lol
LOL
Whenever I have a long pause I think about it the entire solve and how it could've been better.
Me too
This video is telling me that my cross, f2l, and cube are all bad

Can I just.... Your tutorials have helped me so much!! When I averaged 30 seconds your videos weren't of much help because your tutorials were for advanced solvers but now that I am sub 20 your videos help me so much!! Sadly I am a kid and cannot afford to support you on patreon. So this is what I could do. Support you through a comment. Because you support me through your tutorials. Thank you so much!!!!!
awesome! comments are always appreciated too :)
Filipe Teixeira, I agree.
Why is this so so sweet (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
My pb is 57 I don't wanna learn oll or pll they scare me plus I'm slow at f2l
@@Dusk444 do 4 look last layer only 16 algs
'Felix' doesn't look slow......
Feliks doesn't look😅😅😅
He has really good lookahead and really good TPS at the same time .
ok he's too much faster than you most likely. if you averaged 7 he'd probably look about the same as you feel
@@JPerm I was joking dude
I really agree with your comment, dylan!
J Perm's tutorials really help me to get faster. When i first watched J Perm's tutorials i was sub-40 but now i am going to break the sub-20 barrier. Thanks J Perm!
hey same here
Were same
I get the feeling this is a common position because i also relate
I just broke sub 20 couple of days ago and just today i broke sub-15!!
@@Tcuder how do u go from sub 20 to sub 15 in a few days. liar -_-
MY MIND HAS JUST EXPLODED NOW I KNOW REALITY,THANKS J PERM
2:20 me!!!!.... Wow I just got featured!
Lol you got dissed tho 😂 your comment wasn't a very clever one

in another video, in the comments, he said he had a dog
Yup it's a dog's voice hear carefully....
I've been averaging around 9-10 seconds recently, and I was stuck in the 15 seconds barrier before that. I've done slow turning but it didn't work out well for me. I discovered that you have to have good cross to f2l transition (key element in sub 10) and fast F2L transitions. It comes naturally after you keep on solving AND learning from your solves. When you learn i mean you know you should not turn at full tps but at a fast tps. Then, i made my OLL and PLL transition faster by not turning at full tps but at a fast tps. Your solve should look like a "dance" to make a solve fast. Then boom, sub 10.
I didnt get ur comment..
Well..my average is 1min 7 sec tho :P
i agree tho
bro this comment helped more then 100 videos i watched already just have to remember it..
@@scruffysz Youre welcome :D
Hey, 3 years later, what do you average? I average 10-11 rn (with plenty of 9 second solves) and I am trying to get sub 10. Any other tips for me? Thanks
I've never realized that before.. I usually film my solves, but my purpose for doing it was just to have a chance to catch a PB on cam... maybe my long-awaited PB break would be more plausible if i "critique" myself and see and realize where i lack... thanks 👍👍
Same. ;(
I'm Albert Einstein's grand grand grand grandson btw.
I really like this. I think it really is the fact that you don't realize when you pause for a long time or execute poorly when your mind is rushing during solves. I absolutely detest watching myself solve. But I might have to go and do this :/
*watches myself*
*gets bored of watching me pause for most of it.*
I had this question for quite a long time. Great, you thought it through well.
I remember watching this video one month ago... one month, I could only do 30 sec. and didn’t know what you were doing... now I know when you were doing f2l pair one and two. In one month, I went from 30 sec. to sub 20 because of this mans channel.
I feel the same. I know I can cut more than 50% of my time if I didn't pause so much. Thanks for reinforcing to record yourself. I keep telling myself to do that.
Man this series droped my times from 20 to 15
I'm italian !!!!!!!!!!! I think your videos are amazing, your one of the best (in my opinion the best) explaining cubing concepts, THANK YOU SO MUCH
Best series on whole RUclips
From learning the 3rd lear of the Rubiks cube to averaging sub 15
You were the guide during my journey
"or, would you prefer to just sit an d practice in your comfort zone?"
