MINI Cooper Vacuum Pump Replacement DIY (2007-2012 R56 MINI Cooper, Cooper S, JCW)

►The R56 MINI Cooper's vacuum pump is essential for safe operation. Its purpose is to deliver constant vacuum pressure to the brake booster, so the pedal is firm but pressable without strain. As a critical part of the braking system, replacing the vacuum pump in your MINI should be done as soon as possible when found to be working improperly.
A failing vacuum pump is characterized by a hard brake pedal and leaking oil from the pump. They mount to the back of the engine and are driven off the back of the camshaft. The oil seals inside the pump and sealing against the engine can fail, causing an oil leak. In the worst cases, the pump can seize, wrecking the camshaft and other valvetrain bits in the area. Luckily, replacement is straightforward.

Really good work once again , i have watched all the mini cooper s r56 videos on both channels. I would be interested to see a transmission fluid change on the "lifetime" oil it has MTF-94 on mine at least, plastic water pump assembly change and a guide for how to clean the intake at home without walnut blasting but making it better. Thank you
