The fact John Mulaney isn't on SNL more often is a real shame. He is great, especially with the dead pan deliveries.
Too bad they push that awful (Seinfeld knockoff) sitcom at him.

Pretty redeeming sketch for Luke, if you ask me. I felt bad after his first episode getting off to a rocky start, but this episode seems to prove him as a fairly solid cast member. Keep it up, Luke.

Well it's not just the first sketch, he's bombed almost every sketch he's been in since then too. This sketch is a good start, but he's got a LOT of work to do if he doesn't want to get cut when the season ends.
Her acting is so spot on. I'm sure most of us have run into someone that behaves just like that. Intelligence and all.

I saw John Mulaney on the thumbnail and immediately clicked on the video
So the intro and outro b-roll is at Caltech and in the intro, you can see a current undergrad (named Daniel) who rides his unicycle everywhere.
The intro and outro are identical footage, so we see unicycle Daniel both times.
This sounds like a John Mulaney joke in the making.
I knew that I recognized that corner! Apparently it's the math building now, but that's probably not relevant to the sketch.

I think we should keep an open mind and give Luke Null a chance. This was a decent sketch he was in. I can see why people think he doesn’t have to even be on the cast, but we should keep in mind that this is only is first year, so of course he’s going to have a bumpy start and maybe from here on out, he’ll be in more sketches.
