1:53 I do feel your pain. Each of the coaches is almost 80 feet long and you had to walk literally the whole length of the train, around 18 coaches. Trains in India are really long. In fact, before the LED displays for coach positions were put on platforms, it was even more of a challenge, as we had to keep guessing the coach position till the train pulls in. Also, the reason you had to speak up at the coach was the End on Generator (EOG) coach behind you. That coach has a diesel generator to generate the power for the Air conditioning and lighting for the entire train. The downside is that it is incredibly loud. I think you could hear that drone even in the cabin as well. 4:10 That is another reason why the AC 2 tier coach or above is preferable. The height of coaches is restricted to about 14 feet from rail level, and a triple bunk in that height means that there isn't enough headspace. I don't know how tall you guys were, but I am short myself and I still felt awkward being hunched into that space. 10:25 Also, the ticket examiner usually checks for ID if he feels suspicious, otherwise usually he doesn't do that much strictly (can't blame him much, he has to manage almost half a dozen coaches and keep track at every station). Although there are some (especially in South India) who are really strict about tickets and the associated IDs. Bottom Line: Just carry the ID proof anywhere while you travel and save yourself a whole lot of bother. 11:25 It is really challenging. I just remember the number of times I ended up dropping my phone from the upper berth (90% of the time). Luckily, it was an old timey Motorola phone, so it was indestructible, and I was saved. Another interesting aspect is the emergency brake chain in each compartment, which can be pulled to stop the train. Also for any medical emergency, reporting harrassment, etc you can use Twitter and tag the railways and minister, RPF. Helpline number is 139 but it's a long navigation through IVR

Ticket checker didn't asked for your ticket coz, he already had all the details (including PNR number) in his list. He asked your name just to make a confirmation.. that's all... In some cases they cases ask for ID but that happens occasionally...
Looks like our Floridian expert friend didn't inform you how to eat but I'll help. 1. Sit on the berth. 2. Turn inwards. 3. Bend one of your knees such that your bent thigh is parallel to the seat. 4. Put the food tray in front of you to a comfortable distance from the bent knee. 5. Eat.

12:08 The locomotive that you were disappointed to see is not the actual locomotive that took you to your destination. That was an old fashioned low horsepower diesel locomotive which is restricted to just shunting activities within a railway station. It's job is just to bring your train coaches into the platform while the actual locomotive, an electric one, attaches itself a few moments before the train's scheduled departure time.
after watching this vlog i am missing my dehradoon trip last oct. indian railways journey always unique in someway to everyone.. thanks we indians welcome u to our incredible india🙏
Mam, the dark green colour locomotives that u have shown in the thumbnail or in the beginning, that is used mainly for shunting purpose, shunting means to pull the entire train from washing pit or shed to the platform, but for entire journey, mainly premium Indian train like duranto,Rajdhani,Shatabdi, tejas express etc,I.railway is using new generation locomotive i.e WAP7,WAP5..

Ah! Man this is the station I stop literally twice a week and cross from South SEALDAH to Sealdah Main and get to my destination. 😌 Hope you had a nice experience here. ❤️
It is a feature of Indian Railways that Express trains are brought from trainyard to station by a diesel locomotive and an electric locomotive is attached to the other end which actually takes the train to its destination. The diesel locomotive is detached beforehand of the journey

@@ChaseforAdventure yep that creepo was a total sell out 😀 You like my name ? or was it something else ? ..... I can assure you that it is my given name and not a made up one for social networking sites. I am an anglo-indian. To put it very bluntly we are the offspring of British and Indian couples and we have built a very strong and popular legacy here in India. While most of us have moved on to the US, UK, Australia etc, our presence still lingers on here in all corners of India. We have solid Christian names and are staunch Roman Catholics. Infact some of us look exactly like our forefathers even today. Bow-Barracks, Picnic Gardens, Ripon Street etc in Kolkata is where a majority of our community still exists (whats left of us), although traces of us are still scattered all over the country. You should research us and you will be pleasantly surprised by how close on your heels we are - being born and brought up in India. Take care !!

Haha we actually have been getting that quite a bit 😁 Thank you so much! 😊
00:47 it seems very good to listen an American girl saying thanku in hindi 😊😘
Haha she loved trying speaking different languages 😁🤙🏽
Another interesting aspect is the emergency brake chain in each compartment, which can be pulled to stop the train.
Also for any medical emergency, reporting harrassment, etc you can use Twitter and tag the railways and minister, RPF. Helpline number is 139 but it's a long navigation through IVR
Seriously saw your blog for the first time and I must say your blogs are so amazing .... Always keep smiling ... ❤️❤️Surely soon you are gonna have millions of followers 😍
Awww thank you so much Ashu 💙☺️ I am so glad you are enjoying the adventures 😜🤙🏽