Help! Police! I've been attacked...
Filmed my own solve for self critique and could find so much to improve on just in finger tricks and rotations
Thanks bro
Just like watching the marching clip after every game
JPERM: “Why fast cubers look slow.”
Felix Zemdegs: “Do I look slow to you?!”
Aahan Ghose Feliks not Felix
Alternate title: why you suck solving a Rubik’s cube
if u didn't understand the concept get lost Feliks averages 9 seconds with slow turning he practices slow turning from which he advanced to 6 second average
should change ur user name to T perm
Been thinking about this for a while!

Starbruder old phones smh
Thanks for that but I am suffering with about 10 -15 cube rotations in f2l only so what can I do for that?
Good tip. Bit u know i have pauses. Im not wazching the pai im doing but im still having problems finding twi matching pairs while the pieces are moving around. Any tips on that or is that just something that comes with time?
Also. Can you make a video on how you choose ur first f2k pair to track during inspection.
I’m watching in KOREA!!!
I’m your fan Jperm
Plz ❤️ :)
Wow! This video cleared my doubt
I just want to ask in order to get average 30 seconds solves do you need to know full fridrich oll/pll ? Because I have been using 2 look oll and pll and I feel like I am at a dead end like I can't get any faster than that.
The opening solve is satisfying
what is the cube that you use ? and how much does it cost ? and from were you got it? plz ans
Ey nice uploads lately. Even tho im sub 10 these are very entertaining to watch.
This was perfect timing because I watched feliks solve 4x4 and it looked like he had sooo many pauses but he was averaging like 25 and I average barely sub 50.
yessss plug that patreon boi
I'm just happy that I can finally solve it. Living through the 80's and seeing cubes everywhere and only a handful of people could solve it. Back in the day, you had to buy and read a book to learn it. No youtube.
Roux user but glad wasn't thrown off by title. Really helpful thanks!
thank you for 5 tip because that tips helps me a lot
Love your videos...I just got my first sub 15 mo3 and sub 16 ao5
I just love your videos!
I just lubed by thunderclap with weight 3 and I overshoot a lot my times are gone to 30 sec from 25 what to do?
That was surely needed
This video really appreciate me fir cubing
Thanks dude ♥️
I'd like to see a video on inconsistent solve times talking about some of the causes and ways it can be fixed. If I had to chose I think I'd rather be consistent but slower than have a wide variation of times.
well one reason is 3- or 4-look LL being inconsistent for number of looks. another thing is F2L recognition/searching/look ahead varies based on how easy the cases are to see, even if their move count is similar. I mention consistency in one of the videos in this series regarding not messing up look ahead on hard solves
This was very very helpful to me thx u so so much
I know oll edges oriented &pll corners oriented and 50 f2l cases, how long should it take me to solve it?
This f2l series is awesome

Hey J what is the name of your timer software please ?
Thank you for this the is going to help me a lot
The solves at the beginning just got to prove, that no pauses are so much more important than good tps
j perm i love your content an my favourite algs are both j s'
What if You have an ipad and have the same issue with not having a good camera angle?
J perm my average is normally somewhat like 12-15, my pb is 9 seconds, my goal Is to get 8 seconds what should I do? I know full oll and pll and lookahead.please help me
Thanks j perm now I know what is my problem while solving cube... and that is my cross is so bad...but I'm still curious how can you get 12 seconds with a slow turning...
Dude! Nice points!
J perm’s house is so different from what i expected it to be
J Perm: "Faster Cubers look slow"
Me: "whOaAH hE FAst!"
I know my own weaknesses without recording
1. Slow dot OLL for 2LOLL
2. Not Searching for 1st pair while finishing cross
3. F2L Look ahead
4. Only knowing 1 good way to pair up most cases
5. Sometimes forgetting to check yellow cross when white cross is hard (I can solve from both white or yellow cross)
6. TPS, which I recently improved but for cross it's not very good and for F2L I improved TPS immensely recently.
Thanks so much for this tutorial it’s helped me a lot
It brought my PB down 20 sec!!
