That was weird because he became his past self. Maybe you could say it's because it's only a day. But Nora (&DCEU Flash) actually rewind the event. But Barry clearly jumped into a 'worm whole' but ended up in his a day younger self... We definitely need a vid.
I think theres 3 kinds of time travel. Mostly we see the one where the present Barry visits the past or the future. The other type is going back to an earlier point after a possible death(just like a time loop). It happened in the great tsunami and the flash/arrow crossover with the explosion. Last one is Nora rewinding time similar to ZSJL Flash during Supes resurrection and the most epic Flash scene in existence(at least for me). But I guess there could be a video explaining all three types of time travel
Ok but what if his real plan was to become a paradox? Gives him an endless life because the speedforce wants the timeline to be as stable and without change as possible
He kind of already was. That’s why he came back. Plus, the speedforce can’t do anything about Thawn since he’s part of the negative speedforce which is a whole separate thing
That’s what I thought his plan was. I wouldn’t be surprised if he pops up in the current season since the actual speed force didn’t die. OR maybe we get a new version of him since it’s post crisis.
@@ange1noha1o the negative speed force isn’t necessarily its own thing, it is like a branch of the speed force since it feeds from it. Still a good take you got though
The reason that the wraiths didn't attack Barry during Flashpoint is because the Speed Force knows what she's doing. She also knows about every possible future. So she knew that Barry would suffer under his own consequences and reverse things. No need for her to step in.
6:33 Simple answer Barry's friends with the Speed Force, so no time wraits after him (Friendship confirmed from with first few episode of Season 7 which aired till now)
Next question: Thawne cant move fast enough to travel in time. Barry can travel fast enough to travel through time. Thawne is faster than barry. Thawne can't travel through time? (Maybe Im just missing something that I should remember)
Thawne knows how time travel works so he can’t move recklessly like Barry without altering the timeline and or alerting the time wraiths and black flash.
What if eobard knew that barry wont save his mother so he just told him to open a portal to the past, for barry to have a reason to open a portal to the past for eobard
If you remember in season 3 Into the Speed Force, when Barry is talking to the Speed Force version of Eddie, he said that they let him create Flashpoint because Zoom had just killed his dad. That’s why Time Wraiths never came after him in the Flashpoint timeline.
7:04 no Barry didn’t luck out in 3x15 into the speed force, the speed force explains that the only reason it didn’t punish Barry was because it was feeling bad because barry had just lost Henry as well
In the season 3 episode where Barry goes into the Speedforce to save Wally, The Speedforce says that they let Barry do Flashpoint because they understand Barry's grieving.
Oooh. I do remember that actually and the Speed Force does seem to have a deeper connection with Barry. I think the time wraith they sent in episode 17 of season 2 was just to scare off Barry because why kill him. Then they don't send one after Barry for Flashpoint because of what you said and hoping he would learn his lesson in the future.
Can you also talk about how it made sense that Thawne was still imprisoned if Cicada was cured? Like how does that make sense. The dagger disappeared from existence when baby Cicada took the cure so how was Thawne kept imprisoned by something that doesn't exist? The part about changes take time to solidify doesn't even make sense since the point in time baby Cicada took the cure and Thawne imprisoned are years apart
and the answer to why eobard wanted barry to save Nora is because he's from the future and the newspaper from 2024 says flash vanished in crisis so he knew barry would not save her although he thought he would get home since he built his own speed force and can think really fast but thought wrong.
It was because the Eobard that Barry stops would and did become a time remenant while the one Barry knew gets to leave. Even so that time remenant eobard wouldn’t lose his connection to the negative speed force as we saw in legends of tomorrow.
Mad coincidence that I have started rewatching the flash today and am 7 episodes in. That's kind of a crazy coincidence, but I guess with the amount of people that watch your vids, the odds that one person would be in my situation isn't as unlikely as it seems
I think he did it because he knew Barry inside and out, past and future, and also knew he wouldn’t actually do it. It took his dads death to finally push him over the edge
Hey you should make a video on phasing/vibrating, cuz as of now it seems like you can do anything. You can phase through ppl and kill them, you can phase through people and not kill them (zoom phased through caitln and she was fine) u can counter act a reverse flash by also phasing (nora tryna kill barry) you can become invisible, you can grab something through a wall which is weird cuz how do they control what they are phasing through and what they aren't. U can also break stuff (jay broke that cup) Also what happens if u stop midway through wall. Will the wall explode, do you get stuck in the wall, do u get every single atom split open and die? Also how do they control the phasing and not enter flash time, because u have to vibrate at a certain frequency so you can't just shake your arm as fast as you can. What does phasing look like to speedsters, since to us the arm is vibrating fast but to them in flash time they are just very slowly moving their arms and somehow it passes through stuff. Also they say different stuff is different frequency, so if there was a table, and stuff on the table, how do you phase through all of that stuff at once. If they can phase through anything, can't they just fall to the other side of the earth. He once phased a thing into the pillar to stop cicada, how come the thing was fully in tact. Theoritcally he should be able to phase out of stuff attached to him, so like if there was food in his mouth theoritcally he can phase and run really fast and the food would be left behind. On a side note, can they control their lighting, cuz a speed mirage theoritcally should have the lightning in between. Also if he is running and suddenly 180s would he run into his own lightning.
