Thank you so much for creating and sharing this video with us. P.S. Do you think that Rio in the Agatha All Along series is the demon that you were talking about or a sister to Agatha?
I spent more of that video's run time than I'd like to have trying to figure out why Drake was dressed like a youth pastor at a funeral. The best I've come up with is it being cosplay of the villain from Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost, which would be a absolutely wild deep cut that's somehow still weirdly relevant to the video (if only through theming).
Before this and the introduction from Wandavision, i thought she’s been a villain because of her name: Agatha Harkness; Agath-a-Harkness; Agent of Darkness. But I guess it’s just me
While I do really like some of the stuff they've been doing with Agatha I'm really not too keen on her being more of a villain (morso anti-villain) now, as I've always seen her as a uniquely heroic character in her own right, but I do have some confidence that will see her and more heroic roles in the future (kind of akin to Scarlet witches back and forth)
Love the mug. Still a little confused about which bits of Agatha's history were written before Wandavision and which ones were written after. I'm guessing anything where she looks young is written after Wandavision: is that right?
Jane Lapotaire is Agatha Harkness. 100% comics accurate. Casting her would have been an act of homage to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's original classic Agatha Harkness.
I've been reading Scarlet Witch vol 1 of the 2016 series and been loving Agatha Harkness's quips and how catty she is In the book! Mostly with how much she complains about being bored!
I do hope they age her back at some point. Genuinely over same body-type slim young heroines and heroes. Agatha was great as elderly woman, that she is.
ah yes that time Scarlet Witch went crazy after learning about her demon sons... years after she already learned about her demon sons & actually got to process her grief and move on. oh Bendis you really are the Ken Penders of Marvel & DC
I am not super into the being a villain thing, but morally dubious is cool. Give us some morally dubious women who can both be a little older and charismatically hot. I like the idea of by trope would be the villain in an older story, be the hag, but now may be flawed but not just stereotypicaly evil. Maybe just a little evil because she wants to cackle and make some people uncomfortable that wouldn't like a strong woman.
Oh no! Drake has a different opinion than people on the internet (the Steve Orlando, Sara Pachelli, Lorenzo Tammetta, and Jacopo Camagni run is good), whatever shall we do!!!
If she first appeared in FF I'm surprised she appeared in the MCU and isn't considered FF character. I know Disney bought Fox so irrelevant now but at time of Wandavision being made I wonder if it was a concern. Or maybe TV and Film rights different.
I'd agree with you about the new Scarlet Witch series.. If they didn't bring back Joseph just to kill him off again. Meanwhile in parallel to that, Magneto dies a heroic and meaningful death. Only to be resurrected for no reason whatsoever issues later. What could have been Joseph's legitimate time to shine was undermined *again.*
Here's hoping Agatha has some good writing for the Disney plus series. I enjoyed her in Wandavision but her sudden turnaround of wanting to steal Wanda's hex magic just made no sense to me when Agatha is usually Wanda's mentor.
I'm still just really confused on why they decided to make Agatha a villain, for Wandavision I mean it would make sense if there were hints to it that could be extrapolated but she seemed firm in the hero category.
It’s kinda sad that the comics have to keep up with the movies now, the movies at this point are just doing their own thing and the comics have to change. Also why is Marvel so against old ladies?
God is there just one comic book marvel/dc character that doesn’t have a complex history of twist and turns death and resurrection turned evil then good and some out still good looking despite being from the 60’s
man I'll be honest, i really don't like how she's tied into the salem witch trials- in the mcu and comics. those were real people, not witches, who were unjustly murdered in horrible ways. it's like having spider-man fight the IRA during the troubles in northern ireland (that's real by the way. web of spider-man #20)
Bro... it was hundreds of years ago. Jesus christ does everything have to be fictional now? Should magneto not be connected to the holocaust? Red Skull? The JSA with WW2?
Honestly surprised you didn't bring up the more controversial Northern Ireland connection that was originally going to be for Captain Britain before Alan Moore took over.
So basically the MCU and Marvel Comics hating any child that wasn't formed from a magical object had a big impact on Agatha's depiction. Or is that just what I got out of it?

Before this and the introduction from Wandavision, i thought she’s been a villain because of her name: Agatha Harkness; Agath-a-Harkness; Agent of Darkness.
