Hey Kriss! :-) Ms. Fro looked so pretty and happy lol....And you are so right braidouts can take a lot of time, but the results are worth it (Beautiful). I'm glad you found the right combo for Ms. Fro. Take care and God Bless! :-)
I love your hair! You're my daily inspiration from your hair progress (which has been very successful!) to your home life and amazing family! I love it, I love it, I love it!!
It turned out nice! I haven't done a braid out in so long because the longer my hair gets the longer it takes to remove them. I have pretty much eliminated oils on my hair as well, mainly use them on scalp when in protective style mode or I add them to conditioners.
Love that on you!! Braid outs to me are great theoretically, but you're right; they take soo long to take out! I've recently been enjoying rodded flat twist outs; I think you'd like them too! Usually I do about 14-16 twists & then I wrap them around flexirods once they're damp & leave until dry. It resembles my natural curl pattern, but I get much more fullness. FTOs don't take long once you practice a bit, & for us with fine strands, it virtually eliminates that annoying middle part that can occur with regular twist outs or braid outs!
Thank you!! :D I've only managed to do one flat twistout but it took me waayy to long because I'm so clutzy with the technique lol and they looked awful but the definition was still nice :D
wow, your hair has grown!!! whatever methods/product you use are working because your hair is growing and looks happy and moisturized...lovely head of hair!
You are fabulous! and your hair looks great too. Thanks. I cant do coconut products but Im sure I can achieve the same look with what I use. Thanks for the idea.
Girl I feel ya on those braid/plait outs! I don;t do them cause they frustrate me! It seems so timing consuming... putting then in and taking them out! LOL! But never the less, great tip for transitioners and it looks FAB on you, as usual! ;-)
Love the vid, second time watching. Just stopped by to let some of my favorite naturalistas and beauty divas know that CVS is having their SHEA MOISURE BOGO this week! Yaay! Hope this helps, God bless.
Your hair looks great. This is why I don't throwaway a product after a failed hairdo attempt because I eventually go back to it and try it in a different way. I am noticing my hair likes the combination of different products and not just once product by itself. I use to keep a hair journal but stopped but I think I will go back to keeping one so that I can continue to write down what works and what doesn't as well as the results of the style.
If you're still trying to use products that already have oils, try the As I Am product line. I can't remember if you may already have tried them but they leave the hair very well moisturized. I have used the shampoos, cowash, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner, twist defining cream and the smoothing gel. They work well together and I've never been displeased with the results.
Hey, great video! I have very thick hair and I've never chemically treated it. I want to rock my natural hair but it's difficult because i haven't yet found a RUclipsr with hair quite as thick and dense as mine. I think my hair would be 5c if that existed! What RUclipsr had the thickest hair you have ever seen? Oh, and also my hair is long. I keep it in box braids so I don't have to fuss over it, but when I take it out it's like BAM! 6 inches of new growth! Idk what to do with all of it!
I do about six cornrows so that the roots are tamed. Then I roll the ends so they almost look like a bantu knot and use ponytail holders to keep them in place. This gives the hair the same pattern from root to tip and gives you waves instead of frizz at the roots. :)
It looks great. I noticed a while ago that using oils in my hair is a no go. i do better using a light to heavy leave in and a styler. My hair holds moisture for days. I am definitely going to try this style though. It is pretty sexy!
I def would try a braid out again, it was a very good method for transitioning, but I found it not helpful when fully natural. However, I think I would try a braid out with large section. For the Eden body works, the curl creme works solo, no oil or leave in, and on basically dry hair. Thanks for doing this one! It looks great on you! I see that hang time!!!!
Another great video; wish there was a youtube function to slow it down. Have you found a specific product to add shine to your hair. My biggest challenge is drab-looking 4C hair.
Thanks! (I try to cover as much as possible in a short amount of time that way it answers a lot of questions already within the video that people may have :D ) I get tons of shine from Oyin burnt sugar pomade, Jane carter nourish and shine, grapeseed oil, and now Carol's daughter mimosa hair honey (just got it lol)
Thanks!! I have several skincare vids on the channel :D Here are some: These are the steps of my skin regimen. However since my skintone has evened out more, I now use the baking soda a couple times a week all over and treat the areas that need it specifically as needed. Thank you for another great video. I'm going to try this without the oil. I think you have something there, I can't get a good curl to save my soul. I use a lot of oil so that could be my problem. I'll let you know how it turns out!!!!
Your hair turn out great you did an amazing job. Thanks for sharing and btw are those Eden products sold at Wal-Mart if so I think I would love to try them out. Be Blessed:-)

Another Hit Girl. I love Eden Body Works! I have to invest in that Brown Sugar Pomade 👍
When I take my braids out I get a lot of frizz, I have to try your product combo!
It turned out nice! I haven't done a braid out in so long because the longer my hair gets the longer it takes to remove them. I have pretty much eliminated oils on my hair as well, mainly use them on scalp when in protective style mode or I add them to conditioners.
Awesome! :D
