      The Celebrity Cleric.
The he is fueled by the power of the Believers in him. Like a Charismatic cult leader. As his followers grow he becomes more powerful.
Much like the Pope Balmus from the anime The Rising of the Shield Hero. He fueled his high magic by the prays and energy of his faithful followers.
The more people believe in him the more power he has.

my favourite cleric I played was Brother Danuvan, a war domain Cleric, who didn't worship a god of war, but the concept of war and violence. He believed that only through such hardships one can be made stronger.
the best manifestation of it was casting healing spells by literally kicking a dying alley and tell him. "Get up, we still have a fight to win." and that magically curing them.

You know, a while back I had an idea for a post-apocalyptic game that had kind of the four classes, but the Cleric role was filled by a chemist class. Like, in that world, the knowledge of chemistry was so important that those who knew it were basically regarded as holy people. I'd totally forgotten about that until just now.

awesome video yet again, so many builds come to mine
The Ordner- obviously goliath race, with either the peace or order domain cleric with rune knight multiclass, and this cleric perhaps solves the issues between various giant clans or between the local authority who has a giant problem
The Myth- something elven (half, wood, eladrin come to mind) definitely knowledge or twilight domain, the idea of the lone traveller who tells stories around the campfire hoping to come across a reference to a forgotten religion or lost god (big ranger dip)
The Probed- good way to introduce warforged or perhaps Simic hybrids in-game (like they are a mixture of alien and humanoid DNA) war domain all the way
The Pilgrim- genasi nature cleric, but I like war cleric for this one as well
The Tuning Fork tempest cleric with a horizon walker/ oath of the watcher dip (but honestly we need a planar cleric)
The Starchild- cool way to introduce any of the astral races, namely the astral elves or even aasimar (maybe the fallen subrace)
The Frequency- light domain cleric makes sense but the idea of someone experimenting with arcane frequency could be a cool arcana domain
The Necromancer- now death domain should make sense but grave cleric also works, shadar-kai elves for spooky cleric

Just like vanilla clerics parallel warlocks we can blur the line between cleric and druid with the Augur Cleric. Wisdom, the cleric spellcasting ability, is associated with perception so perhaps pur cleric draws power (either literally or seemingly) from watching the signs in the world around them.

Intro :- Idk why but I have no idea why I love the intro so much
    Ordner :-
Honestly I like the idea of how it is not based on Gods, but more so on Giants.
This is giving me an idea of making a cleric that tapped into the power of Ymir from Norse mythology.
    Cultist :-
Huh.... This is giving warlock vibes and I van see this being used to go for the celestial warlock subclass. I do like the idea though!
Idea :- Cleric who worships Shaokhan or is manipulated by Shaokhan to worship him and is now trying to get followers to make Shaokhan to reach power and God-hood.
    Myth :-
I like this and I'm thinking of Cleric that has faith based on Baba yaga or Loki.
    The Probed :-
    Interesting....
    Heal bot :-
AHHHH I LOVE THIS, IT IS GIVING ME THE IDEA OF AN ARTIFICER USING CUTE HEAL BOTS TO HEAL!!!!
    The Pilgrim :-
This is giving mount targon from league of legends
    The tuning fork :-
I like this idea, not because of it's flavour, but more so because it allows a baked in solution for players who miss out!
    The star child :-
Idea :- Person was raised by Pegasus who then died in the physical realm and became a constellation in the night sky in a spiritual sense.
    The frequency :-
I like the idea very much... Weirdly reminds me of Zenyata from Overwatch.
    Necromancer :-
Necromancy is a very fun flavour to play around with! And I absolutely agree with the idea that the dm after discussing should allow the player to turn something else other than undead
Overall I loved the video!!! Perfect quality as usual!

Glad you added aliens and artificer, came here to say that a lot of cleric abilities can easily emulate cyborg tech. I used the priest npc statblock to that effect as a DM and it was nice!
Also the bard college of creation isn’t everything I wanted it to be so I want to rework the forge domain to be like the domain of creation. Like an eldar bonesinger in 40k, a music based cleric that channels the song of creation to heal wounds, repair and create objects, then even create buildings and constructs. Sounds very fun!
Alsoalso when you were on the frequency idea, you mentioned sound waves as if they were on the light spectrum. I might not be the first in the comments but just wanted to point out sound is a separate spectrum 😅 cool vid tho, dude!

