Seldom have I seen an actor becoming the part he's playing. Jeremy switched into the role of quintessential Holmes so alarmingly, it was hard to differentiate between a Brett and a Holmes. He deserves a standing ovation for the immortal portrayal.

Some of the singing in the first snipit was very good. He could have been the singing voice of Fred in My FairLady. I'll stay away from Audrey Hepburn's not singing in that. Here I am wondering how much was Jeremy Brett.

And it took its toll too. Jeremy himself suffered from bipolar disorder and he said playing home was frightening at times.
