I've delt with small engines for years. I had a shop for about 11 years in the early 2000's. Never seen many Clintions. They always kinda reminded me of a Tecumseh/Kohler hybrid.
I have never seen timing marks on either the cam or crank.. usually you install the camshaft in the lock position. Than install the crank crank at the 12:00 position Due to the helicut gears it may take a few tries to rotate it into position.
