Old guy asking this question - how do young people learn about new music today? Is there anything, other than placement in the occasional film or tv series, that exposes them to classic songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s without them having to actively go in search of it?
Old guy here asking you the same question. How do you find new music these days? How did you find old music in your day. On the radio, on tv ect. I don't get your question and who cares
Not quite the youngster anymore myself, but social media, media as a whole and algorithms in apps as iTunes, Spotify etc would be my guess and is how I find old and new bangers.
I'm sorry, I don't know your names, so due to lack of options, in this comment I'll be referring to you as Girl and Boy... °Girl - It Must Have Been Love has been in quite a few movies, but the main one I can think of (which is also a big popular movie) is Pitch Perfect... Is that the movie you were thinking of? And in case you (or anyone) are curious, it's during the riff-off, sung by the stoner girl from the stoner group when she interrupts the Bellas. °Boy, Yeah, the kid in the grey top seems quite cool, he basically always wins the old music ones... Even when it's like 'Millenials VS Gen Z on 90's rock' or something like that, he usually knows most of them
I enjoyed this a lot! 😁 When you feel like reacting to another music themed video, I would love if you would do this one... I promise you're up for a surprise! You now I am 90s baby and to be honest if you try this with 70-80s music with a lot of us it will end the same. Some song are 10-15 years older plus time when they stared to listen the music that was 20 year old songs. So give them some slag 😅🙃
I went to watch the Beatles live. You think your old? Also went to watch Queen live at Wembley in 1985 for live aid. Fantastic. Watch it on RUclips, you won't regret. 👍
It's crazy the Offspring's gimmick from 1998 is still working for Canadian rappers, RUclips dweebs, and the iTunes charts to this literal very day. I guess it's probably the exact same audience paying for MP3s in 2024.
There were two music videos for Ironic, before it became a hit and after. Andi saw Offspring in the summer they became big, we had been listening it for a year since it was one of those oddballs that had #1 hit and their CDs were in the bargain bin at the same time.. It took about a year for the album to start selling. The gig is still one of the worst i've seen, they were out of tune, off tempo and not in pitch, also all at the same time. It felt like they had the biggest hangover and were just looking at their clocks of "when is this over".
You should know Faith No More: The best 90 band. The song Epic ist from the start of the 90th, so the end of 80th outfit matches... The guitarist in the video actually played in one of the Bill and Ted movies Cheers from Germany

Epic from Faith No More is 80s, 1989.

"I heard that Seal was pretty crazy..." No we're never gonna survive... unless... we get a little crazy.
the best was the 80s With Your the Voice
I was born in 1998 I promise a lot of us aren't this bad
The movie from the Roxette video was Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. I think it was her second big film.
It was a simpler time, MTV was a channel for music videos instead of crap like Jersey Shore... God I´m old 😂😂
I went to watch the Beatles live. You think your old? Also went to watch Queen live at Wembley in 1985 for live aid. Fantastic. Watch it on RUclips, you won't regret. 👍
@rubberyowen1469 hehe.. Okey, you have me beat by a couple of years 😁
I'm gonna watch that, thanks 😄
@@rubberyowen1469 I have just watch and you were right I don´t regret it.. Man I wish I was their back in the day. 😁
@@Deadwoods84 Freddie was brilliant and the atmosphere was phenomenal. A great day. Take Care. 👍

They still missed the best song.....
Chumbawamba - Tubthumping !
Faith no more actually did a song on one of the bill and ted films
Oh I feel SO old. ty was fun still
I was born in 1998 and I didn't know a single song. But I am not American, maybe these songs weren't that popular in other countries
Probably!
I'm born 92 and from Europe, know all of them
@@blackcrow4218 I am from Asia, so maybe not popular over here
@@smoonchild9401 Ok that explains why
All of these were very popular in Sweden, except Seal, personally never heard that one.

You can tell your wife to go back to bed. I need sentences to be completed. And reactors have an energy level that matches the material.
