It's not a good thing because the overwhelming majority of animal handling companies in the entertainment industry have a long history of USDA violations for animal cruelty and neglect. SNL is putting those animals in a bad position, not thinking much about the true true of doing so.

Mulaney did write a lot of material for Hader when he was on SNL. Mulaney's sensibility + Hader always equaled comedy gold - this would have been hilarious for Hader.
Every skit is perfect for Bill Hader
He could play a similar character as the host of "What's that name?"

Now, reading it again, I had tears in my eyes from laughing hard. It was already funny when John said it though, but seeing it written out like this, it made it even funnier somehow.
How is mulaney not a cast member. I want him there every week if possible.
Well, he was a lead writer on there for years, and he wanted to move on to other things. He just maintained a great relationship with everyone there, so he still hosts sort of frequently.
@@IloveGorgeousGeorge that makes a lot of sense. You can feel the energy the rest of the cast brings when hes there. I also feel they are a little more daring and willing to push the envelope further with him there. Like a performance sherpa.
He wasn't a lead writer
I really like his material, but he has no range as an actor. I think people would tire of seeing him essentially play himself on screen. He's fun in small doses.

He was on Nick Cannon’s Wild and Out on MTV back in like ‘06 or ‘07 along with Taran Killam. He also did a viral parody video called “David Blaine’s Street Magic” that I suggest to everyone. I’ve been a fan ever since!

I absolutely love John Mulaney’s snarky voice. There’s something about him that is just so special.
This was, for some reason I can't explain, funnier than the sketches that made it to air.

John Mulaney is a brilliant comedian. His expressions were great in this video. Infact, every question he asked as a host was pretty logical and had no intentions of discouraging the guests.

Kenan is just a brilliant comedic talent. He can make me laugh out loud with just a facial expression. He’s hilarious…in a sketch full of comedic talent
