- The first major milestone in my Eagle Talon TSI AWD rebuild is officially complete! When I picked up this 1993 Talon, it had a blown first gear and a clutch that was completely toast. The car wasn’t drivable, so I never even got to test it out before tearing into it.
Since then, my buddy Jesse rebuilt the transmission, and I’ve replaced some key components, including a brand-new clutch and a rebuilt axle. After countless hours of wrenching, the drivetrain is finally back together, and now it’s time for the moment I’ve been waiting for-the first drive!
Will everything work as expected, or will DSM gremlins strike again? Join me as I take this turbo AWD beast down the road for the first time since buying it!

HEY COMMUNITY! What’s your most favorite car you’ve owned?!
Neat video!
Thank you. So much editing!😂
Wow! I can't believe you got the transmission back so fast. Awesome content keep it coming!
Transmission removal was in October. I have been waiting very patiently to upload and get a roll on.
@sedepautomotive I had to replace the transmission in my old truck after years of abuse by pissed off teenager 🙋🏼♂️ good thing I had a good retired auto transmission guy that knows the A500.
Most excellent! Great video and informative too! Love it
@@parkerlx2578 more feedback! Ha!
@ The most favorite car I ever owned was my S2000. Close second was one of the three DSMs…. Definitely the teal one. It was the only one that actually ran. Red one had potential, but I lose patience too easily with my own projects. Need more? Haha
bro i got that same milwaukee stick light XD
@@joycedelarosa9304 I love it. It took me years to find the hook on the back.
nice build bro!
@@joycedelarosa9304 thanks man. Still need to wash it!
bro i noticed at 11:07 your tire's "inside" side is on the outside lol
@@joycedelarosa9304 it gets even better. I pulled all four of them out of the back of a Les Schwab recycling tire truck. I really needed some wheels to roll the car around on and I had no 18 inch tires.
@ 😂😂😂😂😂 Hey man you gotta do what you gotta do
I've been wanting to get back into Mitsubishis. Hopefully, find myself another turbo Mirage/Colt. I'm sure someone has one around in either Colorado or Utah... historically speaking.
I’m sure if you posted on a Facebook group one would pop up for sure. There was something on utdsm last summer I swear.
