Phil hates BG3 because it hurt his ego, yet it made him the most money of any game recently. He was so sure it wouldn't be GOTY, he put everything behind Starfield, ignored requests to play it for MONTHS, even going so far as to crap on people suggesting it in the first suggestion box. Then, when it won GOTY, he STILL wasn't gonna play it. A dent donated it to him, and said dent was probably supporting him the ENTIRE playthrough.
But the biggest thing is BG3 made him look like an idiot, and he hates when he's caught in 4k looking idiotic more than anything.
I mean, BG3 is just a shitty game so I don't blame him for hating it. Everybody says they like it on the internet but no one is actually playing it. It's all hype and no fun.

Phil loves to go on unhinged rants about people's perceived mistakes and problems, but most of the time he just describes himself.
"Baldur's Gate carried this stream. Like a Dragon killed it." That viewer is 100% right and the reason Phil exploded at him is simple. Like a Dragon is a game that supported Phil's narrative of victimhood and the messaging was what he wanted to hear. BG3 is a game where he said that it won't make GOTY, but did, which bruised his ego and wasn't what he wanted to hear.
It's never been about facts to Phil, it's all about emotions, agenda, bravado and ego.

Agreed he got emotionally invested in like a dragon/used it to relate back tohimself for pity and saying it failed means the 'message' he wanted to convey wasn't seen. Also I think he just kinda likes the Like a dragon series.
BG3 embarassed him at every turn. It did't die off like he said. It remained popular, people kept wanting him to play it, then it won GOTY, then it madehim look like an idiot every single day all the way to the end. No wonder he wants to claim the narrative that like a dragon succeeded when it clearly didn't, but BG3 killed the channel despite making more money and viewers even as the game went on longer.
As much as I dislike DSP I have to agree with him that BG3 is a piece of shit game that is all hype and only liked by people who haven't played it.

It's amazing; I've been trawling old dsp detractor videos and found the same situation that balders gate and like a dragon are put in with brink and motorstorm; he was saying the same thing back then, but instead of "ban", he would "block" you. And people were calling him out in his comments for that too!

The difference between Like a Dragon and Baldur's Gate is that Phil actually wanted to play Like a Dragon.

That Excel comment is a really good point. For any detractors looking to brush up on skills for future job opportunities, knowing Excel is actually huge for a large variety of jobs, especially accounting and data analytics. I'm currently using my Excel skills to chart better testing results than what gets generated by my testing software.
Doody and Piece Of Piece using Excel to track and graph Phil's business expenses gives them a skill they can use in real life. Which is a lot more useful than Phil thinks lmao.

Just out of curiosity I went to DSP channel to see the amount of views that he gets and my God the first thing that I see is that he is STILL uploading parts in the wrong order (the last three Elder Ring videos are uploaded as 46-45-44, Helldivers II as 6-5-4 and Alone in the Dark 11-12-10). Didn't he said that he still baby sit his uploads? 😂
Yes but "because youtube is stupid and doesn't understand there own site" they upload whatever gets done transmitting data first which is typically the smallest file. Meaning it uploads based off file size and that could be any order

14:55 Yes, there has been detractors that have recorded every tip and superchat before along with an estimate for ad revenue using their own channel to compare, and yes they do calculate what RUclips takes for their cut along with the PayPal fees as well. Of course, there is no way to tell which tips were charged back, but that is Phil's problem due to his scummy behavior.
Phil really does think he's the smartest person on RUclips when it comes to this stuff, but these detractors are clearly way smarter than him, and all Phil is trying to do is convince his dents that they are not along with trying to hide how much he really makes from them.
Seriously I believe that at least half the dents that give him money would stop if Phil was 100% transparent with his finances.

Like a Dragon one of the least supported game EVER. Made Phil look like an idiot to his own chat and had him explode on them in one of worst recent freak outs. Like this one and with his "Just like me FR FR" moments. Which is why he likes the game, he got attached to the games.
He has a massive hard on for the the Like a Dragon series. No disrespect but they've never done that well on his channel and he always complains about a lack of support for them. That might be why he even thought of the "Co-op" streams with Kat. To save the game.