I always figured Thawnes real agenda other than just "getting home" was that in the future, he has the tech, power and the ability to fully restore his speed, something he can't do in this time with the current level of technology and resources available, cause I feel like he would need something that's exotic to this current time to do it, something that's actively gettable in the future, something like a concentrated form of energy source or maybe a particle accelerator built to get to something no particle accelerator built today can get to. Anyway, after restoring his speed, he would've continued fucking around with Barry's life. Also, side note here, but I think I figured out why Eobard managed to come back after being "erased" in season 1, remember how he said the negative speed force is immune to timeline changes? well even if he wasn't in it when he got erased, the fact that he has a connection to it prevented him from being completely erased, and instead just being dumped somewhere else in time or his speed force
1:50 not necessarily, you see in the original timeline Barry doesn't become Flash untill 2020, however Wally getting powers before Barry could easily be effect of changing the timeline, think of it like this, there is original timeline, Thawne goes back kills Barry's mom creating arrowverse timeline, Barry saves his mom putting timeline to how it was with some changes like wally becoming flash before Barry
I mean, we can see the reason in the Flashpoint episode: he knows Barry could never stay in that reality permanently. It’s the ultimate way to torture Barry. And especially since Barry would have to ask Thawne for help to undo it, it’s extra cruel. Thawne said it himself: “you’ll never be truly happy, Barry Allen.”
I think you misunderstood the whole thing. If Thawne at the end of season 1 did not tell Barry to go and save his mother, the future he returned to would not be his because thawne killing Barry's mother is what created a new timeline for him and Barry saving his mother, his mother did not die in thawne's time, would set the timeline back to thawne's original one
Every time u change the timeline u create another one it’s the basics of Quantum Mechanics and Cisco Vibed the timeline of Flashpoint from another timeline which was the very same timeline of S3’s Flashpoint and the Speedforce allowed Barry to live in Flashpoint that’s why no Timewraiths were hunting him!
One thing that confuses me in the season 1 finale of the Flash Eobard Thawne wanted Barry to go back in time to save his mother. However in the season 3 premier titled Flashpoint Eobard wanted Barry to allow him to kill his mother to fix Flashpoint. So shouldn't the version of Eobard Thawne from season 1 already know that Barry saving his mother would just create Flashpoint having already experienced it when he was younger?
I'm pretty sure either Thawne forgot just like everyone else forgot about Flashpoint except Barry because he created it, or he went back to his original future
How about the future that doesn't exist anymore? Why would Eobard want to return to a future that he's not even familiar with since he drastically altered the timeline by killing Nora? That's the only question I've been having for the past 6 years
Probably because he didnt think of the changes to his future or maybe there wasnt any since he lives around 2151 and the changes probably arent major or there arent any theres really no reason but thawne isnt stupid. he probably knew his future wasnt affected because its too far
When Barry was in the speed force in season 3 the speed force tells him that they allowed him to do flashpoint that’s why time raiths didn’t go after him
he’s about uhh 3 kilometers and 5 seconds slower than last season and we know this because you carry the one and uh multiply it by 1 and the divide it by 0 and you get 2 miles
It think that the Speed Force keeps copies of the previous timelines and that's where the past time remnants comes from and that's where Eobard went in s2 ep11. That's where past Barry would go such as the 2024 future in season 3 as it no longer exists in the main timeline but past Barry will end up going to a copy of it. Eobard may have been trying to go to a copy of his original timeline maybe.
My theory is that changes to the timeline are impossible to notice unless you are also a time traveler, meaning if Thawne gets to his own future before Barry reseats the timeline, he’s free to enjoy his own remnant of time, until he time travels again
At least we finally figured out why Eobart had such a hate boner against Barry,it's not just because he hates him,it's also because of the artificial speed force he created with rage as his power boost
I think it makes a little more sense if you see it from just a season 1 perspective, without the (even more) timeline breaking context of the future seasons. Eobard knows that his interference in the past is the reason his connection to the Speed Force is fucked and why he is stranded. By letting Barry save Nora, he effectively restores the original timeline, therefore his original future, so he can go back and have his proper connection to his Speed Force back. He is willing to go back to a world with OG Future Flash, if that means having his speed back proper and being able to go home.
