As a big petrolhead and someone who also enjoys watching a good police chase, I'd honestly love to see more reactions to police chases on this channel.
I remember I was at a meetup va beach and everyone was talking about this guy. He definitely missed his calling as a pro driver.
can we get a "stupidity in motion" shirt?
YeAh ThAt WoUlD bE So CoOl!! 🤪
@@kc550it’s cool once you accept that you’re stupid, you should try it sometime
@sesh3508 WOW, YOU'RE SO CLEVER AND COOL 😀😀😀
@@kc550 No I’m not, nor would I pretend to be like you 🤡
@@kc550Damn right it would be cool
I remember that chase!
If you're going to run, you must be 95% sure you can get away and 100% committed . V6 Mustang here .
Full send or no send🙏
I remember watching this on early RUclips and had respect for the driving skills. However it was cut so I never saw the ending and I am a little gutted he didn't get away.
I reckon the police were trying to make an example of him after making them look incompetent so slapped a bunch of extra offences onto him which his defense went, "Nah, we got this."
“I'm gutted he didn't get away”
I dunno, maybe you shouldn't start police chases to begin with.
@@r0b3rt_959you must be fun at parties
@@r0b3rt_959 Both can be true.
I'm curious, how many chases end up with someone getting away? Seems like it never happens.
@@iviaverick52 It happens quite often. They just don't show those chases very often as it goes against the narrative that you can't get away.
Oh trust me, a LOT of people knew about this chase. I couldn't hop on an automotive message board without someone sharing this vid.
As a '94 GT owner, you sort of have to be ready for 360s at any time. Like, did it rain a week ago and there's at least 1 ppm water molecules left on the asphalt? Well, you touch the gas going around a corner, and you're spinning right round baby right round, like a record baby, right round, round, round. So you just kinda learn 😅
It depends on what kind of road surface you're on . Cement like they use on the freeways gets greasy greasy greasy . But if you're on asphalt you're a lot safer . That's why you see so many wrecks where people are entering a freeway and then instantly Wipeout . The roads leading up to the freeway weren't greasy so they get caught off guard .
I remember going to junk yards back in the 90s and the racks of Mustang GT engines from totaled cars.
I had a ‘98 Cobra, can confirm this has definitely happened to me before as well
I have a 2003 Mustang GT. She loves to spin. I once accidentally did a 360 in front of a GA state patrol and he didn’t even care 😂
Absolutely mate, I had this car. 1995 sapphire blue mustang gt, all 215 horsepower out of that modular motor! It felt fast to me lol. I was a sixteen-year-old fool that got to tinker with it and learn how to work on American pony cars (11 different American sports cars up til now, currently owning a 2018 Camaro). My 1995 mustang GT spun around so easily, it was so bad on even a half an inch of snow. I remember sliding and going belly-up in like a foot-and-a-half ditch
This chase is a classic! How is it possible that there's people with this interest that haven't seen it?
Ngl, he has skill
No he absolutely does. Guys practiced his ass off in that mustang, and it fkn paid OFF in the form of lifetime bragging rights
I've never wanted the bad guy to get away so bad and this Chase it was hilarious I remember watching it
I remember watching this years ago and my step father was absolutely dumb founded at the driving skill of the fella. As I am a bit older now and have had my fair share of driving I gotta say... Daymmmmmn that really was some skills, on the second PIT you see him turn into the slide the instant they touch his rear left.
That final PIT was 100% a "fuck this we're over it" kinda pit, roooough as hell :')
This one is going to be deep. I'm 51 years old. I've been a street racer since 1990. I remember all of these videos. When I saw this video i LMAO so hard I stared crying. This is the absolute FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN ON RUclips! YOU DESERVE AN AWARD
Mans hired the legend himself "Better Call Saul" .
Yep I remember this one, I honestly think I was cheering him on. Crazy how that works. 😁 Good video 👍
I live in OKC and my first reaction was like wow this dude had skills 🤯
I remember this video and was more shocked it was a V6 lol but mad wheelman skills
i remember that one too. and because of him, I started learning how to """drive""" I don't do things now like I did back then, but I never got caught....
Yeah I remember watching it. Think it was on Cops. Yes they broadcasted that show here in Norway. He did pretty good. Most seems to not handle a pit very well. If you grew up in Norway I guess you would used to go sideways due all our snow. I certainly has been sideways on snow more than once in a rwd car once or twice lol. Here police either block the road completly (mostly 2 lane road or 4 way near cities, or box you in like they do in the UK.
i had so many friends with sport bikes talk about outrunning the cops all the time. yeah easy enough on a bike especially when a lot of the cops just give up cause its more of a danger on the road to even chase a bike thats capable of 180 mph within seconds. to see guys in cars this skilled almost get away is such a bigger feat. i remember the ghost rider videos too. especially when he was in his subaru. shit was wild back then.
