I am on a school bus and looking out the window I can still see Lake Michigan, Adler Planetarium, the red brake lights of the cars on Lake Shore Drive on a cloudy, cold, rainy day as this song plays on WLS radio. That’s the greatest thing about music, it makes memories when you don’t even realize it. Sometimes I wish I could go back and no, I wouldn’t come back to the present.

Heard this song and other classics as a kid while my mother would drive us to school. She'd play a station that played the same line up every morning and this song was included with others that have made good memories for me. I feel so blessed to grow up with this music even though I was an 80s baby.
We don’t get hard working high standard musicians with showmanship like mr Fambrough now days and the rest of the original spinners members . even at the grand age he is at now he out performs many of the modern artists. I Truly Hope one day soon the spinners make the trip across the pond to the u.k. it would. It would Be a dream come true to see the group live and a huge honour to ever meet and speak to mr Fambrough. I’m 34 and grew up hearing the music with my dad who listened to them and they are one of my favourite groups. The nearest I will ever get to seeing them live in concert is on RUclips finger crossed that changes.

You can hear how they lead with the high hat to make you stop and marvel, and then subtly step it back a bit once the song got going. That's called Mastering, and I miss the skill of that kind of attention to detail.