My main weakness is f2l it usually takes me over half the time I get just to finish f2l, I also take a while to do the cross. I also have terrible look ahead and ok tps. Oll and pll are relatively fast because I’m better with algorithms than actually figuring it out myself. My pauses also take a second or two which makes my time even longer.
I noticed that when I’m doing Oll I take a long pause to see if the corners are in the right spot anyone know how to get look ahead for that
Thank you for the tip about the cup
Nice Idea For Recording!!
What about some tips on regrips? You say in your video on how to be sub-15 that one should minimize regrips to get faster. But I'm at 16-17 and don't know how to minimize regrips more to get time advantage.
And also: What is worth more learning? LL subsets like COLL or LS subsets like WV?
Thanks for the good advice
Man ! You're a GENIUS !
Thx for the tips
Ya I tried the phone in cup, but ig it could've worked better if I took out the water first...
Hashim Adeel HAHAHA
I have no room, no shelf. And i AVG sub 12 which look ahead really matters. Rip
It really worked!!!
The slow turning Breakdown my 14.701 sec PB to 12.42.
Thanks J Perm 😁😁😁
👍
YOU THE BEST BRO.
U just said all the things I need j perm... thx
I do average around 15-17 but I don't know full oll , pls tell me some tips to get sub 15
J Perm, slow down.U are coming with too much good content to us man
Yo, that first solve is exactly how I do a cube solve (except the last layer obviously) . I just can't do solves with higher tps without overshooting or locking up.😀😀
Really great seeires !!! I think this deserves a grand prize
Yeah thats how i solve too except oll
The best video thanks!!
What timer you use?
J perm can you please show me the right tensioning and the springs of that cube? Because it's my one and only speed and expensive cube but is not comfortable to me so i need your right tensioning and springs thank you. 😉
I have a lube tutorial that covers this!
my issue is I know I have horrible f2l pauses and I know they are super long(some can be well over 2 seconds) but ikd how to improve it and I am also bad at lookahead
Great video
Thanks now I feel better when I watch my myself solve 🙂
This guy is the future champ
0:29, to be fair though, that was the luckiest F2L ever.
How can I solve this dice
Plot twist: *The timer was a paid actor*
Hey J Perm, when i use "MOYU" cubes i avg 12-13 and when i switched to the gan 354M i avg 14-16 i dont know what is the problem and btw your vids made me sub 15 XD i started watching your video when im sub 30 and all my LL algs are from your videos THANKS!
Jperm how do i now hesitate on using timer
Efficiency is Everything.
How you set the Stop watch
Wow nice!
Have you gone full time on RUclips? You have uploaded for like 4 days in a row! And they are all great video! :D
Did u comment on a video on how to solve a 3x3 blind
I want to find a club of people to learn with. I have just learned the beginers technique and starting to get better at F2L
How i found that my HUGE weakness was lookahead was at a comp. I saw people slower than me solve faster than me bc they did little to no pauses.
The title always kept me thinking
Hi J perm I'm a huge fan of your vids... But I am sub 15 I'm not full pll or oll... How could I drop my times to be sub 12??
watch my sub-x series, and let me know if you have more specific questions as well
Nice video
0:37 um what i do is i’d go for the line first... but... its like u skipped it.. wait how..
i am didn't practice for almost 2months i was 15 to 16 averaging but now i am 20 to 25 i got sub 20 like i worked hard for 5 months what do i do
I average 18-19 and Ive found out that most the times i get 14-16s its always when my turning is slow and smooth. I have quite a rough style, and i think that slows me down. It makes me panic because my speed of doing an F2L case is slow because it was catchy due to my rough turning style. I thing tps should be spoke about more in cubing because, ive only just started to notice how important your speed of your solves are.
Ack that last bit was my weakness
just got a Gan 354 M, my average went from 20 seconds to sub18 and my new PB is 11.91.
Well that really help on LL but now I gotta train my lookahead.
