there are AC on both long and short distance trains in India. only general class don't have AC. generally opposite of squatting toilet would be sitting toilet. any food with the name masala will be spicy as masala means spice.

Wow I have never seen such a nicely set up 2nd class sleeper in India!! It must be a new car as older ones never had the electric plugs or sheets or curtains! I spent at least a couple hundred hours riding the sleeper trains from 99 to 2008. Nice to see the upgrades. Happy Travels
My first train ride in India was 44 hours long Dehli to Goa. It was a great trip!!

You were escorted from the wrong place at the Agra Railway station. There’s a proper exit gate with paved road and proper taxi stand. When you leave from Agra to Delhi by train you’ll get to see the entry exit points. There’s an Indian Flag and “I love Agra” signage there.

Most long distance trains in India have a few airconditioned coaches per train (offering different services like AC 1 tier, AC 2 tier, AC 3 tier and Chair car and Exececutive Chair car depending on the length of the route) and rest of the coaches are non-Air Conditioned. The Rajdhani express train you just yravelled on are overnight long distance trains and hence offer only sleeping berths and on top of that, these two being premium trains, have only airconditioned coaches and no non airconditioned coaches. If you seek seating service with seats, you jave to look up for Chair car or executive chair car class on daytime trains that cover shorter distances (for example Shatabdi express you just named, Janshatabdi express, Vande Bharat express, Tejas express, Gatimaan express, Vistadome coach to name a few) compared to the overnight trains like the Rajdhani express.

For all foreigners especially from western countries or if you are from a cold weather country, I will suggest if you want to travel to India come in July-Dec.
    (Seasons in India :
Summer : Feb, March, April, May = please avoid in these months bcoz in India temp goes 35'c- 40'c +. And now with climate change we had heat waves in which temp went 45'c +.
Rainy : June, July, Aug, Sept = come to India only If you are ok with rainy weather, mostly it will be cloudy, humid & wet.
Winter : Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan = best for foreigners bcoz mostly you come from western countries where temp goes below 0'c in India depending on location but will be mostly between 0'c-15'c temp).

Hey I’m from Agra and i enjoyed every bit of your vlog and loved the reaction when you got snacks and water which was included in the ticket price. However just a safety suggestion, Never Ever rely on the random people on the platform trying to offer help and guide you.The exist you guys took from the station in Agra was very risky and safety concern as a tourist and not at all recommended. Always take help from designated location situated at the main exit gate of the station. Most of the stations in india would have exit and entry point in the centre from either end of the platforms.

The linens are washed after every ride but the blankets are dry cleaned once in 15 days or so. That's why they give you 2 sheets of linen. One to use as bed sheet and the other to use as a layer before the blanket.

That's the cheapest possible type of wagons, not including 'Elektrichka' which is the electro-powered trains only with seat places.

India has every level of luxury possible... Only you need to plan in advance and reserve in advance.... Casual moving causes chaos and troubles.... You got into chaos because you tried cheap option... There are fantastic hotels in Agra etc with station pickup and transfer organized by the hotel... So you should have booked in advance and asked for car number and mobile number from booking desk... India is a diverse heterogeneous society and you should pick your level and associates properly.. I have travelled around the world and faced many problems unless you select associates carefully... In india we go for the best when we travel with ladies or children or elders to get maximum comfort... Please follow the same and plan well in advance.. best wishes from Kolkata....

I totally get when you got the chills and had to wear a jacket. We Indians need to "cool off" with our cooling obsessions, the AC is supposed to keep one at comfortable temperature, not freeze one to popsicle. This is the reason(and also the cost) why for first 3 decades of my life I never took an AC ride(train or bus), but lately the climate has become unpredictable and the non-AC rides are either too crowded or dirty, so I am having to take AC options and I don't like the chills at all. I cover myself with masks, cap and jackets. You may think I am not habituated with cold, but I am not, I was raised in the Himalayas. But, it's one thing to feel natural cold outside when you are active, and another thing to be blasted with artificially cold, dry air when you are cozy and trying to sleep or something. The whole India as a nation should increase the standard AC temperature in its restaurants, trains and buses by at least 3-4 degree C. As an added bonus, It's also energy efficient and climate friendly.

9:41 actually there are seated toilets in the trains. Every coach has both types of toilets. They are opposite to each other.

Protip for future India train trips: 12go Asia. A website where you can book Indian train tickets with just a €0.60 surcharge per ticket. Much more stable than irctc, takes visa on the first attempt, no hassle. I used IRCTC 2017-2019 for a total of four trips. Then when I went back to India this year in February I used 12go Asia, and have not bothered looking back.

Liked ur vlog. Funny part was her showing the loo experience literally. I mean who does that..anyways it may help some foreigners who might be seeing it . Doing that way is the most natural and easy way for the body to internal cleaning.... chao....

Its "AC Two Tier(two rows) Sleeper Class". "Second Class" is very cheap and very basic.
This is the order of comfort and cost:
    1. First AC Sleeper (1A)
    2. AC Two Tier Sleeper (2A)
    3. AC Three Tier Sleeper (3A)
    4. First Class (FC)
    5. Sleeper (Non AC Three Tier) (SL)
    6. AC Chair Car (CC)
    7. Non AC Chair Car (CC)
    8. Second Class (2S) or Unreserved (UN)
