I've owned a 6 Quart Staub shallow round cocotte in sapphire blue for 10+ years and love it! Just ordered my sister a matte black 7 quart for XMAS (matte black was her favorite color).
Goodness! What a collection. I love your videos. I am going to get red one with glass lid this year. If these ever go on sale again l will purchase more.
Dear Shana, Thank you! The one with the glass lid is on sale right now on the website. For the regular lid, I see some department store website is selling for $129. Definitely go look around for some deal! 😊 Thanks for watching!
That’s quite the collection! I adore my Staubs. Four pieces so far. I’m English, so I’m not really familiar with this quart business. I have a 28cm braiser, a 30cm grill pan, a 31cm oval cocotte and I’ve just ordered a 37cm oval cocotte. All in Cherry Red. I love red! Such fantastic cookware. Love my Staubs so much. I’ve been wanting to buy Staubs for my stepdaughters for a while now. Problem is, they’ve less finesse than a drunken rhino and that’s putting me off somewhat. Regardless - Merry Christmas to you people across the pond, it’s been a rough couple of years. Stay safe and happy Staubing!
The basil color is amazing. But really all the colors are beautiful. I just bought a 5qt tall from Williams-Sonoma in La Mer, though wish it had been available in basil. I still love the pot, though, and can't wait to use it!
I just bought my first staub which is gohan in graphite, and I've been thinking of buying a cocotte but still can not decide which color, graphite or white truffle. I love the rustic vintage looks ❤️ thank you for your comparison video! 👍
Hi Terry, it really depends on how deep you want your Cocotte. I really enjoyed my 24cm 4qt because it is deeper than the French oven style. However, I remember loving that kind of pot for another brand years ago. One benefit to the French oven is that it has a larger surface in the bottom.
Really struggling to decide between the Basil and the Graphite… I think the basil is one of the most stunning colors I’ve ever seen, but I also like the rustic look of the Graphite!
I’m not a fan of the new glass lids for the 4qt cocottes. This is usually someone’s first Staub, and I think the glass lid compared to the heavier cast iron lid with the basting spikes will not perform as well.
One benefit of a glass lid is that it would allow a wireless thermometer probe to be used. The iron lids (or stainless fwiw) totally block the signal :-(
@@chsulie I’ve been looking for glass lids for my 4 and 5.5 qts. I did recently find a glass lid for the 7qt and 6qt wide, but I’ve yet to use it. I REALLY do not need to buy any more pots haha so I think I’ll skip the the black Friday deal this year
It’s prob cheaper to produce it w glass. The 4 qt has always been the entry/access piece to the Staub line. I got my 4qt on their famous $99 deal that used to happen 2-3 times a year. I imagine w recent inflation they had to find a way to lower costs, and even w that it’s still $30 more.
The blue color is indeed gorgeous!!!! The pineapple knob is actually not too cumbersome. Perhaps because I have the lid stand so it is not bad at all. Thanks for watching!😊
As a Le Creuset owner I like the Burnt Orange color the most lol. (I do not like the rabbit knob though) The Gray pops a lot on camera! I really like Grenadine in pics but on video it doesn't look so good. I thought the Basil would look bad but actually it looks quite good on camera. It would be nice to see where you keep all your Staub pieces. They sure are a lot! lol
Thanks for sharing your thought with us here. I never had thought I would purchase the Basil color until I had seen it in person. I was kind of blow away by the color when I had saw it for the very first time. But you are totally correct in terms of your observation. The color that is captured by camera vs photos are very different. I store most of my Staub pieces in their original boxes down in my basement. I have two dedicated shelving units. It is crazy I tell you. Thanks for watching! 😊
@@chsulie Thanks for replying! I probably sounded a bit mean. The colors you have are nice, it is a matter of personal preference. I haven't seen a Staub in real life unfortunately. I live in Bulgaria and I order all my pieces online from different EU countries. Videos like yours are really helpful! And some colors just look better on camera. Maybe some others look better in person. I just can't imagine keeping my Le Creusets covered in the basement. I would love to see them even when I am not cooking with them. But in your case you have sooo many Staubs What does your wife think of your Staub collecting? Or does she just enjoy your good cooking?

Thank you for sharing your love for Staub as well!!! I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! 🎄 stay safe! As always thanks for watching!

Congrats!!!! Actually La Mer is my favorite color haha 😂
Fun!
Staub is my favorite also!

I would love to have the 13.25qz and the 9qz both in wife's boring colours. Thanks for the unboxings.
Will you recommend the 24cm 3.75Qt French Oven over the 24cm 4Qt Cocotte ?
Hi Terry, it really depends on how deep you want your Cocotte. I really enjoyed my 24cm 4qt because it is deeper than the French oven style. However, I remember loving that kind of pot for another brand years ago. One benefit to the French oven is that it has a larger surface in the bottom.
Great haul! I have the cocotte 4 Qt with a glass lid and I think I will get the 5 QT tall cocotte….
Good choice! You will enjoy the 5 QT tall cocotte!!! Thanks for watching! 😊
Love your colecction ♥️💕
Thank you!!!
Really struggling to decide between the Basil and the Graphite… I think the basil is one of the most stunning colors I’ve ever seen, but I also like the rustic look of the Graphite!
I got my very first Cocotte in Graphite. So I vote Graphite 😂
Basil is stunning! If you want compliments from your guests I would choose that one to be honest.
Thanks for your videos and discount code! I just went with a 28 round cocotte in Grenadine. . . can't wait!
You are so welcome!!!!😊 I love to hear your thoughts after using your new Staub Cocotte!

Great points!!!! Would you consider getting one with the glass lid?
Thanks for watching! 😊
Hi Curtis! You are absolutely right! I would be concern with the performance with the glass lid. Thanks for watching! 😊

That ocean blue color is beautiful! Though, I imagine the pineapple knob might be a bit cumbersome, although pretty.

What Zwilling outlet do you go to? I am near one in Livermore CA.
I'm on the East Coast, we are opposite side... 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching!

Can you please do a video on the two largest sizes available? The 13.25 and the 9 quart