If you payed attention to many of the things thawne said in season 1, he went back in time to kill Barry after learning the flash’s identity. After Barry rushed his younger self out of there he wanted to do the next worst thing and kill his mother so many of his actions were out of spite and hate and he would harness the negative speed force just like him
Why Barry didn’t get the time wraiths after him for making flashpoint is because the speedforce let him, it states that when Barry goes into the speed force in season 3 to save wally
In the last 2 episodes it will go through the night where this will take place and the reason Barry ran off and disappeared is because he hid himself in the speed force because of the changes he would encounter
The only this is when the time wraith didn’t come after Barry in flashpoint is because in one episode the speedforce said to Barry we let you do it because your mum and dad died
Actually Back to the Future works the same way too. Remember, the "branched" timeline was going to overwrite the other so Doc and Marty HAD to go and fix things. If the branch created a separate universe they could just hop onto their old one but that's not what they did. So basically not too different from Flashpoint.
I think the reason the time wraiths didn’t come for Barry in flashpoint was because the speed force allowed it. Because when Barry enters the speed force to save Wally, he tries to take his place, saying flashpoint is his fault and the speed force says, yes they know and that they allowed him to live in that alternate timeline.
Simple answer Barry's friends with the Speed Force, so no time wraits after him (Friendship confirmed from with first few episode of Season 7 which aired till now)
@@faiz.marvel yes while that might be true now, back in season 3 the speed force and Barry didn’t have the best relationship. If you rewatch the episode when he enters the speed force to save Wally from the prison, the speed force tells him “we aren’t going to be as accommodating as last time” because the whole point of him getting his powers back after zoom took them was that the speed force felt he had accepted his mother’s death, and because of flashpoint the speed force felt betrayed
To try and fix Don's mistake going back in time trapping him in that time keeping his home the same that it was when he left. So basically trying to get everything normal for when he goes home
i think, if thawne goes back in to the future and barry saves his mom, in the far away future, the timeline will become the original timeline line where barry gets his powers in 2020 and his parents are still alive
As he states that no time wraith was after Barry when he created flashpoint, in season three in the speed force they said that they let him create flash point because zoom just killed his father
it was all to show and crush barry knowing it wouldnt be able to stick or barry wouldnt allow it to. just cementing to barry that he took his mom away from him forever.
I just want to point something out that has nothing to do with the video. The titles of the finales for the first 3 seasons sound like the all fit together. Season 1: Fast enough Season 2: Race of his life Season 3: Finish line. FAST ENOUGH TO DO THE RACE OF HIS LIFE AND REACH THE FINISH LINE
I think Barry just enters another timeline when he changes the past and the previous timeline still exists. Since Eobard is also a speedster, he can go to the timeline he wants, he just needs something like the wormhole. But yeah, the Arrowverse does constantly change their time travel rules.

I know I didn't explain it well but just try to understand
But I guess there could be a video explaining all three types of time travel
bro i laughed so hard when Eobard Thawne said “in many ways nora has shown me what it’s like to have a daughter” 😂 😂
Flash is always interesting and turns into a convoluted mess then a reboot occurs and the cycle continues and through it past plots make no sense
I gave up watching it because it got boring and confusing because of what you described
@@ange1noha1o but negative speed is cancer it’s siphons off the positive speed force
@@jamaurharris338 yes but it still exists separate from the positive speed force
Nice to see you again king 👍👍👍
Ikr lol
That’s why Time Wraiths never came after him in the Flashpoint timeline.
rewatched the episode the other day and wondered the same thing
How fast was Earth-90's Flash?
It would be nice seeing the OG Flash getting a video explaining what his top speed was.
Mad coincidence that I have started rewatching the flash today and am 7 episodes in. That's kind of a crazy coincidence, but I guess with the amount of people that watch your vids, the odds that one person would be in my situation isn't as unlikely as it seems
Make that two
I think he did it because he knew Barry inside and out, past and future, and also knew he wouldn’t actually do it.
Its always a good day when comics posts
Yep😉
I'm glad you started making these vids because I started rewatching the flash
I love how the way everything Barry does to save who he loves always ends up with Eobard Thawne coming back
I always figured Thawnes real agenda other than just "getting home" was that in the future, he has the tech, power and the ability to fully restore his speed, something he can't do in this time with the current level of technology and resources available, cause I feel like he would need something that's exotic to this current time to do it, something that's actively gettable in the future, something like a concentrated form of energy source or maybe a particle accelerator built to get to something no particle accelerator built today can get to.
