Being a successful actor was probably the worst thing that could happen to him. People like him have a pretty fragile sense of themselves, often unable to separate their work from their personal life. It's kind of like Kurt Cobain, if he had stayed a Seattle garage band and not been famous, he'd probably still be alive...

I loved his text , monologue/ dialogue in the DARK KNIGHT … his performance there was overall PRICELESS, truly, in my opinion, he deserves like 2 Oscars and to be on Hollywood s Walk of Fame for like eternally… His Joker , man … it was something else , it was outta this world.. I have seen it like a thousand times and still can’t get enough of it… Kudos to you Heath , you will sure as h*** , rest in never ending peace ✌️ ! I will join ya up there , but not yet …

I'd love for him to be my father. When I listen to his story, it's like I'm seeing a father who is trying to over come life for his child, even though that might not be the case. Then as time passes by, he get's wiser. He sees the child or children grow and when they have a problem, he's there to give them the comfort or truth he himself had to figure out. "Life isn't pretty, but you can make it gorgeous", I picture he'll say. "Thanks dad. I love you", will be given in return......Thank you Heath.

If alive he would have arguably been the greatest actor of this generation.
Only from his very few performances he proved to be one of the greatest.
What he did with Joker was phenomenal.. Like he completely changed his looks, persona, voice and even his age.

Aussie here. This was/is so heartbreaking. I still remember where I was, waking up. Mum saying I have bad news. ( she knew I loved him since him in the lead of ‘two hands’. ( watch it! Amazing! Shoulda eat more credit) I cried! We love when our aussies rule the Hollywood scene. Every great movie I watch now I think.... Heath could do it. Gah! I see - Cohen brothers, guy Ritchie films, directing, supported Australian films. His life wasn’t tragic. His death was.

I watch the Dark Knight at 8, I wanna watch it because of Batman and nothing else; obviously I didn’t watch it completely (or at least didn’t know all the details)
For some reason the scenes that I remember at that age were:
-Batman appearances and in the Batcave
-Joker: from the bank heist, the car chase, the interrogatory, the explosion of the hospital & the climax of the prisoner dilemma (The boats) and not to mention the last scene with Batman & Gordon.
In a nutshell; I think that that even the first time I didn’t appreciate the Dark Knight as I do now; the fact that I remember every scene that Heath appeared it was so excellent and I’m never going to forget his job
    RIP Heath “Joker” Ledger
