen, no digital affects, the floor actually fell. Same with when jimin is standing In that room and water starts pouring out. That actually happened. They have behind the scenes videos if you want to see it.

Fake love was my first BTS song I ever heard on the radio in 2018. I had no idea who they were but I bopped with the song. I didn't even become an ARMY after that, I became army in 2020. Fake love will always be special to me and my top song by them for the sole reason that it brought me to BTS and it is such a good song !!! I just love the production on the song and how explosive in nature it is!
You guys should do a series where you go from their oldest to the newest MVs :) Another thing if it isn’t too hard, would it be possible you look up and read the lyrics (we love your thoughts on the lyricism and what you think the meaning is) before the video or after? Totally recommend edit: all of the music videos tie together to write a story, it’s part of the bts universe- so yep everything has meaning even the snickers lol. This MV is a continuation of the story line, which was why some of it didn't make sense to you. They also do not use green screen and if you watch the behind the scenes can see the sets are all real! right? the song arrangement is epic. there are like 2 different refrains versus the conventional flow of songs of stanza, refrain, chorus, stanza, bridge or refrain, then back to chorus. this song took an entirely different route yet still remains so catchy is such a genius song arrangement. plus of course the lyricism, messaging, and the crazy choreo and music video. 💜 there's an explanation video for this.

This will forever be my favorite song also❤️ It's so beautiful the lyrics is so meaningful and poetic, the melodies are insane the choreography is fire. Beginning of the video the flower turned to sand, in the break in the music JK turned the sand back to petals which opened a door for him to change fate. The storyline follows a particular order but this was this videos part. He was watching everyone struggle(above the sink, behind the wall, through the keyhole etc) so he changed fate.
J-hope's mom abandoned him when he was 8 with a snickers bar in a carnival. From there he went to a orphanage for 10 years.. That snickers part is depicting that fake love... 🥺🥺🥺

One of my fav BTS songs for sure and it never gets old! There is a whole universe BTS created linking most of their MVs together into a story line called the BU. This MV is a continuation of the story line, which was why some of it didn't make sense to you. They also do not use green screen and if you watch the behind the scenes can see the sets are all real! right? the song arrangement is epic. there are like 2 different refrains versus the conventional flow of songs of stanza, refrain, chorus, stanza, bridge or refrain, then back to chorus. this song took an entirely different route yet still remains so catchy is such a genius song arrangement. plus of course the lyricism, messaging, and the crazy choreo and music video. 💜 there's an explanation video for this.

Beginning of the video the flower turned to sand, in the break in the music JK turned the sand back to petals which opened a door for him to change fate. The storyline follows a particular order but this was this videos part. He was watching everyone struggle(above the sink, behind the wall, through the keyhole etc) so he changed fate.
J-hope's mom abandoned him when he was 8 with a snickers bar in a carnival. From there he went to a orphanage for 10 years.. That snickers part is depicting that fake love... 🥺🥺🥺

Great reaction. You should check out their B-Side tracks which is where their music really shines. Most of their Title tracks are nice but their B-Sides are another world to explore.
You need to delve into the BTS Universe, that will unravel the storyline for you - all the MVs connect they have a storyline running through them.