It’s not that hard you just gotta keep distance and break their line of sight
Haven't seen this chase in for ever. Unlocked some memories. I recall this bring one of the most wild chases you could find on youtube
Sounds like you need better/wider tires. I have no grip problems (unless i want to 😉) in my 2004 GT thats supercharged. I do have 315s in the rear, but Im also boosted.
I remember that chase. It was damn good!
I REMEMBER THIS...
The dude is a legend💯💯💯💯💯.
How is this video still a thing like 20yrs later? I remember seeing this on Scariest police chases when I was a kid
Same. I'm old. 🤣 I remember when the video just came out and I couldn't believe it. Was hoping he would have made it but could tell the cops were like alright enough is enough with embarrassing us 😂😂😂
I always wondered if you could add tire shredding spikes around the rear wheel wells, so that any car that tries to do a pit maneuver on you immediately gets their front tires ripped off. You could hide them inside the fender flares so they don't see them.
great idea
Just got a new sub my dude! Hunting for channels like this daily! Keep it up my guy!
Great video man! I’ve seen this chase video idk how many times, but I never knew anything more than “Mustang Runs From Police.” Really enjoyed seeing an actual breakdown of what happened! 👍😎 You’re awesome, Dude.
You didn’t know what was going on? Why? Because there is no transparency
@@Freedom_Rider915 All I saw before this was the chase clip w/ no audio. There was no context to go with it. For all I knew this was bts footage for some movie or somethin’. This was back in RUclips’s infancy; long before the original creators sold to google.
Great video to revisit i have vague memories of this. That ending got me excited to see you drift event TDIB!
I could see "stupidity in motion" on someones clapped out 240
FROM OKLAHOMA. SAW THE CHASE ON NEWS, AND I ROOTED FOR THE GUY. THOUGHT FOR SURE HE WOULD GET AWAY. YOUR BREAKDOWN WAS PRETTY DOPE.
I need a “stupidity in motion” shirt to wear on top of my motorcycle jacket 😂
Hey David i have been casually watching your channel since 2013. A lot of Car guy RUclipsrs fell off. I’m happy you’re still pushing
This video was awesome!
Just needed the Benny Hill theme and it would've been complete 🤣. That was pretty epic
A real wheelman.
If any other channel tried to do this content I don’t think I’d like it at all. Why do I love these videos!? Haha keep it up buddy
Lol I’ve seen this a long time ago! Crazy! I don’t think you noticed how at the end, it ended with a stop sign. 😂
I recall this chase video, I believe it was a V6... Yeah he definitely had skill, very impressive
I believe he mentioned it was manual too right?
@StockTurboN20 And that's correct, in certain close-up clips, you can see Driver shifting (especially after recovering from pits, when he'd have to jam it back into 1st lol)
@@VQSeries 😂😂 floppy 90’s 5 speed gotta love it, it has a longer throw than a Tractor
@@StockTurboN20 forreal lmao
As an Okie, I have seen this video a ton. It’s a classic.
Yesss
I remember when you collaborated with the VFX guys at Corridor Crew! Love that you got them out on a track!
I remember that chase, I had my 2007 Mustang GT back then and many of us in the Mustang Community were talking about this guy for month, he was legendary, now that I am in the Mopar community it is all about the ASP vs the undefeated Charger
I remeber seeing thise video reposted on every mustang forum back in the day...I'm old too 😅
Man love that video!
0:38 I can recognize that shot from Baby Driver immediately
that lawyer who reduced his 12 year sentence to 18 months might've been Saul Goodman
I remember that chase when I was younger, insane!!!
BEST Police Chase I remember was w/ a 1st Gen SCION xB...THat car was like a GoKart when being chased!....Should do a video on that Police Chase!
Funny. First time I saw this video there was old Jerry Reed singing over it. That brings me back
As a former owner of one one these but mine handled like it was on rails absolutely loved this video. But Still can’t believe it’s been 15 yrs.
I watched this live on KFOR when I was at work at the VA. We were all pretty riveted.
I lived in OKC when that chase happened. Dude is still talked about as a legend here.
I remember this from World’s Scariest Police Chases
Was that Kyle Busch...?!? Hahaha, HILARIOUS...!?! Thanks, keep up your awesomeness and don't forget to compliment someone today...
What a coincidence, I've just been binge watching World's Wildest police videos......yeah some mad lad posted all of it on RUclips.
