In my opinion, the location is the biggest con of Wendell and the other small towns east of Raleigh. I feel like a lot of the drive times you gave were underestimated and also didn't account for the serious traffic that constantly plagues the triangle. It takes 15 minutes just to get to the east side of 40 from Wendell with no traffic on 87, but when traffic starts to get heavy it really adds to the commute. The biggest part of the location being a con is really that it puts the majority of the triangle further away, putting most of Raleigh as at least a 30 minute drive, Cary 45 minutes, and almost everything in Durham and Chapel Hill at least an hour away.

Trader Joe’s is about 20 minutes away. We have our fingers crossed for one in Wendell Falls 🫰
