Thanks! I currently tend to re cowash my hair regardless of the style about every 4-5 days. However for fully shrunken styles like this I would only wear it for a couple days. I prefer stretching my wash and gos into mid size fros the most like in my stretched wash and go videos. I can go a few more day with those.
don't know if I already mentioned but I bought the avocado butter after watching you use it. Mine is the same brand but harder (house must be too cold). it melts my hair like crazy too. I loved the headband, going to be checking the dollar store for it.
Annmarie busu Yeah some people said the same thing. I think it depends on whether or not it's cold pressed or not. Also certain sellers may whip it up more or something... All three of my batches were slightly different but none were ever too firm to get out and they all were soft and easy to work with. :)
I have 4c hair as well and I just wasn't feeling As I Am. I also can't get down with washing my hair altogether. I need my sections lol. Maybe I'll give it another try after watching this video. I also tried a wash-n-go but I used a comb to really make my coils pop but I've never tried your method. I may give it a shot. Thanks!

Hi there....I've had "natural" hair for over 8 years now. I did my chop 7 years ago and loc'd my hair. It was long and heavy...so about 2 weeks ago I cut them to ear length and tirelessly combed out what was left. I was going on vacation so I got a cornrow up do..I'm looking forward to handling my truly natural hair next week. My question is....I notice in the beginning of your videos you used VO5 & some store brand products? For budget friendly folks (like me) those are awesome. And it seemed they worked for you. Do you use them anymore? I see in your more recent videos, you're using more of the higher end natural products. Any preference?
LaToya Darden I still use things like suave natural and my aloe vera gel. (I would still be using tresemme if they didn't change the formula lol. I stopped using vo5 because brands like eden bodyworks and as I am started working better for my hair. They also had better ingredients... I still think vo5 is good though. :)

How do you like the As I am Co wash? I have some; I seriously loathe the build up. It takes forever to completely wash it out. I love the leave-in conditioner though.
I swear by the As I Am Co Wash but I also use their Cleansing Pudding one time a month to get rid of all the build up. Then I deep condition with their Hydration Elation. I also use their Double Butter Cream and their leave in. I love all their products!

I think 4c hair soaks up water as compared to other hair textures. That's why it needs more moisture to tackle breakage

Try the giovanni tea tree conditioner as a co wash, it feels great & tingly on the scalp & has the most amaZing slip ever
