Not only this, but the speed mirages that Thawne and Barry made in season 1/2 were sort of obvious speedsters. They all had that blur, and they didn’t even do it for as long as Zoom would have to

I was confused at first but after rewatching the episode a couple times I understood. And it makes sense: basically he can make a speed mirage, but not one that can be on two earths at once

Wally has a more spiritual connection to the speed force which is why he can do things other people can’t. Barry’s connection to the speed force is more science based

Also consider that it's infinitely harder to make a speed mirage against a Speedster as they have a heightened perception, you'd had to be able to go faster enough for them to not pick it up in what is basically slo mo

He meant that he could create a speed mirage from Earth 1 to Earth 2. Sorry if I sound repetitive just want to make sure I understand.
I think the speed needed to achieve this feet would be absolutely broken.

I never understood how reverse flash could make a speed mirage when he was beating himself up. Like i get how u can trick other people with an illusion of being two places at a time, but how tf does Thawn create a speed mirage while changing in and out of his suit and back into his Wells clothes??? Especially when there is a speedster with super perception watching you??? On top of all that Thawn was able to beat up himself. That by itself is physically impossible no matter how fast. It is impossible for one speedster to interact with their own speed mirage let alone beat it up. That bit just never mad sense to me.

The whole "changing into the suit and back into his clothes" part, yes, it doesn't make sense, I agree with you, but about beating himself up, he only made it look like he was hitting Wells as Reverse Flash, I'm guessing that while switching places he hit himself at high speed to make himself bleed
I thought Barry wasn’t in the room because Wells and Joe said it was too emotional for Barry to be there. Barry only got there when he got an alert and then he came there to fight reverse flash.

I wonder if zoom meant a realistic speed mirage because the reverse flash mirage was kinda fuzzy and was obviously not him
Rewatched entire Flash while waiting for season 7. And from what I can say, rewatching season 3 for second time feels so much better compared to first time. There is also the scene "now who is the villain flash?!" with Thawne in Flashpoint, remember when Thawne said that Barry isnt showing any hints of the man he will "become". In addition to season 3, this hit me as if Savitar lied to Barry entire season. Surely Thawne wouldnt become Barry's biggest enemy just because he couldnt be the Flash, there must be more to it. Just like there has to be more to Savitar. Besides where did he get the suit? Who built it for him? How did Savitar "really" create himself? All questions remain unanswered. I really hope we get more from seasons to come.
You should make a video explaining how Nora’s lightning is purple because at first we thought purple lightning came from a meta-transmitting Powers from a natural speedster, But that is completely blown away because of Nora because she didn’t get her powers from another meta, and you said before that genetics didn’t affect lightning

I think the best way to make everybody happy is to admit that Reverse Flash from season one was having trouble with his powers and was likely Nowhere near his normal top speed.... As he directly stated that in the future he and future Berry are "opposites, rivals, reverses of one another" and that "neither of us was strong enough to defeat the other"
So reverse Flash in his prime would be MUCH faster than zoom But as we saw him in season one he is ample reason to be afraid when he sees zoom's jay Garrick helmet...

I always thought that he meant he wasnt fast enough to make jay garrick's "death" look convincing since when barry make's speed mirages they look all fuzzy and not really convincing

When I first watched this episode, I actually thought that, it only because I didn't have a good memory of the exact line, just a vague recollection. Then after re-watching the season, with the Dr. Light episode in particular, I was like, "oh eff me, of course he can do a speed mirage, a much slower Barry was able to do multiple speed mirages." Then getting to the episode where Barry gives Zoom his speed, and re-watching it, I'm like "oh, he's talking about having to go between a breech between two earth's to make it look like he's killing "himself," yeah, that would be kind of hard to do." TL;DR I wasn't paying enough attention the first time around, watching it pretty casually.
So yes, Zoom can absolutely do a speed mirage, just not under the extremely specific circumstances mentioned above. Case closed!

He was talking about making speed mirage as in being zoom and jay garrick at the same time. He couldn't run back and forth between 2 earths. But a simple speed mirage which thawne and barry do, are easy and zoom can do that too
Question. In the season 1 episode whereralph is named dropped when the electric guy is at star labs wells is talking about barry's heavy reliance on speed. When he is at cc jitters how did the coffe machine work fast enough to supply all those other customers. And I know there are countless other occurences where machinery moves at the same speed as barry so can we do a top speed video for the coffee maker or any other instances you can think of

I think it’s just that flash and reverse flash were able to do it because they were Connected to a speed force and also zoom was on a different earth and maybe different speedsters can do different things that others can’t also with the time remnants Maybe the zoom that got killed was the one from the future and that one was the faster one but the one that was not from the future was not fast enough so he was telling the truth also in the end of season 2 flash was a little slower then zoom and that was with him having flashes speed so like I said the one that said he was not that fast was really but the one that got killed was

Well... honestly it could be interpreted two different ways.
1) Zoom saying he wasn't fast enough to run between two different Earths fast enough to appear in two places at once.
2) Him saying he isn't fast enough to trick another speedster with it. Because from what I remember, Barry wasn't in the room when Thawne did it in season one, instead he was watching through a camera. So it makes sense that it takes a certain level of speed to trick the eyes of a speedster with a speed mirage.

