    I absolutely love that your an intervention teacher doing a classroom/area set up! We have a break out/intervention room we share (2 classes) and I’m always looking for videos on how to just make it more inviting - this is the first one I’ve seen that helps. Thank you!

      I'm a Math interventionist and I share with Speech. It's both challenging and so fun to share a space.

      That's awesome to hear that other interventionists are sharing too! So far, it has been fun to collaborate as we set up.

    Thank you for sharing. It is hard to find interventionist/coaches who set up and show what they are doing. I will definitely be following along with you as this is my first year as a coach!

    I was just hired on as a math interventionist and you have no idea how helpful it was to see your space! Thank you so much for sharing it - I can’t wait to see the rest!!

    I almost cried thinking somewhere someone’s kids get to go into a well thought out space like this. Incredible.

    Love it! Do you remember where you found the first aid container and the plant pots with the glasses ... So cute!

    • @theliteracyteacup4567
      @theliteracyteacup4567  2 года назад +1

      The first aid container came from Home Goods and the pots are from Green Acres... I am pretty sure!

      That's so sweet! Thank you! Yes, the fluorescent lighting is awful! I'm hoping nobody objects to me taking the bulbs out haha.

    I have cinder block walls so it’s so hard to put anything up. I too am a reading interventionist so looking forward to following you on here. Have a great school year!

      Thank you! I hope you have a great year too. Cinderblock is definitely tricky. Do command strips work on it?

    I am so excited to see a reading interventionist classroom setup. Even more exciting to see how you set up a shared room because that’s relatable for many of us! How do you plan on using those Michael’s rainbow photo keeper boxes? I have 3 sets and trying to decide if I want to hold onto them or let them go!

    • @theliteracyteacup4567
      @theliteracyteacup4567  2 года назад

      Yes! I had such a hard time finding any other rooms to look at, so I hope more people start posting intervention or shared rooms! Right now, those photo boxes hold some of my center activities from first/second grade. I'm not entirely sure if I will lend them to teachers or put something else in them at some point.

    Hi. I'm a reading interventionist who is moving classrooms (again!) I enjoyed your set-up videos. You've probably mentioned this already, but where can I get those phonics patterns hexagons? Thanks!!

    I absolutely love your set up! I’m a junior in college majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Reading Education. I’m wanting to start out as a general classroom teacher however I do see myself possibly working as a reading interventionist as well. If you don’t mind me asking what qualifications are required for the role (I.e. degrees, licenses) and where can you find positions to apply for? Thank you so much, looking forward to your next classroom set up video!

    • @theliteracyteacup4567
      @theliteracyteacup4567  2 года назад +3

      That is awesome! I wish I would have minored or learned more about reading instruction during undergrad! I am finishing up a masters degree in Reading & Literacy Instruction this fall, so then I will have my Reading Specialist credential. However, you may be able to work as a reading interventionist with just your teaching credential depending on the school.

    Your reading area is so cute! I also have a small reading intervention room and this video has helped me so much. Thank you for posting. How are things going? Is there anything you would do different now that you've been in the room a while?

      I am so not the person to ask this, haha! I know I have a goldfish plant and a string of pearls. I'm not totally sure what the other ones are... If you haven't already checked out @mrscallscampers on Instagram, she has a great post on classroom plants. I will be happy if I can keep these alive!
