      Thanks mate, you should go for it. Even though this was my first build I didn't find it veryry difficult and there's a huge amount of builders out there that are more than happy to give advice along the way especially on insta. As for time I really have no idea! I built this over a year but only a few hours after work a couple of nights a week and some full days on odd weekends. Pricing depends on how much you do yourself or out source like paint, sandblasting etc and if you want to go down the full m-unit rewire or happy to leave most of the wiring and do a BEP 3.0 install so again it's hard to judge but I think if you had around a 10k AUD budget you would be more than covered

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  2 года назад

      Thanks so much for the comment Sam. I do have tips on my insta but in a nutshell my method now is to firstly sand blast then wet sand the item down through coarse to fine grits as much as possible so it's almost there which will save your wheels and cutting compound. From there I use a bench grinder with a stitched cotton cutting wheel and coarse compound then onto a stitched cotton polishing wheel and fine compound then finish with a loose cotton polishing wheel which usually doesn't need any compound but if required a bit of super fine or autosol does the job. Seems a lot but once you get the hang of it the process is quite quick

      Hi Kevin, I don't have much experience with the k100 mate. Mine is a k1100 with paralever so I asked a buddy who has done it (@ditstang on Instagram) and here's his reply
      It will unfortunately never be centered unless he machines the hub of the wheel. You need a spacer to clear 170 and that's fairly kicked left of center. Switching to a paralever could probably net you 180 and stay centered.
      So pretty much if you run a monolever you will have an offset wheel to start and would have to run a spacer as well to get a 170 shoe on it. If you have a paralever this will centre the K12 rim
      Hope this helps mate and maybe have a look at his IG page as he will have info on there. I run a 170 on mine with a paralever and it's pretty tight