Flash Writers: yah... yah. Write that down
In other words ... MY GOALS ARE BEYOND YOUR UNDERSTANDING !!!
Only channel I love and will stay w9th months between videos because you straight up explain stuff easily with understanding.
As always, wonderful video!
3:52 - That was not the show. That was just Jay Garrick. And they simply used that explanation for Flashpoint anyways.
Finnaly new viedo thx
Question: where did future flash go after he left Eobard in the past since his timeline was erased
@@marsmurderer9868Actually the season 8 Armageddon crossover proves that Eobard Thawne already knew about Flashpoint all the way back in season 1.
Great Video!
How about the future that doesn't exist anymore? Why would Eobard want to return to a future that he's not even familiar with since he drastically altered the timeline by killing Nora? That's the only question I've been having for the past 6 years
i also
Probably because he didnt think of the changes to his future or maybe there wasnt any since he lives around 2151 and the changes probably arent major or there arent any theres really no reason but thawne isnt stupid. he probably knew his future wasnt affected because its too far
When Barry was in the speed force in season 3 the speed force tells him that they allowed him to do flashpoint that’s why time raiths didn’t go after him
Crazy timing. I just rewatched the flash season one and finished it yesterday
Still waiting for comix to do a video on how fast season 7 the flash is.
he’s about uhh 3 kilometers and 5 seconds slower than last season and we know this because you carry the one and uh multiply it by 1 and the divide it by 0 and you get 2 miles
Did anyone else notice the break in the coffee mug when looks like the lighting bolt on Barry’s cowl?
Bro your so underrated still on 200k that's bs 💪💪
We not gonna talk about the cool cinematic shots for the intro?
I subscribed I love your videos on the Flash CW and other good movies/tv shows/ comic books
At least we finally figured out why Eobart had such a hate boner against Barry,it's not just because he hates him,it's also because of the artificial speed force he created with rage as his power boost
Love your vids man keep it up
I think it makes a little more sense if you see it from just a season 1 perspective, without the (even more) timeline breaking context of the future seasons.
I wish they would use Matt Letscher more
Man I love your videos a bit too much
The Reverse Flash should be the main villain of The Final Season of THE FLASH.
That background music u got is def A1 makes me feel like I’m playing old Pokémon Red
If you payed attention to many of the things thawne said in season 1, he went back in time to kill Barry after learning the flash’s identity. After Barry rushed his younger self out of there he wanted to do the next worst thing and kill his mother so many of his actions were out of spite and hate and he would harness the negative speed force just like him
Yay your back to CW flash epic
Why Barry didn’t get the time wraiths after him for making flashpoint is because the speedforce let him, it states that when Barry goes into the speed force in season 3 to save wally
In the last 2 episodes it will go through the night where this will take place and the reason Barry ran off and disappeared is because he hid himself in the speed force because of the changes he would encounter
It took me uh minute ta find your channel... algorithm got hiding skills
Bro you are awsome dude I love ur vids
Best way to put it, it would've put them in a time loop repeating the same timeline over and over again
The Negative Speed Force isn't the only place immune to timeline changes. The Waverider is too.
3:18, now imagine if all those speedsters were in Crisis
He wanted him to grab past him so he could survive.
@@whaleroad527 maybe we will get the actual reason later on
@@faiz.marvel yes hopefully so
To try and fix Don's mistake going back in time trapping him in that time keeping his home the same that it was when he left. So basically trying to get everything normal for when he goes home
i think, if thawne goes back in to the future and barry saves his mom, in the far away future, the timeline will become the original timeline line where barry gets his powers in 2020 and his parents are still alive
When someone ask if you have a plan and you tell them but they did not understand
*insert joker pic*
"You wouldn't get it"
Crazy how they basically fuck up this idea of no branching timeliness in season 9
As he states that no time wraith was after Barry when he created flashpoint, in season three in the speed force they said that they let him create flash point because zoom just killed his father
He knew it would create a Flashpoint
6:32 Didn't the Speed Force later tell Barry that they let him make Flashpoint because he was traumatized by his father's death?
it was all to show and crush barry knowing it wouldnt be able to stick or barry wouldnt allow it to. just cementing to barry that he took his mom away from him forever.
Because he wanted to back to his own timeline, which is the one that existed before he killed Nora
I think Barry just enters another timeline when he changes the past and the previous timeline still exists. Since Eobard is also a speedster, he can go to the timeline he wants, he just needs something like the wormhole. But yeah, the Arrowverse does constantly change their time travel rules.
