Last week was the 2016 Ferrari World Finals in Florida which I made a last minute decision to attend and I'm very happy I did! I have a LOT of content I'll be posting over the next week which I hope you enjoy. I had the opportunity to mount my GoPro in this insanely fast Ferrari FXX K which is the racing version of the LaFerrari. What strikes me is how chill the engine is at 7000 rpm! To have one of those V12's for a project car would be insane.
Anyone else besides me notice that on the same screen below the tac, is a real time map of the race course that also shows the car's position on the track and turns coming up?

I did as well actually. Just like a live time map of a race course on a Need for Speed Xbox game. Interesting how accurate it was...

That steering wheel is as smooth as you can get. Not fighting it at all. He looks like hes just strolling through the neighborhood...at 140+mph. That car is incredible.

Sweet dude. Your a lucky guy. I remember sitting in some pretty expensive cars at Road America when I was a kid. My dad took his 1970 detomaso Mangusta to the Silver State classic Nevada Open Road Challenge. I remember riding in the same vehicle at Road America with my dad and we reached about 120 to 150mph. and being a seven-year-old that's pretty cool.
This is awesome. I love when he goes on the speedway and it tilts full out. Amazing.

Just as something to improve on next time, you could do with adjusting the camera's exposure to the outside of the car through the windscreen, rather than the interior.
As at a lot of the outside (what we want to see) is washed out, like @ 1:40

I just had a media pass but since I ended up having my GoPros mounted on one of the 333 SPs I was able to walk around pit lane without many issues.
+Speedracer38 ah ok so next time I should get a media pass and attach a GoPro to a car for full access?
Are you actually media though? You have to apply for a pass and usually attach examples of your work and which organization you're with, you can't get a media pass just for having a GoPro.

This was over 200Mph? What a privilege it must have been to drive such a car. I cannot even imagine what it was like sitting in a car like that let alone driving a car that costs multiple millions.
Which setting do you use on your GoPro? Have you enabled the SpotMeter?

This particular track routing would confuse a NASCAR driver. There are RIGHT TURNS in it. What is a right turn, the NASCAR driver asks?

How original, perhaps you're forgetting that a NASCAR driver was in the Ferrari Challenge race.

Dang that is so cool! I brought my gopro with intentions to get lucky enough to stick it in someones car but sadly it didn't happen. Awesome video.
Which day did you go? I met quite a few drivers in the XX Programme who were very cool and wouldn't have had a problem mounting a gopro in their car when they went out on track.
That is so awesome! I just went on Friday, originally I wanted to go all weekend but had other things going on Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks for sharing great footage! Just a shame the overexposure blowing out much of the track, the interior could easily have handled lowering 1 - 1 1/2 stops.
Now here's my incredible FXX-K memory to share from Daytona probably mere hrs before this was shot. Great stuff for any avid petrol head/Ferrari fan like myself! Even tho I practically grew up in that amazing spdwy & work special events there, it was HUGE.
I just completed the 4-day wknd Turkey Run Classic Car Show in there, & clearly as luck had it got asked back to help that Monday. Why not, I said(sometimes cool things happen when it's a ghost town - I also knew the Ferrari show was that wknd). Little did I know my luck!
Hopping in my car to leave a bit earlier than expected by pure chance, I round the bend at the garages & lo and behold casually sitting on the side of the road all by themselves like F'ING red unicorns sat THREE of these one behind the other! Windows down. Not a human in sight for hundreds of yds. Hmmm. Should I?
Though I know my Ferraris, I actually wasn't even sure what they were just knew it was HUGE. And COOL! Clearly never would've happened if the public was in there. Ultimately, I had these 3 lovely ladies ALL TO MYSELF FOR 20 MINUTES. Every minute I oogled, the more special I realized they and that moment were! A weird scene, like a huge crowd had left(they had) leaving behind 3 conspicuous, huge 24k gold bricks!
Ironically, though a pro photog I didn't have my good camera only my phone but made the most of it got great shots(but that much delicious how can you not?!)
Then just as surreal, 3 sharp-dressed guys in red Ferrari polos not a single word or glance came & fired them(of course I'd switched to video!) & like spaceships wisked them off into tiny dots in space & zoomed behind the far garages. It was as if their secret had been found out, or a cussing came over the radio to move them there's a guy out there about to hump them! 😂
As it turned out, my bday was that Sunday & consisted of the entire day out there in Ferrari heaven. But that's another story!
My big ? is which # car is in this video clip I'd think it was 1 of the 3 I drooled on????

meatball1020 the watch isn't over the jacket...he's wearing a wristband of similar color below the watch. The elastic band for the jacket ends before the watch.

observation:
1) The buy in cost is $3 mil or so? The buyer just gets driving privilege's.
2) The car always returns to Ferrari after each "drive day". You cannot take it home.?
3) They just bring it to the events fully prepped and fully gone over?
4) 4-5 Ferrari - guys are assigned to each car for the day?
5) Your track day event costs $60 grand or so?
6) You wife flies with you, she goes shopping, you have a nice weekend trip basically?

Fuck me, that had to be one of the coolest sounding engines ever! This is why the likes of Formula E will just never cut it until they get the sound sorted. Who cares how fast they go when they sound like shit.

This is a fact. The Ferrari Fxx k has the most powerful naturally aspirated engine. V12 and with an 849hp

What an amazing sound from that Ferrari engine curious is the passenger a VIP Ferrari customer and potential buyer for this car and is that why they have a professional driver driving the car to show its capabilities

At higher rpms inside the cabin it kind of sounds like a Ducati with stock exhaust at high Rpms like that kinda low pitched vibration sound
So who was driving this FXX K?? Nice fun hot laps on the banked turns. That track is soooo much fun.!!! I wish they removed the chicane on the back stretch

Oh nice! I know the World Finals won't be back to Daytona soon but there are some great events coming up like the 24 hour race which I might come out for.
