Wow that was so easy. My dealership charges me over $100 for this and I bought a filter of Amazon for $7!! Literally took me less than 2 minutes and now that I know how to do it it’ll take me 30 seconds in the future! Thank you!!!
That's awesome to hear Alex!!!
I appreciate the dealership looking after my car but overcharging for simple things like this really frustrates me...
Thank you! I just purchased my fliter for $21 and it had taken me 5mins to change out because I kept stopping and replaying your video. Lol
Glad it worked for you! :)
Thank you! A mechanic wanted to charge me $50 and I went and spent $8 on Amazon and replaced it myself. Thank you!!
Glad I could help
Glad that I refuse the dealer suggestion and save $170.
Good stuff bro!
This was a very well done video and easy to follow. Changed my cabin filter on my 09 Accord in 5 minutes and saved a bunch. Thanks
He nailed it. I found this out a few yrs ago. Took vehicle in for something. Dlr recommended cabin air filter needed to be changed. Okay, fine. When they told me $82.00. I was likeI'll wait. I went to my local auto zone, purchased the filter for ready $18 and went to my mechanic. He indicated "you know you can do this right?" he guided me through without any charge and B A M! less than 2/3 minutes. Trust! from that moment on. I've been changing my own for yrs.....
holy cow... $82....
Thank you! I changed it myself and couldn't be more pleased with your clear video instructions.
Thank you dealer wanted to charge me $70.00 to replace.
Glad it worked for you!
Thank you! My manual doesn’t document how to change my cabin air filter. I can’t wait to do this myself!
Thanks for sharing your tip Happi Fix. I'll do what you did, go down to my autoparts store , buy a cabin filter and install it myself. You're a legend!
I didn't realize it was so simple! You save SO much money by replacing the engine and cabin filters yourself and getting them from an auto parts shop.
Thanks for being so thorough! I watched a few other videos on this but just couldn’t figure out how to undo the latch 😂
Thank you boss saved $50 thank you for clear instructions 🙏🙏
Not all heroes wear capes. I saved $100 by watching your video. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much. Looked easy. Tried it. It worked! Saved some money.
this worked for my 2011 accord. i bought the fancier version of the STP airfilter he shows in the video (CAF1781 vs CAF1781M) which has activated charcoal & anti bacterial mesh. It's worth the extra $6-7 if you do a lot of driving
Too easy! The dealer wants $75 to do this. Took me 5 minutes! Thanks.
Love reading these messages!!
Thank you for your quick helpful video! I appreciate your time!
Thank you 🙏🏻! You are saving me a lot of money!
Is there any other air entrance where polen and air can get in to the air conditioning?
Thank you so much! This is helpful!
Very helpful video. Thanks
Do you think that could be a reason for an ac not blowing cold air
Most informative video great presentation.
Thank you. You explained everything so well
Thanks for watching and the kind comment Keisha! Hope it worked for you!!!
Thank You for this video!!! You make it easy to follow
Thanks a lot for watching! Really appreciate it!
Please mention that the side clips need to be pushed IN, before the filter will come out. This compares to many clips which need to be pushed out. Thank you for posting!
I didn't even realize that this filter existed lol after this I pulled mine out and it had a whole tree growing in there. So I replaced it with a new that I dripped some bath and bodywork car freshener on to and it blows stronger and smells great
LOL BOBBY haha love your comment haha
THAT was easy! 😎..thanks for the tutorial!
glad it worked Ronique! :)
Beautiful explanation
Thanks! Easy job.
But how do you reconnect the latch on the left side?
Thank you for your video is useful
Very good demonstration, thank you
Thanks for watching
in the 2015 there is a panel over the end of the filter element that also needs removal, but the clips at each end to release the panel are obvious. Thanks! And I found the element on eBay for $7.
That's good to know, I'll let my brother know, he drives a honda now. :)

Made in China for sure. No thanks. I'd pay $20 before I'd help out China.
Wish my 98 accord air filter was this easy.
Very helpful thank you soooo much!
Glad it helped Jasmyn. I like how your name is spelled ☺️
thanks, men. I have a Honda accord, can you show me how to add brake fluids oil.!!!!??
I wish i could but I sold the car unfortunately 😔
Thank you for sharing
The dealer service guy changed mine one time in the parking lot, while I watched. I was shocked that I paid $50. Today, I got the part for $22, and did it myself in less than a minute.
I'm surprised that the Accord manual doesn't cover this. I just bought a used 2008 Honda Accord LX-P, and the owner's manual says to "take your car to the dealer to have the dust & pollen filter changed."
Uh, no thanks.
