    You just earned another sub with this video. I just got off the phone with my Ford dealership trying to get them to shut off the auto stop feature and they said it was impossible to do so. Can't stand that feature but with your video I'm purchasing that device and will install it as soon as it arrives. Thanks for the info! Now to look through the rest of your videos to find some more usable life hacks.

    That's a really nice solution. I disabled auto start/stop for my 2018 F150 via FORScan which also can do other things I wanted to do. Other options for eliminating it are more expensive, make the truck think it's towing and/or you have to open your dash. Wish it could also remember the preset mode select...there's an option for that through the aftermarket but it doesn't work with remote start. It's soo dumb that Ford doesn't allow the truck to stay in the drive setting you left the truck at.

      Probably the Climate Change Cultists' doing. It's stupid but I've just gotten in the habit of doing it before I buckle my seat belt.

    Thanks for the info in this video. The main thing i was always concerned about is the car not starting right away and the person behind you rear ends your car (when your brake light goes off) because of the 2 second delay on take off. Thanks again for the info

    Isnt it dangerous to keep devices plugged in to the OBDII port for long periods of time?

    • @42luke93
      @42luke93 8 месяцев назад

      Sounds like it would be since manufacturers don’t intend that. I know insurance companies have that obd 2 port thing to save money on insurance for safe driving so maybe it’s fine if they do that.

    Hi. On the 2019 Ford Escape, is there a method of adjusting the brake pedal pressure needed on the autostart? In other words, with slightest amount of less pressure on the brake pedal, the car starts. I want to be able to move my foot a little more without the auto start kicking on the engine.

    Mine stopped working after the battery was replaced. The auto stop/start light comes on when I have the brakes on and goes off when I press the gas. I don't want to mess anything up.

    The auto-start requires a more expensive AGM battery. Can a standard lead-acid battery be used if auto-start is disabled?

    • @Cheepchipsable
      @Cheepchipsable Год назад

      Doubtful. Modern cars draw more power, even when turned off and an AGM is designed for that kind of power draw. Lead Acid batteries don't like to be depleted too much as this can caus them to degrade faster.

    if its the same as a ford kuga then just unplug the wire next to the top of the car battery nearest the middle of the car....stop start disabled with no worries..job done and costs zero.

      Due to the government. They probably base their city fuel economy using start stop.

    • @Cheepchipsable
      @Cheepchipsable Год назад

      It's a way to lower fuel usage as a selling point. No one really needs it, and I don't think too many people would turn it on.

    With this installed does it still allow the BMS to still do what it's designed to do?
    All I want to do is get rid of the auto start/stop. Which by the way is got to be the dumbest engineer design ever conceived!

    Just turn it off at two separate spots. There’s always someone trying to sell people things they don’t need. This feature was put in place by law in an attempt to help reduce emissions and therefore help save the planet we are destroying.

      @@interdimensionalsteve8172 I totally agree, I mean I felt my 2018 Ford escape's steering wheel lock up for a split second like it does when it's auto stopped but I was on the highway going 80mph like I got very scared for a split second till it released again cause I was on a long turn while it happened! Stupidest useless feature ever!

    Or just wait until your battery life depletes 🪫 and the system disables it automatically. But do not reset system once you change it back to a healthy car battery 🔋
