Wes Borland, the guitarist of Limp Bizkit, has a very creative style, going from the cleanest of cleans to the heaviest of heavy. This video focuses on some of those extremely clean, delay filled riffs that he seems to love so much. This list is not trying to match tones or delay settings, it's simply about the riffs.
I created all of the backing tracks, if anyone was interested to know.

Wes is still one of my favorite guitarists from the whole Nu Metal era. He was one of the guitarists that inspired me to pick up the guitar in first place. His transitions from clean to heavy groovy riffs are so incredible. Limp Bizkit was my favorite band ever in my early teen years. Although I don`t love them as much as I used to, the "Chocolate Starfish..." album will always have a special place in my heart❤. And I still think that Limp Bizkit is getting WAAAAY too much hate😒

Did he ever claimed to be? What if Clapton, Van Halen and Slash's music is boring, and Borland, Stephen Carpenter and Adam Jones' riffs are more interesting somehow? BTW, I've seen a lot of discussions about Slash's technique on reddit and elsewhere

@@AlexanDrMoskalenko Clapton shouldn’t even be on a list in my opinion. What did he do in terms of guitar technique or innovation that people still use today other than covering a Clapton song? Great guitarist sure, and good songwriter when he actually wrote the song. Slash isn’t all that important either really. And GnR and Clapton is boring to me. Not like Hendrix, and Van Halen, who without them who knows where we would be in terms of technical and innovative playing. They set standards that people in all genres of music that people still use to this day. Adam jones, Stephen carpenter, head and munky, and Wes Borland gave us sounds and tones that while they are simple in terms of technique, are still some of the most difficult to recreate. But it’s all in your own taste I guess. I’m a huge Pantera fan, and loved all of dime’s tones through the years, yet a lot of people think his tone was pure shit.

I agree. I think I used the same setting for most of these to be honest, however, this was just about the riffs. I may dive into dialing in all of the Wes sounds in a future video. I appreciate the feedback. 🤘
