    The biggest problem with my Luba 2 10000, that I paid for with my own money, is that it hasn’t worked a single day that I’ve owned it. Not one time. From day one, for the past 8 weeks, I have been going back and forth with Mammotion to get a replacement unit or a refund. The just claim a firmware fix is on the way and that I need to be patient. I spent nearly $4,500 for this paperweight and they won’t accept a return. I’m not sure anyone should put any faith in their “2-year warranty”, considering they wouldn’t replace or refund a dead robot on day 1!!!

    • @SvenSalemans
      @SvenSalemans 2 месяца назад

      Could you elaborate on what the problem is exactly? Why it won't work?

    • @jspearm1983
      @jspearm1983 2 месяца назад +5

      @@SvenSalemans it would take a long time to list all the problems. I think the biggest issue is that the Luba 2 overheats while charging in hot climates. Mammotion tried to fix this problem a couple weeks ago with a firmware update that severely limits the rate at which all units can recharge, but for many users, the overheating issue remains. To try to keep my unit from overheating, I set my tasks to begin running at midnight, but it still overheats even in the middle of the night. Many users are having this issue. It’s possible it’s a design flaw, or potentially a bad batch of batteries that were used in some units. It has been 8 weeks and they still haven’t helped me.
      Other issues are the GPS position issues, failure to dock, failure to charge, recharge failed, temperature sensors in the motors failing. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. If you order from this company, pray you get a perfect working unit. Because if you need them to replace or refund you, you are out of luck, and out the money.

      Honestly, I have to agree. For the price point, don't do it. Either try another mower out there or at the very least buy 2 smaller units. 1. you'll be about the same price, 2. it will get double the work done in the same time frame. I did all my research and knew this on the first luba and while that was also a disaster as I couldn't use it for the first 4 months due to them smashing the RTK antenna wire when assembling and it taking that long for customer service to send me the right part(an RTK unit), plus I had to tear it apart myself to find the issue for them. But once it was up and running, I was fairly happy. Well, the luba 2 came out, and I totally forgot about the fact that it was better to buy 2 smaller units and bought the 10000H, and the second disaster started. Vision shield broke during shipping, 2 months to get that. Vision didn't work correctly and ran itself into items and broke the guards, just got those last week after several emails and them sending the wrong parts(bought it in April). The fact that it has to mow basically all day and you'd have to have a perfect yard to ever consider 2.5 acres. The software issues with no go zones. To the battery issues with heat. The loss of mowing for 2+ weeks due to update issue with positioning. To several other software issues, including the ruining your yard due to the multiple trips it has to make to charger from a zone and runs the exact same path every time. To my latest issue that the right front wheel is locking up, saying over heating, hall sensor issue, etc and it will only be 5 months at the middle of this month.

    Perfect lawn, so maybe that’s what is required for this kind of mower. The best reviews highlight what hasn’t worked. You covered rtk placement and mentioned lack of blade “lift” but never talked about wet lawn, stuck mower, lost position, electrical faults, etc. this makes sense when the unit is provided for free and is why places like Consumer Reports always purchase their products to be sure it hasn’t been “tweaked “ For a review.

    • @TurfCulture
      @TurfCulture  Месяц назад

      @@kenalden2092 if I’m not experiencing any of those issues I can’t really comment on it from personal experience. Loss of signal was a problem on the older models but with the model I’m using Luba 2 has a failover to a vision module. I also haven’t heard of any problem with electrical faults rather 🤷‍♂️ I’m just providing a transparent perspective of my experience with it.

    Great review, maybe I missed it but there a reason you bought the 10,000 version, 2.5 acre and not a lower model?, also did you buy it yourself and set it up and satisfied with their 2-year warranty or were you able to get some kind of an extended warranty, that's my issue if I get it I'm not interested in being a handyman at this stage, so I would hope to have more than a 2-year warranty. Kickstarter owner of Luba - great hardware, horrible software and even worse customer service - cannot recommend
    Additionally, the four-wheel AWD absolutely destroys the turf at the boundary where it turns around to make a return pass (even with multi-point enabled, still far too aggressive on the turf)

    It is the worst mower I’ve ever seen… you can’t even call this thing a mower… it’s a total scam… all it does is push the grass down and makes the appearance of a mowed yard… I WANT MY 4200.00 back!!!
