Little known fact: if you take the "Glacier" sign off of the tailgate, you'll see "Chevrolet" engraved in the plastic!
FINALLY! Some proper unbiased footage of their actual differences. Until now I used to think the EazyRC were such a deal, but now, I'd put my money for the FMS... Although I wish their electronics were a bit closer to the modulation and lighting options/modes of the 1/12th Jimny that I own, which is absolutely spot on!👌🏻

I would be tempted to put a wpl res V3 on one of the cheaper ones to see how it then compares to the fms. At only £30 it'd be a great upgrade and you'd have sound and full lights. 🤔
Thanks again for letting us all drive these tiny trucks mate. The difference between them was quite marked when driving back to back. I'd sum up the price difference like this, EazyRC - for the kids, FMS - for the Dads.

The tires may or may not look or feel identical between models, but fear not because you can easily alter the stiffness of any tire by removing it from the rim and "massaging it". Just go around the tire tread with both hands and pretend to lightly tear it in half with the same motion as if you were trying to tear a piece of paper in half. Flip the tire over or go in the other direction and also "pinch it" around its circumference. You cannot alter the tire's dry or sticky composition, but you can make the tire flatten and deform for better traction off road (the same as lowering tire pressure on 1/1 vehicles which is what we are trying to mimic). I did this on some MN90 tires
I had purchased the K10 as a birthday present for myself, and it was the red one with the full interior, and everything drove it three times, and it locked up, took it apart a couple weeks ago, after about a year of sitting, found out that the bearing on the end of the motor was wasted probably from the moment I bought the truck, so I just put a new motor in it and a new transmission with metal gears and everything and upgrade from the plastic gears that had had to do some trimming because it didn’t quite fit because it was a little too big, but I got it in there Now I have a truck that I’m actually happy with it’s time to do some upgrades and give her the life she deserves
as the saying goes, pay for what you get in some circumstances. example, i paid cheap for my cars wheel bearing/hub unit. not even a year later, that nice humming noise returns. i bet your mates enjoyed trying them out and another cool video! and btw, i replaced both sides on the car. cheaper bearings are not always the best. would be interesting if you upgraded the cheaper ones and the cost difference to do so on the cheaper models. cheers! see you in the next video!
just a quick suggestion - when you are doing close up comparison shots of two different RC's, maybe put some type of annotation on the screen to help keep track of which model we are looking at. i was having a difficult time keeping track of the circuit boards when you were comparing the two. just a thought ™

The red truck you can change the lights with the controller. On / off 4 way flashers and Direction lights.

As I watched the video, I kept thinking "Man, that yellow FJ looks like fun!". I checked the Amazon US link, and it's currently $106! About $25 cheaper than the EasyRC variant. Sold! Gotta love that Amazon pricing algorithm sometimes.

You can buy the metal diff gears for the FMS and they fit the Glacier (i think).The transmitter for the FMS is much better, also the new FMS seems to have a real reciever that is a solid plastic unit rather than just a circut board. The new FMS does not have functioning tail lights or turn signals, there is no wires or bulbs in the tail lights. I got both trucks on Amazon for 140 each, perhalps where you buy it and when makes a difference in what you get. I have seen different fms transmitters in different videos. Needs redit
This Amazon seller is sending the red and white one out to customers with wrong electronics that are used in the FCX24 and without working turn signals/brake lights!!Completely missing lights/wires!!Also wrong transmitter!!I'm sending mine back and other's in reviews have same issue so buyer beware.

I'd buy the blue Chevy, replace the circuit board with a Hobbywing 1625 and a standard 2.4ghz radio system. Then you could plug in the lights properly. It would give superior control and still come in well under the cost of the FMS.

@@ziglanauthiz499 No idea. You can just solder the ESC motor wires to the motor terminals. It'll work fine.

You get what you pay for is very true when comparing these. Even on the video is clear to see the FMS you have much finer control at lower speeds.
If you pull the back sticker off the tail gate of the blue glacier pickup it has an ingraved Chevrolet badge!

Have both on the way, the red for the shelf and the blue to use. Not a fan of the black bumpers and grillen so i bought the chromed ones for it.

I’ve heard a rumour that they are chrome underneath… not looked into it yet. I’m sure they are just black moulded plastic, but you never know!

Scored a deal on a glacier with trailer with a lil quad in it. And has wheel and tire upgrade
Love my Glacier. Painted it like the Canadian Military truck I had. Probably the only Canadian cucv up to now.