But I guess it’s just me
While I do really like some of the stuff they've been doing with Agatha I'm really not too keen on her being more of a villain (morso anti-villain) now, as I've always seen her as a uniquely heroic character in her own right, but I do have some confidence that will see her and more heroic roles in the future (kind of akin to Scarlet witches back and forth)
It is worth noting that the Blade one shot of the Darkhold event does have a cameo of B-Negative from the unreleased New Warriors book
Love the mug. Still a little confused about which bits of Agatha's history were written before Wandavision and which ones were written after. I'm guessing anything where she looks young is written after Wandavision: is that right?
Everything about Valtor was after WandaVision.
@@ComicDrake Wow you actually responded. Thank you so much!😁
Jane Lapotaire is Agatha Harkness. 100% comics accurate. Casting her would have been an act of homage to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's original classic Agatha Harkness.
I thought there were not supposed to be ads in this guy's videos anymore?
Go to 2:53 of that announcement video.
Can you please do a review on the Empowered comics Zoemg comics and The Pedestrian comics.
Another great vid
If you ever see me in another comment section talking about, “I want to see Agatha with the fantastic four” blame this video
Congratulations on getting married, Comic Drake!
4:47 Oh gosh, they whitewashed the cat
I've been reading Scarlet Witch vol 1 of the 2016 series and been loving Agatha Harkness's quips and how catty she is In the book! Mostly with how much she complains about being bored!
I do hope they age her back at some point. Genuinely over same body-type slim young heroines and heroes. Agatha was great as elderly woman, that she is.
I don't know anything about the comics and some story elements of this is really something 😅
ah yes that time Scarlet Witch went crazy after learning about her demon sons... years after she already learned about her demon sons & actually got to process her grief and move on.
oh Bendis you really are the Ken Penders of Marvel & DC
I had a lot of fun watching Agatha All Along!
10:43 "Agatha HOTNESS" is so real 😭
I am not super into the being a villain thing, but morally dubious is cool. Give us some morally dubious women who can both be a little older and charismatically hot.
I like the idea of by trope would be the villain in an older story, be the hag, but now may be flawed but not just stereotypicaly evil. Maybe just a little evil because she wants to cackle and make some people uncomfortable that wouldn't like a strong woman.
Oh no! Drake has a different opinion than people on the internet (the Steve Orlando, Sara Pachelli, Lorenzo Tammetta, and Jacopo Camagni run is good), whatever shall we do!!!
getting a sponsor from morgan and morgan is wild lol
I am happy she’s getting to be a big part, but I still would’ve loved a more creative design. Alas
9:20 sure you are proud of this one
(this was the funniest bit of the entire video)
Great Video Drake!
I love Kathy as an actor, especially in the mcu, but I don’t think that Agatha was the right choice for her.
It’s kinda sad that the comics have to keep up with the movies now, the movies at this point are just doing their own thing and the comics have to change. Also why is Marvel so against old ladies?
Da comicbook king is back baby he neva miss we're eating good today y'all
God is there just one comic book marvel/dc character that doesn’t have a complex history of twist and turns death and resurrection turned evil then good and some out still good looking despite being from the 60’s
man I'll be honest, i really don't like how she's tied into the salem witch trials- in the mcu and comics. those were real people, not witches, who were unjustly murdered in horrible ways. it's like having spider-man fight the IRA during the troubles in northern ireland (that's real by the way. web of spider-man #20)
Yeah, I’m growing more divided on my opinion of the Skrulls for a similar reason, that being anti-Jewish propaganda.
@@luigiboi4244can I ask... how?
Bro... it was hundreds of years ago.
Yeah I mean, could you imagine someone like Magneto being tied into the holocaust or something? That would be crazy insensitive...
oh nice the agatha teen mystery box is @12:14
So basically the MCU and Marvel Comics hating any child that wasn't formed from a magical object had a big impact on Agatha's depiction. Or is that just what I got out of it?
I dig the fit looking great!
Steve Jobs looking tho

Personally not a fan of the MCU-fication of comics and especially Agatha. I understand the rogues gallery argument, but I don't think you can get more personal than Wanda and Chthon.
That’s pretty cool that folks are starting to take an interest in her.🐱
Bringing out the Ben Ravencroft fit to talk about a fictional witch🔥🥵🔥
Now let's hear that Tim Curry impression
