very interesting watch! I, too have built some of these classic matchbox kits back in the 70's, although in those days the bases would simply get a slap of brown/sand colour paint and i would call them done! right now I have the matchbox char B/ FT 17 matchbox kit in a revell box in my stash, and after seeing what you've done here that might be my next project.
@@ModelkitStuff I'll look out for that! another thing, its funny that you called that officer figure Rommel, as the matchbox Afrika Korps figures have one officer in a very similar pose (holding binoculars though) that I always called Rommel to the point where I painted the letter "R" on the underside of his stand way back in about 80/81 and i managed to keep him right through to today, still with that "R" painted on!
Excelent video. I built the same Matchbox figure more than 40 years ago. As well built several matchbox airplanes... beautiful memories

I'm 54 now,and Oh how I miss these kits,
Most are still available through Revell 👍🏻
i have a matchbox model kit "wespe" scale 1:72 its been 30 years now still on display😊😊
For your information ; the "Level" number on the Revell boxes have nothing to do with SKILL-level, but with the number of parts in the kit.
41:16 Admire your weathering expertise Jason.
Thanks Ron, when I was younger and messed up I would cover it up with battle damage or mud, so I have had lots of practice. 😆
nice
