Awesome truck! Love the driver as well! Another great video! I have to say- watching OTHER people's videos is like pulling teeth!! = very hard to watch!!- I'm like, come on man!- get with it!- you need to watch Tomley rc to learn how to make a video‼️👍👍
I only have one small scale crawler, a TA Sendero 24, and the steering throw is *terrible*. When I saw the steering at 9:06 I was so jealous. If my Sendero would turn worth a crap, I'd spend more time with it.
Very cute and the suspension move looks very cool. Even with the little imperfections like the very cheap colour that is faded in the rear bumper still is cute. The point is that the rc hobby cars are thousands times better than toys , that's why we choose them.
The 6x6 platform is a headscratcher. The cab is really good. I have found one actual Apache setup with 6x6 online, it's a custom build and really nicely done. On limited $$$ for model building and R/C can't see adding this to the stable. But if one of the bodies came my way would not hesitate to take a razor saw to it and put the cab on a 4x4 chassis with a flatbed or something. As a "senior statesman" I do remember these GMC trucks vividly growing up. The cab is one of the best FMS has ever made. Even down to the color. But the Atlas makes much more sense because those old Power Wagons were available with a 6x6 chassis from the factory and were sold that way to the military and telephone/power cable laying companies and were equipped for carrying cable spools and A frame winches. But the Apache pretty sure was never offered this way and other than the custom build one on line haven't found one yet. Be cool to see FMS make a Ford or GM C.O.E. I think there's enough R/C vehicles out there for a hauler in this scale.
That's pretty badass...Not really a Chevy fan...I'm a Ford guy...but I love the 50's style versions of both of them so I'll still buy it regardless... Looks like it does really well in the video...a little hop up couldn't hurt though.
I grew up in the 50's in the states and this body style is very familiar to me. Of course they didn't;t have six wheels. It's a very cool looking crawler and a unique idea.
So I looked this thing up, I'm a 77 model and don't remember seeing a 6x6 ever. They made it for a bit, but really never took off. Personally, I'll take mine slammed, on 4 Cragar Wheels, thank you very much. ;-)
hola Amigo muy buenos dias como estas , muy bonito este nuevo camion , este estilo de autos replica es lo mejor , gracias por compartir este nuevo video saludos y exitos siempre
Great vid, Tomley, and some lovely trail footage. I'd love for FMS to make some classic British cars next, but I guess there isn't much of a market for them.
The Power Wagon is 40's and Parma had a 30's era Ford model T. The Apache 6x6 is also a DLC truck in Snowrunner. I'm not a big Chevy fan, but it is nice to see anything that isn't a Jeep or Toyota. Great review and running video.
@@TomleyRC That would make it the same scale as a hard body Midnight Pumpkin, a 1953 Ford F100. Perfectly matched-looking playmates, though very different in design and intended use.
@@TomleyRC I still wonder why the Lunchbox was so much more popular, as I think the Pumpkin body is utterly beautiful and, back in the day, saw the Lunchbox body as boxy in shape and uninteresting. But I was in a huge minority; I reckon they sold six or seven Lunchboxes for every Pumpkin!
I'm waiting on the RocHobby Magnum in 1/18 (A 1948-1950 Ford F1). By my measurements it will scale out to 1/15 scale but only a few people in Europe have gotten their hands on it.
Nice project there , sort the lights and suspension a crane on the back some good paint and weathering and a couple of hillbilly’s and you would have a nice looking recovery truck to take your Brocken down car and your family to be butchered in the woods , the ( wrong turn ) movie springs to mind , stay safe mate .
Very nice indeed 😳 I just got my first fms I should have waited for this 😬 As a matter of fact I actually seen one like this today in my village it was blue also but only 4x4 ( as they are in real life not 6x6). JJRC q60 it's old also . I would have one as a 4x4. 6x6 spoils it for me
looks pretty good, it's just a shame about those lights and the rear wheels are just a bit too far back in the arches. looks like they should just be a bit more central in the cut out.
Great video! I'm really tempted by these 6x6 FMS models. I put some Injora bead lock super swampers on my FMS FJ. I really like the original look, but those tires really improved crawling performance and increased the ride height a bit. They still look scale-ish, so it was a win. I'd love to do the same to a 6x6, but since the tires only come in groups of 4, I would either have to buy 2 sets of tires for one vehicle with 2 spares, OR buy 2 different 6x6s and 3 sets of tires. Adult decisions :D
Not so easy on a 6x6. The rear tires will rub each other. I wanted to put bigger tires on my TRX6 G63 but was gonna have to move the rear axles, find new links for the suspension , drill new holes for shock mounts, find drive shafts to fit, find new cables for the diff locks. It was gonna be way more trouble than it's worth.
Well it is apparent that this is larger than 1/18 as it should not dwarf the 1/18 Cheyenne Jeep 6x6 by that much. Unfortunately this is a custom 6x6 and not a stock truck so it will have to be scaled from the cab and the width, maybe.
The 6x6 really bugs me for this body style. Chevy and or GMC might have had a 6x6 in a Tow truck, but never for passenger vehicle. Personally, This body on a 4WD chassis would be something very nice to look at.
hey tomley if you unplug 2 of the wires for the hilux its the closest to the front and right unplug those 2 and no more annoying blinkers also where do you get upgradeds for the fms?
Better than the one in snowrunner (i know only a few will understand)
Ok pro gamer
@Davemike27 sure
The Apache and defenders are the only dlc I haven’t bought. Twinsteer6900 is my goat.
Snow.... snow.... I've heard this somewhere....
_Looks at other Floridians for a clue_
Yanaw, sorry man...
Hey Frog that’s exactly what I thought of when I saw this vid (that useless piece of garbage Apache in sr) 😠
This would have been the perfect “blue blue is my truck 🎶” …. Lovely ❤
Yes… I was trying to keep this one a little more sensible haha. Next time 🥳
That fms 6x6 apache looks cool I going get me one
That is one nice looking Chevy! Agree with You on the shocks!
You know what i am going to say Phil don't you.....
I want it !
That body. That colour, i love it !

I think they use to have oil shocks for the "Trail Trekker". kyosho maybe? But they'd probably work great.

Thanks Carlos

I love the 1950's! 🙂
Love these FMSs and your reviews on them to. 👍
That is cool 6x6 chevrolet there, looks nice and performs 👌🤠 Looks cool on its off-road environment
From the state's. I think traditional body would be and look better. Although it is sharp looking. Love FMS real look.
You make me giggle over the indicators every time lol. I do like that., great review as always. Left a thumbs up 👍
That is such a great looking truck
I agree ☝🏼
Loved the truck and the music.
Hell yeah🙂, hit me up 👆 i got something for you🎁
Never in my 64 years have I seen an Apache 6x6, nor ever wished to. I would own this, or have it ordered if it was 4wd or even 2wd.
Wow new rc again
Cool truck, I like the look. Seems to go ok too, Good review.
I’ve got the power wagon 6x6, and the “glacier “ k10, I’m gonna have to get this 59 Apache
The K10 Glacier is such a good truck for the money 👌

I just got a Atlas 6x6 and it's a good out of the box vehicles. I like the old-school look , I like the blue thanks for the video.
You should put monster truck wheels on it so it will look like the one on snowrunner
They should have put the Powerwagon's two speed transmission, it's great and makes it a lot of fun

FMS/RGT leading the way for sure! I will say Traxxas is coming after them soon with their new 1/18 rigs. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
take the entire fms collection to the trail
