D4 also did a Shadowblade based Bladesinger (I think) that took two levels of Twilight Cleric to be able to have on-demand dim light for advantage. I love that, of all the overpowered abilities the Twilight Cleric has, it is the flavor text of their Channel Divinity that makes the build work.

Scribes Awakened Spellbook lets you change the damage type of a spell similarly to how Transmuted Spell MM works, but without a recourse cost. I once played a Lore bard who took 2 levels of Knowledge cleric because, well, I like skill monkeys, and I've never bought into the idea that's been floated around that Jack of All Trades is all a bard needs to be a master of all skills. The extra pair of Expertise (in all practical terms) and the "skill on demand" Channel Divinity feature meant that little bastard could do just about anything, and do it well. 👿 Plus, when he reached bard 6 he took Armor of Agathys and Spirit Guardians, which kinda made him a fantastic battlefield control caster and an extremely effective tank. 🤣

agreed that sorc, warlock and cleric are the big 3 but imo fighter 2 should get a very special mention here.
personally, i don't consider gaining heavy armor prof a benefit. i'd rather wear medium armor and get 1 less ac but gain +2 dex, initiative, dex skills with no stealth disadvantage.
I'll share some of my optimized builds that had cleric in them here with some snippet of core tactics. level 10 theorycrafts:
    1. fighter 2, tempest 6, clock sorc 2- call lightning burst/sustained striker capable of churning out 3 maximized call lightnings in 1 turn. keeps enemies away with transmuted armor of agathys + thunderous strike.
    2. fighter 2, death 6, divine sorc 2- shared this already before in your death cleric vid. inflict wounds from range burst striker.
    3. fighter 2, hexlock 5, nature 3- sustained striker/controller hybrid based on forced movement + hexblade's curse and spike growth. each 5 ft instance of spike growth dmg is 2d4 + pb dmg.
    4. twilight 1, scribes wiz 9- wall of force controller. turns wall of force into an "i win" button by spamming sacred flame post combat or casting phantom hound through manifest mind inside wall of force (if under time constraints).
    5. clock sorc 9, twilight 1- wall of force controller supplemented by dragon fear (dragonborn). just like #4, kill opponents inside wall of force post combat with sacred flame.
    6. wild sorc 9, twilight 1- telekinesis controller with lots of fun at the table via wild magic. nigh unbeatable telekinesis with tides of chaos, magical guidance and bend luck.
    7. fighter 2, divine sorc 7, twilight 1- watery sphere controller. combo watery sphere with command/psychic lance for suffocation kills or grate enemies through guardian of faith.
    8. rune knight 3, daolock 5, grave 2- one-shot burst sniper. path to the grave doubling an eldritch smite sharpshooter fire rune giant's might genie's wrath hit.
    9. hexlock 1, lore bard 6, tempest 3- lightning arrow one-shot burst sniper. maximize lightning arrow.
    10. fighter 2, star druid 7, peace 1- giant insect (spiders) summoner/controller hybrid. pump their accuracy with guiding bolt, emboldening bond and cosmic omens. keep a single enemy in state of perpetual web. or summon 10 centipedes/5 wasps + dissonant whispers.

@@FlutesLoot thanks. the conclusion i have there is:
      Good Cleric mains: death, tempest
Good Cleric dips: twilight, peace, grave
the nature cleric on #3 tbh can be switched with a druid for access to spike growth and doesn't really make it a good cleric subclass. only reason i picked nature over any druid is i wanted the build to wear medium armor and be a more supportive class with with access to aid then eventually death ward. it was also cool that the build gained so many spell slots back on short rest via pact slots and harness divine power. if our DM isnt strict with druids wearing metal armor, i would've considered druid more.

I am not sure Rogue, especially Assassin which mostly have RP features and even cant generate surprise condition by itself, is good for multiclassing since Spiritual Weapon which is fantastic non Concentration 2nd lv spell uses Bonus Action and Rogues uses Bonus Action alot.
Spirit Guardian and Spiritual Weapon combo is too good even if Santuary exploit does work not with Guardian, Weapon combo.
Personally, not including Abjuration Wizard is quite a big missed opportunity as AW's Arcane Ward is even good for defending Concentration unlike Temp HPs, also super charges Dispell Magic and Counter Spell.

First of all, what is good usage of Bonus Action for Cleric at higher lv?
I am pretty sure at least one of other PC would clanking in Metal Armor wielding melee weapon who might alert possible ambush and I do not think it is good idea to jump into fight alone like a dork to whack 1 dude without buddies. At least Gloom Stalkers have access to Pass without Trace which would be better excuse for DM to award Surprise! conditions.

@@FlutesLoot I dont mind multiclassing (and I think the playtest ONED&D rules about minimum stats needed is a step in the right direction). What I dislike is, I think it is called "dipping"(?)