It's pretty self-explanatory. In the context of the show. I get if you're a kid watching the show you would be like " OMG ! 😮 He's not faster than reverse flash !....I knew it 😏 " but adults.... yeah should have got this.
Basically, in context, zoom is referring to the fact that he's not fast enough to make a speed mirrage across earths. Cisco asks if "Jay" made a speed mirrage so he could survey Team Flash and make Barry faster while he was also wreaking havoc on Earth 2.
I mean yes the speedsters got faster as the the seasons went on apart from Trajectory the rival and godspeed

Something more tricky to explain is how Thawne managed to not only make it look like he beat himself up, but lie down and react to himself on the floor while also escaping the chamber, steal the device, run away with it to the time vault. Return to the room making them scared for a few seconds, kill or at least knock out the cops, push Eddie aside, threaten Joe before getting attacked by Barry. Then continue that fight throughout starlabs ending up on the parking lot, trashing barry, until he gets knocked back by firestorm and escapes. Meanwhile, he has to be back there on the floor all bloody and bruised so that they can treat him afters, meaning that he would need to hold back using his powers cause you see his bruise and cut disappear in real-time at the end of the episode. And no he couldn't have left the floor because while it's possible the push knocked Eddie out. Joe was shaken but awake and he would be checking on Wells since he at that moment believed that Wells was on the brink of death.
That was some season 4 barry level shit, and barry beat thawne in season 4.

Speed Mirage this and Speed Mirage that,yes I get the definition of it,but Speed Mirage doesn't mean you can hold yourself in the air and beat yourself up and still maintaining such illusion while being in the air.
The whole concept of beating yourself up is kinda absurd for it to be believable(Via the Speed Mirage thing,since it means he runs in between each positions and inflicted damage that he should've suffered on both ends) but to me...the nail in the coffin was him holding himself up in the air.
I thought of it as a plot hole back then,since it couldn't have been a speed mirage,but since a certain fight,it struck me that it could've been in actuality a Speed Scout/Clone.He showed it off when he went against Nora(XS) and Barry(this fight specifically,was what made me think).There is no way that is a Speed Mirage either(People argued that it was a Speed Mirage since at the end he merges back the same way he showed off the Speed Mirage in season 1,as in the same fast images between himself)
Think about it for a second...if he was Speed Cloning it would make sense as to how he could've done several things back then,such as inflicting so much pain to himself and seem relatively okay to continue fighting against Barry.If it were a Speed Clone that would make a lot of sense as to how he was able to do a lot of that with little contradictions.
"But he told Cisco and revealed him that it was indeed a Speed Mirage..."What if HE lied?We were shown that he knew that he was going to be Vibe all along,only revealed in later seasons (When Barry went back in time with Nora)
"Why would he lie?"Well,remember what Barry talked about with him?Barry saw another flash during that episode.Eobard then went on quickly to indicate the possibility of a Speed Mirage.But what if that too was a lie?
"Why would he lie about that as well,lol"Because Eobard figured that Barry was going to go back in time based on what he said and didn't want him to catch up that quickly.
"But why kill Cisco then,if he knew Cisco was going to become Vibe,then his plan would've been ruined since Cisco vibed about his death,which further doomed his plans"
He killed Cisco because he had no choice then,whether the timeline was going to be reset or not,he couldn't count on Cisco figuring it out then and there.And who knows maybe Cisco if left alive and Barry went back in time.Maybe Cisco would've vibed about it either way.But this time not interrupted by anything.It would've come like a constant reoccurring dream(instead of a nightmare) which would've sparked Cisco's curiosity to do it yet again.Cisco vibing his own death shut his future real attempt entirely.

That is true,however...there was one part on what he said after reuniting with his clone."I guess you are not as good a teacher as I am"Which made me think...what if he did in fact lie about it.I mean his signature move was just that and him saying that just means he didn't tell him everything.Which makes sense.He never taught Barry how to phase until he needed to,until his plan required him to do so.
I have so many things I can go about this show,on Barry,Zoom,Eobard and Savitar.Oh boy,on Savitar...I have a ton.