Not enough of a difference in my opinion to justify the extra price difference. Some brass weights would help out in the weight dept. on the EAZY Rc . The light format is not a big deal for me either. One thing EAZY Rc should do is give some heavier springs like hobbyplus does with their 1/18 models. I don’t want to pay extra for the nice foam box the FMS come packaged in. I’m not driving the box! At least they give you 3 choices though. The budget one is the winner in my thoughts. Metal axles gears, licensed body, metal chassis, better electronics… I mean it’s got quite a few ‘upgrades’. But either way, the EAZYRC is really good for the money

@@TomleyRC plastic gears pulling a plastic frame and axles = less strain on those plastic gears . If one wanted to buy all the metal gears they could do so @ Ali Express for under $20 US. They even sell the little Chevy decal for the front grill for around 2 bucks ! That’s less than a cup of your average ☕️😂😝
@@BangForYourBuckRc oh you _own_ two. I'll just chalk everything you've said up to confirmation bias then. I mean I don't like it either, I wish all cheap things were as good as their expensive counterparts, but you can easily see how smooth and controllable the FMS are compared to the jumpy jerkiness of the Eazy RC.
@@demonstructie not biased, just frugal which is why I have two. Buying the EAZY Rc version twice saved me over $100 over burying its way more expensive brothers. And I still have its original blister pack and box in mint shape( unsure why) but I can always put it back in the box if I want to. The slight bit of jerky ness isn’t that evident to warrant the extra $50+ in my opinion. Either way the money I save I improve a bunch of things and still save.

So basically buy two of each FMS offering and then order up spare body kits from EasyRC to get the full kit ;)
I bought one (fms red K10 truck) and the motor failed after driving a total of about 30mins. Got another one (warranty) and it didn‘t eve last 30mins. Anyone had similar issues?

The cheaper chevy rear lights look moulded/glued squarer to the body when you look at the lights vs white stripe on the more expensive one.

I feel that this comparison is like diesel compared to petrol. I’m not saying or wrong but I feel like it’s all down to how you drive and if you are used to your rig or not.

I've heard some putting in the RES v3 from WPL in them, and it makes them heaps better. Kinda want to try that on my Eazyrc Arizona when I have the time.

About the Chevy K10 and the Glacier : one year later, i'm surprised to see both rigs are now on the same price (about $140). About the average value of the first prices.
Seen on fairrc website. I can't believe the features have been upgraded for one and downgraded for the other. So, i ordered a Chevy K10, though i like better the Glacier body.
Any idea why this happened ?

A fairly new subscriber here. Enjoying the content. But, why do none of these vehicles have a 'driver'? Nice vehicle details spoilt with no figures. In use they are 'unreal'. Even a silhouette on a window would look better!!!!!
Thanks for the sub... as for figures, I always try to get some in as I agree with you that they look so much better with a driver. But with these trucks you have to pull them completely apart to fit a driver and the ones I have were a little too big. I'd like to see manufacturers add a driver as standard, it doesn't cost much to resin print them

I was considering the Glacier, but plastic gears? urgh. At least in an rtr WPL C24-2 you get brass gears.

No, I think they are owned by the same company. FMS are the top level owners of all 3 (FMS, Rochobby, EasyRC)
@@TomleyRC Working on Both my MN45 and C24 I found them so similar, I thought it was a Honda/Acura situation. More of a Toyota/Honda thing I guess. Thank you for clearing up my ignorance. I'm new to the hobby.
@@mraltoid19 MN stuff like axles suspension arms etc are slightly wider/longer than equivalent WPL parts,I had much headscratching at one point before I knew.and sometimes the polarity wires to circuit board are opposite.
I want to get a mini crawler but there are so many out there I don’t know which one to choose. If I wanted to be closer to $100-150 dollars, which one would you suggest? Would you go with the newer brands/models or do you have an old faithful you prefer?

The FMS doesn’t actually perform any better than the easy RC, it’s more of a mental thing, “the more expensive one performs better!“ well…. I actually bought the ESC, and the Motor and trans, Such from bangood…. Well they don’t, exactly the same performance….
I just wish they’d make a Transmission for a 370 motor
It does drive differently, softer/slower modulation and better steering. Also the extra weight makes it a bit more solid. Drive them one offer the other and you’ll see the difference.
Any idea if these k10 bodies will fit the 1/18th outback texan mini?
I think it's too long, and would probably be a bit too heavy

Y'all really be going on about the spare wheels and tires on the back like those couple extra grams is really making THAT much of a difference with an RC car...

Sheesh, your camera work makes me sick, not because I get motion sickness through jerky video, but because I am spoiled on better channels. You should try keeping the camera steadier and pointing with your finger and not pointing with the camera, or gesturing with it. Plus, practicing that keeps things in focus longer instead of going in and out of focus every other second. 😛