This was a good video do more💪🏽
I have only ran from the cops once in my 22 years of life. It was actually in my first manual. A 2012 v6 mustang (which btw the 3.7 is underrated). But I was a week into learning manual and I was driving home from work. Passing an intersection by a gas station and I ment to shift from 2nd to 3rd but put it in neutral and rev bombed everyone around me. Previous owner had bbk long tubes and x-pipe and a roushe axle back so it was fairly loud. Cop was sitting at the gas station and pulled out. I had an expired permit (because I had seizures so I couldn't get my license yet) and a good 10 mile straight stretch ahead of me. I gunned it all the way home reaching 140 in some spots. It was scary, fun, and nerve racking all at once. I do not recommend you try it but if you do...its like doing crack for the first time😂😂😂
Been in a similar situation in my mustang, it really is a high like no other😂
@@bigd5035 funny coincidence after I commented this my best friend texted me this morning saying he got a speeding ticket and an exhaust fine on his turbo WS6 lol bro got cause doing test hits on the street. Cop wrote him up for doing 85 in a 55 but he told me he had it up to just under 160 before he past the trooper💀😂😂😂
Bro I remember you covering that blue mustang so long ago 😂
I remember this. Coolest thing i saw at the time. And yes, the suspension on that thing is not for performance. I had a 97 GT convertible.
The Hellcat outrunning the chopper was the best IMHO....
He didn't get away tho
My mustang group enjoyed this chase! This dude is legend!
SuperSpeeders Ford GT chase is still one of my faves
The best pit recovery was the pickup that rolled completely back onto its tires and kept going!
Who remembers the show called cops that was awesome back in the day
When I first seen this chase I thought, "He must be useing a manual transmission."
I really hope you upload a cosmic drift video. In texas and wont be able to see it live.
D A V I D! ! ! YOU NEED TO DO A PROPER SN95 REVIEW OF BOTH 94-95 and 96-98 COBRAS!
I laughed when I saw this video. The comments from the news station were hilarious in themselves
Once you mentioned the pit maneuver i immediately knew what video was coming
the officers had a BLAST this day, they still tell this story in the donut shop...
How do you talk so much?! You talk more than all my girlfriends combined!! And no one is even talking to you!! It’s amazing!!!!
I used to drive a ‘97 convertible with a V6, it was definitely slow but it did effortless J turns. Get a lil speed in reverse turn slightly and tap the brake, it pretty much did the rest by itself, as long as don’t miss your shift 😎
This ain't the movies...you not getting away!!
I remember that police chase it was in Oklahoma City flying down i-240 I was a kid when that was going on😊
I remember seeing that police chase. I was sorry the guy got caught in the end.
As soon as I saw it was “this chase” I was like, I have to watch this breakdown. I remember watching it as a young kid and being like, you can do that?!? That guy was a god we talked about lol, the fact that he got off in 18 months just adds to the story🤣
The PIT maneuver is the go to here in Oklahoma!!
ES TODO MI COMPA THAT DUDE IN BLUE, ESTA CHIDA SU PROGRAMA, SIGALE DANDOLE DURO!
FIERRRRROALV COMPADREEEEEE
David is there a link to this police chase? Because I love to see the whole thing.
Wish NV was closer to GA that drift event looks sick af I would def bring my IS300 or Supra out
first off that outro was gah damn insane
had the same wheels on my eclipse in the 90's
I remember that chase very well. It got re-uploaded with "Good Ol' Boys" by Waylon Jennings (Dukes Of Hazzard intro song) and I was quite impressed with the driver’s skill. Although I do not condone this type of behavior I found myself almost rooting for him 😂
The v6 motors in those mustangs were slower than a minivan but they were bulletproof
I suck at backing in to the left 😂 i always go passenger side and im in NYC 💀 guess im weird
Today i juat saw a yt vidoe on this guy on the a&e channel about "why i ran" 😅
This guy is the real drift king is 🇺🇸
That was crazy. Something I wouldn't try.
They literally snatched him right out of his shoes 😆
bros lawyer was Saul Goodman
I have seen it I've loved it since the old school RUclips days
I had this chase on my myspace page. 😁
Manual transmission and hitting the clutch to keep the engine from stalling makes a lot of difference
Ole boy probably has a nice job set up for after his sentence. That was some slick a$$ driving there.
I remember this from ebaumsworld back in 05ish..
I believe this guy was luke finks driving instructor back in the day. 😆🤙🏼
dudes a legend!
I know a few people that had been into some pretty nasty chases... Not to this extent but still did get a lot of time out of it. 20 years ago it was a lot different than today.
Just gotta outrun the radio or lose em in tight corners 🙏🙏
His lawyer was definitely Saul
Anyone who hasn’t seen this lives under a rock
He definitely called Saul.