You have so many awesome flavoring ideas. Here are some more Cleric Ideas.
I am not going to post Alchemist every time. However, every single class in D&D could be flavored as a type of alchemy. That could be a cool premise for a video. Seriously all 13 official classes plus Blood Hunter can be flavored as a type of alchemist.
The Charlatan: You have a secret. You can't do magic. You have met a few Paladins in your time and you learned something. Their belief and devotion to a set of ideas are the roots of their magic. You don't cast any spells, rather you utter jibberish and fool others into thinking you can do magic. If the target is fooled, they will end up receiving the effects of a spell. You can even use so-called "Holy Water" as your placebo. If the target believes they are cursed they will receive the effects of a damage-dealing or offensive spell. If the target believes they have been blessed they will receive the effects of a healing or buffing spell. The only downside is if the target does not believe that you can do magic, then they won't receive the effects. You do not cast the spell, the target unwittingly casts the spell for you. This will backfire if party members figure out your secret. Also, you can't "cast" spells on yourself since you know you can't do magic. If the Game Master lets you use Charisma instead of Wisdom for spell casting, that would be EPIC! If not, no worries.
The Embodiment: You are the embodiment of whatever subclass you choose for the Cleric. As a Life Domain Cleric you are the embodiment of healing and preserving life. As Death you are the Embodiment of bringing about death. You get the idea. However, there is a twist. You can only cast spells that fit this Domain. With this restriction, you need to choose your Domain very carefully, since this is all you'll be able to do for the entire campaign. What reason are you the embodiment of this Domain? Are you of a race dedicated to the Domain? Are you more like a Sorcerer whose power comes from a bloodline? Are you a Wizard who studied one specific type of magic to the exclusion of others? Are you more of a Warlock who made a pact with a being associated with the Domain? Whatever the explanation, your spell casting is limited to the Domain.
The Fan: There is a fellow Cleric in your party and you worship them. Your faith in them fuels your magic. This could open the door to some very strange roleplay opportunities.
The Hated: What if your Cleric did not feed on praise and devotion to a deity? What if you fed on the negative energy of those who hate you. The more despised you become the more your power grows. Maybe you're a misunderstood good person, a morally grey anti-hero, or a straight-up villain. Perhaps you are a tragic character who needs to feed on people's hatred or otherwise you'll perish. All of your spells revolve around sending the hate back. So no healing or buffing spells. It is all about harming.
The Narcissist: (Inspired by a Cleric Corner concept for a Sorcerer). In the Distant Future, you became so powerful that you became a Deity in your own right. How did this happen? Well, your future self guided your younger self on a spiritual journey of Ummm, Self Worship. Narcissism and time travel paradoxes ensue. A great idea for a player who loves themselves a little too much.

      @chancehanlin2747 3 месяца назад

If I could add onto this:
The Demigod: For this one, you might need some levels in the Divine Soul Sorcerer, but the premise is that you are the child of a mortal & a god/goddess. Whether you know who your divine parent is or not or are completely unaware of the fact that one of your parents is a God/Goddess, you seem to have natural powers that align with their domains.
(A better example of this would be in the Scion series.)

A long time ago I came up with a Dwarf who went insane after experiences with Beholders and became a Cleric of the Great Mother - the Lovecraftian God of Beholders. I gave the cleric Aberration as a domain and the granted power of that domain let the cleric's mouth become a giant maw capable of swallowing whole living creatures of a certain size.

Love your idea of the Probed. I have a similar one I call the Abducted which is a re-skin of the Undead Warlock. Your eldritch blast is a hand cannon that is a part of the experimental tech that the aliens installed in you during your abduction. Your Form of Dread is a transformation your body undergoes as a result of this as well. Your Spirit Projection? Holograms. Grave touched lets you no longer need to eat drink or breathe, thats because your dark matter battery is giving you your energy now. What is your pact with the aliens? They utilize you to monitor and learn about the humanoid races of the realm. If they need to compel you to do something, they can hack the tech they installed to remote control you to do their bidding.