Guy's skintone is literally indian...girls hair are not black rest she also looks indian(set for bad English)😁
Haha we actually have been getting that quite a bit 😁
She can easily cheat being Indian on an Indian college campus. No problem. The guy, of course!
Ticket checker didn't asked for your ticket coz, he already had all the details (including PNR number) in his list. He asked your name just to make a confirmation.. that's all... In some cases they cases ask for ID but that happens occasionally...
Ah thank you so much for the info! We had our passports ready and got confused as to why he didn't check them lol 😁
Great, Income and Job

Looks like our Floridian expert friend didn't inform you how to eat but I'll help.
1. Sit on the berth.
2. Turn inwards.
3. Bend one of your knees such that your bent thigh is parallel to the seat.
4. Put the food tray in front of you to a comfortable distance from the bent knee.
5. Eat.
Thanks for the advice :)
Respect Indian and Indian railways
I agree!
@@ChaseforAdventure thanks
3:16 the robotic look of that uncle says it all, he is either awestruck at the beauty of Miss or he was in loss of words to fill up 😀
Haha! He was a really nice uncle 😊
I'm not claustrophobic, but sleeping on top there gives me that feeling. I can't😂
Haha it was a little tight 😂
But it's one of the coziest place to sleep if you are in 2 tier AC coach. I agree 3 tire could be claustrophobic sometime.
Upper birth gives much more privacy and safety especially for ladies. When I travel alone always prefer upper birth as u can sit in lower birth and can sleep if u want anytime in day as well
It has its own craze
Go for 1st tier coach , pay extra money for that..
Oh how cool! Thank you for sharing Ajay 😊🤙🏽
You explained well. I came down to comment that only.
Well explained
India India,,hope you guys enjoyed ,love u both...

Awww I’m so sorry friend! I can only imagine 💙
And thank you so much! That is so kind of you to say 😊
Oh how cool! Thank you so much for letting us know Abhishek 😁
Yes. Sealdah Duronto pulled by a Howrah based WAP-7.
👌
6000 HP WAP7 electric locomotive top speed 200 kmph..In comparison there is no such powerful electric locomotive USA have

@@ChaseforAdventure Wlcm brother😊😇
The locomotive you laughed was shunter locomotive. Main locomotive will be attached later once train reaches the platform.
Thank you for sharing, friend!☺️

This corona make this all in memories..
We can’t wait to go back!b
10:43 they have passenger list with them.
The one engine u showed and thought, was a diesel car used just to bring the train to the platform. .
👌

I am an Indian you Lough on the diesel engine but the train is run on electric engine .The dieseal engine was shunting the train
Thank you so much for the information friend! 😊
Probably a 6000 HP AC 3 PHASE WAP 7 engine
It is a feature of Indian Railways that Express trains are brought from trainyard to station by a diesel locomotive and an electric locomotive is attached to the other end which actually takes the train to its destination. The diesel locomotive is detached beforehand of the journey
How cool! Thank you so much for the information. 😊
You guys are too ❤️ cute 💕
Welcome to India .....love you from my side 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much friend! 😁💙
search for premium trains like vande Bharat express ,Tejas express on RUclips, these are some of the private trains owned by Indian national railways but catered by semiprivate company named IRCTC those trains journeys are worth money as they all are priced below 50 USD for full journey and those are full service trains like food and beverage are included in your fair ,you can even get the tickets for these journey as low as 10 usd in non peak times
Thank you so much for the recommendation! 😁🤙🏽 Your a champion!

Hello from India !!
Hope you guys had an awesome time here and also hope you guys made it back home with all your stuff intact...... Like when you set out.
If your answer is YES, then I want to say "Congratulations" !! ...You can now go, with confidence, to any corner of the world and make it back home without any hassles.
If you can make it through India, then visiting any country in the world will be a cakewalk for you guys. I am being very practical here.
PS : Good job dealing with that Creepo in an assertive manner. He was looking out/at the door but his cell phone camera was pointed straight at you. You won't believe the length these creeps go to, to invade privacy. But I'm sure you guys have mastered the art of shaking off these characters.
Take care, stay safe and stay home..🙌👊
Thank you so much for all of the well wishes Daniel. We did, so thank you for the congratulations 🤙🏽 and that is so true, if you can travel India...you can travel anywhere.
Thank you so much. To be honest, we thought it was funny from how bad the guy was about hiding it 😂
...Great name by the way! 😜
@@ChaseforAdventure yep that creepo was a total sell out 😀
You like my name ? or was it something else ?
👌
At 01:28, this Locomotive is from American Locomotive Company (ALCO), Year 1965 Model.
All our Diesel Locomotives Like ALCO, EMD and GE are from America.
Thank You for this Beautiful blog video.
Thank you for sharing, friend!☺️ so happy you like the video!!
