No other female group could ever be as good as these ladies. They had so much talent together and I wish they would get back together. Amazing talent especially Acapella
Yes it was like I said a thousand times before there is no one stand out in this group they all are incredible singers and entertainers and if you can pin point a bad one in envough something is wrong with you😂
One of the best R&B groups of all time. So underrated and unappreciated as a group, and so unequivocal, by today's standards. Music is not like it used to be; producing quality. I grew up, during the late 80's, early 90's, and music then, still had a detached purity and elegance to it. I miss it. Now-a-days, it's disgusting, you just have to look good, period, and they can find someone to play and sing for you. There is a vast amount of quantity, and very little quality.
Dang! There is no one even close to what En Vogue was and probably never will be as well! These Sisters can flat out blow! And Beautiful as well! They need Music like this in today's world!
I disagree their "foremothers" were equally gifted and competent with each member having a very strong lead voice (in fact three 'em of released solo album). There styles were a bit different from a different era. I'm told I've met 3 of each group (pre fame), I only remember meeting Cindy and her sister Carmelita (sp?). The other group from Oakland (SF Bay Area): ruclips.net/video/sT1m_p7snws/видео.html
@@monamoye4817 I love Cindy. Her and Terry were always my favorites early on. That does not take away from Dawn and Maxine though. They are all amazing.
Yes, they all can sing but the one that stood out the most was Cindy then Terry and the rest could have waited for their opportunity like what the Temptation did when they decided to go solo. If they made a movie about En Vogue, Paula Patton would be perfect to play Cindy.Peace out!!!
Nah, Maxine has a dynamic voice. She gave their harmony much needed flavor! Her voice was strong and boisterous w/ a touch of gospel. They couldn’t have pulled it off without her!
Ron Muhammad Well nobody chose to pursue a solo career so nobody "Could Have Waited". Terry was chosen to record a solo album in 1995, which replaced what was supposed to be En Vogue's 3rd album. Dawn was supposed to record one but it was scrapped for EV4, which became EV3 because Dawn left, due to management issues. So again nobody "Could Have Waited". Sylvia Rhone fucked up En Vogue
See now this girls can sing there ass off every single one of them what happened to this era of music plus in this video she sounds a little bit better well that's my opinion
In my 30 odd years, this is probably the first time I've actually loved an all live performance. I usually prefer the studio versions because they are crisp and organized....but this performance was just amazing.
GREAT upload. I spend waaaay too much time surfin the 'tube for vintage clips of my GIRLS and your clips just added another good hour to it. THANKS!!!!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SOOOOO GLAD U UPLOADED THIS PERFORMANCE!!! I made my parents record this and the "Part of Me" performance. I then i dubbed over the tape recently. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
@@ScarletThotTerry sings lead in the a capella intro (the sample of Smokey Robinson/Jackson 5's "Who's Loving You.") When the beat kicks in Cindy takes over lead. All this is to say that the original commenter wanted to know who's singing the top harmony notes during the **intro**.
That's what I call live singing... Real voices. Not lip singing
Terry is a BEAST! I saw them live last year and she still turns out this intro 25 years later.
The opening to Hold On is one of the best vocal performances in the history of popular music. Undeniable!
I agree

How great is it to see 4 terrific ladies performing and all the fans into in dancing instead of on their phones like 90% of fans do now.
They all have very distinctive voices 😍
She's sounds even better live than in the studio, which is rare.
The absolute epitome of a Girl group. They were the whole package and this performance is only one of the few examples. Smh.
This is LIVE music... not no damn prerecorded mess!!
The Best Female R&B Group of all Time!!! Period!!! Why? Because they all can Sing they ASS OFF!!!!!!
I agree ❤️
Not only did they all sing their ass off but know how to take the background and blend and harmonize their asses off
They all can hold it down as lead
No, Terry Just Sings The Beginning Of "Who's Loving You," But Cindy Always Sung The Verses Of "Hold On".....
This is the ONLY lineup of En Vogue that I acknowledge! These ladies couldn’t be touched. Their voices meshed so well together!
Yes! They were such a great group! I hate they split up. I still wish they would get together and make some more wonderful hits!
Terry has the best voice, could have had a successful solo career (her solo album had mediocre material though)
Thats a fact. Not many people know this though.
Cindy had a great voice as well

Fuckin epic.
i preferred the outfits they were wearing in the official video, to be honest :D

I agree Paula patten should play cindy herron. She Does Has The look

Either paula Patton or the actress from coming to America

Dawn definitely had that it factor but the gift is they all sang they faces off and brought something special to the group never another

raw talent artist don't sing anymore too much lipsync that's why I love old school soul and r and b
We need this CLASS and music today 2022!!!!!
Now this is real music. I love En Vogue.
now that's what you call singing!!
THIS BEAT WAS EVERYTHING WHEN THIS CAME OUT - A bigger hit in NY than Cali
In my 30 odd years, this is probably the first time I've actually loved an all live performance. I usually prefer the studio versions because they are crisp and organized....but this performance was just amazing.
En vogue harmony (Cindy ↔️ dawn depends on who leads) followed be terry and max
These are the original members that were in the video Cindy always sang lead terry does the intro of who's lovin you

Wow All of Them Have Great Voices.
They was so talented no lip singing that's amazing. Real music
En Vogue were dope.
BEST GIRL GROUP IN MY TIME....
You got to hold to your love ,it's 2020 I'm still listening to this music .
is Dawn singing the top part in the beginning while Terry is leading?
Yes
Cindy is singing lead

Dawn is killing me at the beginning of this
KILLED IT
yes that's dawn
At :43 I wanted my hair swirled around on my head like that so bad. Lol
This my era! 14yrs old then! Took me Bk!
1990
Terry was the prettiest.
In my opinion, Cindy is the prettiest

The outfits are cute
That was GREAT
I used to watch this on repeat after I taped it on vhs. Lmao
Yeah they were. Too bad we don't see that anymore! SMH

Me too. From watching little clips on their first VHS tape Born To Sing. Me and my friend would watch it and be like "dag! What show was that?!!!"
Perfect 🥰
Omg. This was so good... 🙌🏼
Its the reason why I like her voice lol
Who said “Hurry up” at 1:10??
Montrey Sounded like Cindy
sounded like dawn said “all right”
@@tupacsheart504 Somebody said "alright".
" _alright_ "
I'm Sorry ... I meant one of the MANY examples.
In the video I thought the other girl sang lead not this lightskin one
Wait i was young win dis came out but did da switch a girl out
Wait shouldn't the short hair girl be singing the lead vocals
Do you know what year this was?
now why did dawn tell her to hurry up in the beginning 😭
She said “alright” as in “ you better sing girl”
Spectacular.........
What does she say at 4:05?
ICONIC!!!!
Incredible performance. I love Cindy's voice, she's the best. _Hold On_ is her song, she gave much Soul and groove.
Ok..this video confirmed it but I honestly don't like Cindy's voice! Its so nasally
