Finally, someone with my texture that has achieved health and growth! I just found your channel and it's a Godsend. I was ready to quit this natural stuff and go back to the "creamy crack." It's tough to maintain but I don't want to give up a year of growth from a big chop. Thanks for the info. ☺
First of all, you have such a lovely smile and you're always smiling. You are so upbeat. I love the dancing outro. Thnx for sharing your personality. And your hair rocks.
Your smile and personality are infectious! It's great to see you embracing your 4c hair and having fun with it! This is what the natural hair journey is all about!
Wow, how your hair is growing! I'm finally moving ahead from my twa stage and it's great to see the styles you present. Thanks for another great video!
Thank you so much!! You have made me fall in love with my 4c hair! I have been struggling for years and am so glad I've found you!! Thank you thank you thank you
Hey Girl thank you so much for the video your smile is always refreshing and your hair has got some serious hang time now! Congratulations on your hair health and growth and keep the videos coming!
I love it! Oh just a side note. When you are ready to tackle those gray hairs look into the hair dye from Shea Moisture. If your Target does not carry it check online. It is free from ammonia and it is not harsh like the commercial dyes out there. I have been using this dye since last year once I was ready to tackle my gray hairs...lol. Again loving your hair!
I was about to give up on my hair because I was enjoying better when it was shorter. What I live about your channel Is you show real examples. Like just going to bed without a 30 minutes of working the hair and waking up letting steam and a tlc start tour day. Thanks to you I won't be buying a relaxers in the morning.
This is really cute and easy. I really like the way that your hair turned out. I have 4c hair and I will have to try this look. Thank you for the wonderful video/tutorial. :)
Girll you better werk! LOL I love the way you work with your hair texture...you are so funny and beautiful, too. Just the thing I need to cheer me up after a long day teaching college:)
Girl you are such a beam of light!! I love your videos and feel happier after having watched them. You are an inspiration for girls/women with type 4c hair! Keep on rocking!! Btw are you from Texas? I swear you sound like Beyonce, yall have similar pronunciation of words and voice tone lol.
LOL! Those were some matrix moves with the mist! I LOVE the mist from the bottle. Where did you get it from? I need one! I have some bottles but they spray in a single stream and I need more of a mist to get even water distribution!
Great video. PS. Henna for the gray hair works very nicely (just in case you wanted to try something gentle that will get the job done). It turns my gray hairs a copper color. I don't really notice a difference in the rest of my hair. Henna is supposed to be conditioning so it does not harm your hair at all.
Rockin' the hair and rockin' to that song, lol. Very cool and simple method to achieve this style. Your hair looks like it has grown a lot, though I know you say your hair draws up a lot.
Your hair has really grew a lot! Lol but the shrinkage is real. I would love to see you do some more styles with your natural hair. (Love your hair btw.)
Oh my gosh! I love this video! You did an awesome job! I used to always tell my mom I wanted an afro like Cleopatra Jones (super old school, but I'm 21! Lol), now that my hair is long enough, I HAVE to do this style! Thxs for this post! :-)
you are so beautiful. I have 4c hair too and it doesn't grow.. It's been one year and a half but my hair is still 3 inches long. it always shrinks and break. I wish to get a pretty afro as yours. you inspire me. I just decided to go natural after I watched your videos. I just love you sister.
you are just amazing, funny, beautiful and fun to be with... awesome tutorial.. u are always so lively and ur personality is so infectious. i always laugh and smile throughout always ur videos and thats cos u are doing same to..... u are loved by us hun
No lie I stretched my hair to the max last night and surprised by how big my fro was i was groovin' to my tunes as if I went back to the 70s like you at the end of your video haha! Fros are Fierce!
Hi. I have to say I absolutely Love your videos! You and your family have such a sweet spirit and are truly a joy to watch! Everytime I watch your videos it puts a smile on my face! ...Well, I am writing because I've been natural about a year now and my hair has grown well in length but I am seeing breakage and it seems to be increasing. :'( I am beginning to get discouraged because I went natural because perm just didn't seem to work and I had breakage with it, so its very disheartening to see it with my hair natural. Have you experienced this and do you have any suggestions?
Thanks so much for your support! I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying the videos! :) I'm sorry that you are experiencing breakage. It can be caused by so many things... hair tools, not enough moisture, too much moisture, not enough protein, too much protein, poor diet/hydration, allergic reaction, harsh manipulation, and so on. :/ I will link some videos that I think can help out when dealing with breakage. Learned so much from this video, can you tell where you found your satin scrunchies? I can see they will much less damage to the hair because there is no exposed elastic for the hair to get tangled in. Thanks.
Awww your hair is so cute! I make my own scrunchies, my sis and friend then come along and help themselves to them so I have to make more, lol. I like the little scarf idea. I've been thinking of trying that. I'll be making my own. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Kriss this is wonderful...I love the result you look great gal...I'm loving the RAW FUNK who is the artist? What a cute puppy muah..don't cry Leo :)
Nice! I would probably skip out on it because one you re mist your hair to rebrand or rebraid, it will still be enough in there. Sometimes I add a super tiny bit in the morning before a shower to refresh a wash and go or something . But anything with humidity and that product causes shrinkage and fluff lol. It's definitely a trial and error thing :D
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair and the DANCING! Just to cool lady! Question...when you say "old twist out", does that mean you just twist your hair every night without product? Or do you use the same thing in your hair every night after you wash?
Thanks!! I mean a twistout that's a couple days old. It can be one that was retwisted or not :) Sometimes I add product and sometimes I don't depending on how my hair is feeling. Oh gosh your hair is so beautiful! Just wondering, what do you do to prevent breakage? Just this morning I realized that a small section on the left side of my head has almost completely fallen out O.o
Thank you soo much!! :) To prevent breakage, I just really try to keep my hair moisturized and clean (I cowash 2-3 times a week). I also keep up on my dusting and trims. I try to finger detangle and do low manipulation styles as much as possible too. My hair tends to look different all the time due to shrinkage and weather lol. You look so beautiful lol made me miss my hair but I'm forever a buzzcut lover lol oh yes and great technique. How do you like the leavein conditioner? I was thinking of getting the curling cream and pudding from the Eden line for my twa.
Thank you!!! Love the video out of all the products you us which one works better on your hair
Thanks! I actually like to choose things that work well together when I'm doing a style. :) So currently the leave in, creme and pomade work awesome together for twistouts. The souffle always adds plumpness to my hair when paired with a multitude of other things in my stash. I use it as an enhancer :D
Here's how the twistouts come out with the products :D
