Why Trans-Am didn't give Drissi the black flag or move over flag since he was laps down we may never know. Someone in that series failed to tell him that he was laps down. However, what he did was poor sportsmanship. Nothing wrong with blocking, but taking another driver out with you, especially someone fighting for a championship, no excuse for him.
I imagine they did. At the very least, I can promise you he saw a lot of blue flags from corner stations. I used to volunteer with the corner marshal/ F & C group based near there (Lake Erie Communications), and they're on the ball. A very professional group at least when the racing started/ something happened. Otherwise... Well, you don't have to be nuts to be a corner worker, but it most certainly attracts the type. They have fun, but when it hits the fan, they are 110% on the job. I can just imagine some of the radio chat.....
I think the only time I ever rooted for Drissi in anything was when he ran Joe Nemechek's 87 cup car in 2013, and that was entirely because it was Joe Nemechek's 87 car

No, blocking is alway illegal except one time on the last lap on the charge to the finish line and one block only.
