The awesome thing with Nolan is the easter eggs he plants. While on the water planet, you can faintly hear a continuous clicking in the background. Each click represents a day on Earth.

the idea of time being a physical reality is hard to even imagine. the closest thing i can think of it is grains of sands in an hour glass. it makes you think about what other stuff we can't see that has a physical reality. oxygen and air, gravity, hope and faith. it's trippy to think about.
it was weird to see the dude's kids get older than him and record it in a video diary. usually it's the parents or grandparents that record stuff for their offspring to watch, but this was backwards.
if he spent 23 years up there then he better have had a playstation and dvds or something. if humanity had time though they could use that planet to grow food since time passes by faster there. if it had a landmass or fertile soil that is.
the only way i can see humans living on that planet is if they lived underwater in bases or something.
