  • The Luba 2 is the second revision of the original and very popular Luba model and it brings several upgrades and changes. While this is the first robot mower I have reviewed (not last either) on this channel, I bring over 5 years of robot navigation experience to the review.

    So glad to hear your thoughts on this! I just put in my order for a Luba 2 3000H earlier today. I'm feeling much more confident in my decision to jump having heard your review. Thanks!

      It’s friggin’ awesome. Got mine May 11th. I’m able to get other important things done around the farm without worrying about the lawn. Such a great invention!

    Thank you for the work you do and glad to see that you are branching out into the yard robots as well. I have been considering one of these for several months. It is good to see one of these in operation from a channel that is not on the manufacturers website. I have several acres to mow so I would be focusing this one in the area where there are a lot of trees to circle around and leave the wide open areas for the Zero turn.

      @@jamie.andrews I got most of mine answered by reading the owners manual which is available for download. I was mainly interested in an unbiased review as to whether these were ready for the real world or if I should let them be for a season to let the company debug them on other people's time. Looks to me like these are ready!

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  2 месяца назад

      @@ronaldclobes9340 I think so. I will use them to cut my grass from here out. Just be aware it is new technology and that requires a bit of patience, understanding, and technical knowledge and if you have all of those qualities I think you will love it. Crate a no-go zone around anthing in it's path like a tree, shed, bush etc. Also when mapping your zone drive it atleast a foot away from the edge. You already have to use a weedeater anyway plus what I do is perform manual mowing and use the mower to get close to my fence and house after the main job is finished. Then I weedeat.

    Great review! I was considering a mower upgrade but now this has me thinking I may give a robot mower a try. I think I'd keep my traditional walk behind mower as a backup or for bagging clippings.
    One feature I'd like to see with this is the ability to stripe the lawn.

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  2 месяца назад +1

      It can stripe the lawn. You can do all sorts of patterns with it. I'm quite impressed with the abilities and with the company with their communication and with their updates. It is a new company and they are already leading the small pack.

    Jamie this is a very timely review. I was curious what the state of robot mowers were and this popped in my feed! Looking forward to the 2WD model review as well. Dreametech just launched their first robot mower. Are you planning on reviewing that? Would love to see a comparison vid!
    Edit: I'm also curious how these handle stone walkways!

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes I have the Dreame mower and will review it this summer. You can create no go zones around the walkways if there is going to be interference.

    Great review! Looking forward to the Yuka review (as I have Luba 1 and want to see if I should upgrade). For Luba 2, still trying to understand if the camera aide's movement and mapping. The reason I ask is that I have a decent number of trees that present a weak signal and constant dropping for Luba 1. How is the signal connectivity and does the camera aid in the robot's movement? Many times, with Luba 1 it loses signal and locks itself. It may sit there, drain its battery, and then I have to go recover it. Worried this still might be an issue. Thanks!

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  2 месяца назад +1

      I have one huge tree in my backyard and it does not hesitate under it. The cameras are used as a visual aid to help it navigate when GPS signal is lost. The Luba 2 and Yuka address the issue you are having. Yuka review will be out soon.

    Worked for 6 weeks, then stopped
    Support ticket created on May 20th

      @@jamie.andrews It worked great for 6 weeks, then i started having all sort of battery/power issues: mower dying in the yard, suddenly discharging, drastically reduced mow times, overheating errors while charging, charging randomly stopping. Support ticket for 6 weeks has not resolved the issue. They will not acknowledge any physical issue with the battery/power system and will not respond to my request for replacement. Ticket #432372. I'm probably pretty biased as i'm looking for similar, but i've seen many similar complaints on FB, and certainly numerous concerning their atrocious support.
