Appreciate the video I’m just kicking the tires on the bike packing thing. I’m actually new to riding period I’ve got a pretty good mountain bike and have been building up my rides I’ve only gone over 20 miles twice but it felt good. I’m thinking of doing a three day 100 mile loop or something like that soon. I’m still getting my bike ready with heat but I’m excited to get started before the heat gets to be too much. I’m out of Dallas TX.
Love my 600X! Looks like you have a solid system for bikepacking. At the moment, I still prefer a rack and lightweight panniers, but part of the fun is trying out new configurations.
No food or cooking gear, no rain or wind layers, no toilet paper? What about a dropper post, that has been a game changer for all of my riding. Thanks for the 411!
@@MikeBee-rk2sm hi Mike, I don’t actually bring any cooking stuff. I just eat stuff I can carry and buy multiple things when I hit restaurants. For rain layers, I do carry an REI rain shell I did not include in this video. I use wet wipes for toilet paper. They also can be used to clean yourself in the evening. For a dropper post, I don’t have one yet! Can’t wait to get one someday though.
Hi thank you for watching! I wear a backpack for a few reasons 1. Takes weight off the bike which makes hike-a-bikes easier 2. Makes drinking water very easy (since it has a 4L pouch) 3. Allows me to carry some of my more valuable equipment (drone, cameras etc) with me when I go into stores

Awesome! There is a 100 mile route out of Lockhart that should be a pretty good beginner ride. I think it’s called the Texas BBQ Overnighter
Great summary of your set up!!! Looks solid...thx for sharing!!!
Thank you for watching Chris!
This was greatly informative. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks
Thank you for watching !
Extremely well done.
Thank you!

Thanks! I think panniers are great they just allow me to carry too much weight so my bike ends up too heavy
Definitely Ryan Van Duzer inspired, I’ll subscribe to see your future content
Thank you!!

Loved this!!!
Where do you keep the Arizona can?
😉
Wondered why you deal with a backpack instead of putting a rack on the back that would hold it?