A cleric based on the idea of 'true justice'. True justice should be blind and can't be persuaded (charmed) or discouraged (fear). It also can't be lied to (an aura that reads alignment).
Strangely when I built the subclass, it switches between 'true justice' and 'order' (if enemy with adavantage or ally with disadvantage then neutralized; becomes if enemy with advantage or ally with disadvantage becomes opposite)

Hey Cleric, you probably know I got a few for you:
The Fiend worshiper: Who says a cleric has to follow a good creature? Much like your concept of the cult cleric, this cleric is one that worships one of the bigger evils, The Devil Princes, The Demon Lords, and all of their derivatives. In a normal campaign these are the cults that a party would be taking a part in taking down, wouldn't it be hilarious for a scenario where the cleric just walks up to the cult "hey Phil, you here for the weekly sacrifice? Got a good feeling about this one, praise be to Orcus"
The Simp: joking name aside, this is a cleric that worships a succubi or similar creature, who has gained their power by feeding off those who have came to worship them, only to send that power outwards with clerics to spread their "message" in the hopes of gaining more sustenance. In example a Succubus who has lived long enough and fed enough that they can grant boons, "miracles" to it's following, people who willingly devote their lives, to a point of termination, to the succubus. another example could be Yu Yevon from Final Fantasy 10, a literal tick-like creature that fed off the faith and lives mistakenly given to it in the hopes that it would defeat a monster that Yu Yevon itself controlled.
The Splinter Faith: for context, Splinter Faith is a feat in pathfinder 2e given to clerics and champions (paladins in pf2e) that allows them to alter the edicts they are bound by in service to a religion, as well as the domains they have access to. But the interesting thing is, and this is a great narrative story for a player to sink their teeth into, is that if enough people follow a splinter faith it can BECOME the faith. In pathfinder there is already examples of such action occurring, evil gods becoming benevolent through the changing of their religion at the worshiper level. In a campaign that does have a faith focus, having someone to showcase a unique view of a prevalent god/goddess can help immensely.
An example of this I've done is in my campaign I DM and in one where I'm a player, I've created a splinter faith of a goddess known as Lahmashtu. In lore she was a demon lord who became a god by killing and devouring another god, using her ill-gotten powers to spawn all of the monstrous beasts and creatures. She is considered the Mother of Monsters, and is beyond a doubt evil. However, many of her spawn are playable ancestries, capable of good. So my splinter faith is one that focuses on the aspect that she is this creation mother, a being out for the survival of her children. So many of this new faith are particularly motherly, practitioners often serving as midwives, matrons or patrons of orphanages that serves the monstrous races that normally wouldn't be given such treatment. While still within the faith some may focus more on "The Mother's Wrath", coming to the defense of children or monstrous species in danger, like a mother defending their children.

What about a Charisma based Cleric?
Think of him like Gladiator from the X Men, a Strontian, and like others of his race has the capacity for great strength and various superpowers, but can only use them when he is completely devoted to a purpose; his abilities increase and decrease in accordance with his level of confidence.
Take this concept and mix it with the Blood of Vol religion form Eberron.
Those who follow the Blood of Vol seek immortality from within. Everyone has a spark of divinity. Find that power within.
Now you have a cleric that see himself as "The Savior" Which feeds into his ego which fuels his power.

I made Porcius "Piggy" Porkington a scout forager and raises who raises boars for pig wrestling in the Hill Dwarf Bar named the Pig Pin which his uncle owns. One when out he found a cave when caught in a storm. He found a small stone left in the cave with the rune for home. Thinking it was a blessing of Berronar Truesilver Dwarven Goddess of home and Hearth. Piggy and his prized boar Boruse bedded down to ride out the storm. In the middle of the night they were attacked by a Black bear the cave was not as abandoned as Piggy though. Boruse was killed but so was the bear. That night piggy held his friend that night a pig Boar with 2 set of tusk and gorged in a way only nursing sows. When she looked at him he heard you carry my mark and show loyalty and courage carry my mark and come with me. When he left the cave be became a boar as well and the rutted the woods feasting and hunting the next morning Boruse body was gone but he was wrapped up in a hogs head clock. With that realization he heard one last thing form the boar goddess this way your friend will protect you always. This was a Druid with a low Int and did not find out he warships Luthic the mother bear Orc Goddess of fertility and home. I came up with this character for many reasons first so is Orc and Dwarf share a runic structure if not the same translation. Also this character brake so many dwarf stereotypes dwarf archers moon druid only wanting to be bears and Orc gods only have a villainous reputation

Okay, so this is still a God being your power source, but this is your god Selecting you
Take the dragon sorcerer, rip out the sorcerer spells, make the elemental stuff radiant or necrotic (being good or evil), give it cleric spells, shields, and simple and martial weapons, rebuild the later sorcerer powers to be less dragonish and more angelish or fallen angelish, and viola, a true favored soul... (Divine Souls are not Favored Souls)
