The punch was pretty cool!! “And Justice for All” was my first Metallica albums and Harvester of Sorrow” will be one of my standout all-time favorite songs ever!! The first time I heard it on cassette tape I was blown away! I remember thinking F*** Guns n Roses after hearing this song! Well this song and “Blackened”

when they stop the song and james spits before continuing at full power is insanely cool

And Justice for All was my introduction to Metallica and Jason Newsted is an absolute beast on the bass and one of the most passionate metallica members when it comes to performing live. I only learned about cliff burton afterwards when I checked out their back catalog so Jason has always been my favourite bassist and he doesn't get as much love as he deserves.

Cliff was 100 times better than Jason who is 100 tines better than most bassists today

Fun fact. Lars was banging away so hard during this show he cut his finger open. Google "Lars Ulrich bloody snare" and you can see a pic of the drum head afterwards. Say what you want about his drumming, but that's pretty damn metal!

It was so cool to see the Russian Army guys getting into the music and celebrating with the rest of the crowd after seeing them getting violent with the batons. They must have figured it out or something. This concert was just a frickin beastly performance by the GOATS OF THRASH METAL.🔥🔥🔥🔥

russian soldiers guarded 1,6 million people and didn't know was Heavy Metal is. They couldn't handle the aggressive tone of music, so they freaked out.

You must understand that Metallica played at a time when the situation with Russia was super critical in the cold war, the United States was practically a latent threat, and that a band from there comes to revolutionize the public in Russia, it was something terrifying for the military who They tried to impose order through violence...

The Soviet Union was still in the process of communism phasing out in 1991. So it was still pretty much a police state in some ways. This was the first time that there had been a rock concert from a western nation, so the military guys saw the release of energy as some sort of aggression. Brutality was the norm for that nation up to that time, it was pretty bad. The military guy was beating a camera with the billy stick because, for whatever reason, they didn't want it to be photographed. I'm around the same age as the guys in Metallica, so I clearly remember this.