@@nottelling4828 I saw that for my 2011 Accord, yet it shows how to change the oil - a much more involved procedure.
Cool! Thanks Happi Fix.
Thanks for posting!
u bery bery much good man
Good video Happi
The tuners places only showed me the cabin the dirty stuff and I took it with both to get handled. Engine and cabin
Thanks man
Thanks for the video!!
I hope you enjoyed it :)
I bought aftermarket filter, the filter says airflow up, the car says downward. What is the right way to put it.
Follow the arrows on the filter.
When you take it out your previous filter, check which side is dirty, that will indicate airflow.
Thank you !
Super easy, thanks!
Glad it helped!
Thank you, save me $100. This work same for 2018. TY TY
Lol thx for watching and commenting homie!
GREAT UP LOAD.. AND EZ
My dealership wanted $84.00 to replace the cabin air filter on my Accord. I declined and went the autozone route as well.
Lol... $84.... Rip off.. did the replacement go well?
Yes, it was a easy and saved me a ton of money.
Thank you, my dealer wanted ONLY $49.95.
NOT BAD
Thank you
Is expensive im waltmart or Amazon is $7
Thanks for your help!
Did you replaced yours, Emma?
Thanks. Now I am going to donate some money to those in need because of you.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Np!
thank you
I just got mine replaced but it's making a kinda annoying humming sound and idk why
I’d remove it and check the inside to make sure there isn’t any loose debri
Thank you! 😀
Did you replace yours? 🤣
Thanks Mate!

Thank you so much!!!!
Did you installed it yourself, Emily?
Yes i did
Forgot to reconnect the little air spring on the side which controls the speed of the glove box when opening.
Good catch!! 🙃
is Cabin Air Filter and Aircon Filter is the same thing ?
Yes, yes it is.
:)
I got the engine and cabin filter exchanged with less then 25 dollars
you really dressed up for this mechanics job lol
Haha shot it right after I got done with work. Fed up with dealership over charging
I got it for less than $10 off of amazon, the most I've been quoted to replace it has been $30 or so for my 2013 accord
hopefully you replaced it yourself and saved $20! :)
🙏🏾
why are we praying :D
Thank you they were try to chqrge me 59.00..got my at Amazon for 8.00
Were you able to swap it Vanessa?
@@HappiFix a million thanks
@@vanessarivera6886 :) :) :)
So ture about the dealership
I just got two in last week from dooxi.com !
You get a like for working on your car all dressed up
they wanted to charge me $40 to install it at meineke. They told me is tricky to find it and install it properly..
Did you end up doing it yourself? 🙃
You can save even more by purchasing one on Amazon(ahead of time) and you'll pay less than the dealer or auto parts store.
Yea that's definitely true
Note to poster: It's not a 'cabinet' filter, it's CABIN. And it's not a 'pulley' that holds the glove box door.
A part of me died today reading this :(
@@HappiFix me laugh
This following video for a Toyota Camry says the air flow arrow should point UP, not down! Both Honda & Toyota are Japanese brands. Why the difference? ruclips.net/video/cyb-dTv1xxk/видео.html
You paid too much they’re cheaper in Wal- Mart , but good video
this vid was a LOOONG time ago, if they're less at walmart now, then I definitely over paid. thx haha
This is NOT how it's done with the 2002 Accord. It's much more complicated than this and you have to remove at least 7 screws.
Why does the dealership charge so much for something so simple
Asked no one ever.
Because they can...
Very informative, thanks. Guess those 16 thumbs down are stuck on stupid.
It's not a cabinet air filter, it's a CABIN air filter.
Cool beans
You didn't close the cabinet haha
Lol so mean 😂
That is not how it is in a 2002 accord. False advertising.
This is not an advertisement.
if you drive so much and replace twice a year get the "K&N Engine Air Filter: High Performance, Premium, Washable". Its one time buy, you just clean it and my friend mechanic told me to spray it with WD40 to have grease that will let stuff attach better. It will cost you 70-90$ for both filters for life.
For 4 dollars
fo dolla?
My dealer wants 120$ to do that. I said No thanks
$100.00 at my dealer.
Don't do it!!! Don't be that guy!!! 😉
at 17 dollars is too much
Homie!!? Commmmon haha
there are wholesale parts stores. . got one for 6.99
I paid 7 dollars on ebay
Did you installed it yourself too?
@@HappiFix yes super easy great job by the engineers easiest one I've changed by far no tools.needed
Good ass place to hide bud
Yeah maybe if you want the smell of that bud blowing through your entire HVAC system hahaha
Or walmart smh
true
Cabin NOT Cabinet
Thanks for watching!
I make these
