There was a kid that had graduated the year before me when I was in Junior year, and he came back to just say hi to my teacher( This was late 2000s, so schools werent as on edge about potential tragedies yet). And He had a red 04 cobra. A few of my classmates and me drooled over it sitting outside. It even made other faculty and passing students stare and check it out. I remember in 2003 I was hanging out at my local tuner shop and a guy rolled up in a Mystique Terminator to have it tuned. It put down 600whp. I was blown away and the dude did a couple passes down the road being Sunshine Speedway. Thats was one of my best car memories as a kid.

I remember seeing these on the lot back in 03 when my parents were car shopping. then later during the late 2000s, I'd watch videos of these doing insane burnouts and running from cops before going to school in the morning. Growing up in the 2000s was awesome if you were into cars.

@Ethan Vanderpool 32 valve 4.6 is no joke. I was legit scared driving my Mach 1 for the first time (1st time V8 owner). I almost felt sick using the so-stiff clutch during the rush hour traffic when driving it home, but it was so worth it 😂. Love my all-black Mach 1.

I always loved new edges but the terminator always held a special place. I wouldn’t settle for anything but a sonic blue coupe. This car hands down is the most frustrating car I’ve had because of all the little issues I’ve had to deal with but I have never smiled so much driving a car in my life. Your video of the black car 100% sold me that I had to own one some day.
Terminator ownership has been just the same for me. This car can be very frustrating, same as you, mine always finds little issues to give me. But when I drive it, it is so much fun, I'm addicted to it.
@@JordanSVT after I bought the car I found out it leaked oil from everywhere, it started leaking coolant from the water pump, and the rear diff leaked from the cover. I pulled the engine out and did a complete reseal and modded the tensioners and billet oil pump for 2 step, installed headers and a new clutch, completely rebuilt the rear diff with new gears, bearings and clutches. I polished the tail pipes and after I broke the rear end in I changed the fluid with royal purple and the rear diff started leaking out the vent and ruined my polish job on the pipes. I got it tuned and then I started having issues with the fuel pump cutting out lol. I’ve come so close to wanting to get rid of it and then I drive it and I have so much fun I can’t get rid of it. Very difficult car to own.
@@RecklessEnterainment When I got mine it started making a weird noise, turned out my tires were rubbing super bad in the rear, cutting into my tires. Then the car started killing batteries every week or two. I replaced the alternator, still killed batteries, replaced the terminals, still killed batteries, started doing a draw test on the battery and there was a significant draw on it. Turned out to be the Mach 460 amp fuse and fuse #39. I didn't know where to begin with fuse 39, until I found this 16 year old thread on some Mustang forums where they said to remove a wire under the dash and this would fix it with no known side effects, sure enough, it worked for me. The car bubbled all of its coolant out one time. Then my pilot bearing exploded, so I replaced a whole bunch of stuff in the transmission but then I had to get a new firewall adjuster, clutch quadrant, and cable with all that. All of that, and the car still has some minor things that need attention, but I just can't get rid of this thing. When I do get to drive it, it's just too good.

I've owned a 2003 and a 2004. My 04' made over 500whp and was an absolute blast to drive. Added some 315 BFG drag radials and it never spun on the street.
I remember one of my neighbors who lived three house down from me used to own an all murdered out Terminator and as I kid that was the baddest car to ever exist
My favorite mustang ever made. My uncle had 2 terminators and 2 sn95’s before I could remember anything but sold them when he had his first kid. My dad has a picture of him and his brother standing in front of them 🙌🏽
Hope your uncle gets one back 1 day
@@luismagana9784 he lives in AZ now so he’s in the PERFECT state to get a older mustang, no road salt, no cold weather, barley any rain.
Thank you soo much for another Terminator Cobra episode!!! I own a yellow zinc 2003 Terminator that has a refreshed motor 5k miles ago, arp head studs, 80lb injectors, JLT intake, Twice ported Eaton and a handful of other mods thats dyno at 473 whp & 489 wtq 🙂
All the terminator videos on streetfire is what made me fall in love with cars more and more everyday!
Same here!!
Man streetfire, that brings back so many memories
Omg I forgot about Streetfire! I posted vids of my old car there
David: "Terminated yo eardrums"
When I say I lost it 😭😭
The thing I remember the most is the super stiff clutch pedal. And missing second a few times. And the in car sound was absolutely perfect.
Heaviest clutch in a modern production car. 58lbs of force needed. Hydraulic assist came out next year
I had a mach 1 for a while and the clutch was stiff as hell.
Never forget the first time I saw a comp orange cobra in 2004, my buddies brother bought it. fast forward 19 years I now have a comp orange cobra :)
The pull at 6:07! You can see you have fun but quickly have to respect the car and get serious, that car is a beast!
The sound before the supercharger kicks in is amazing!!!
When I was in the military, after I got out of the dorms one of my roommates had a bright yellow 2003. These pull so hard and the supercharger whine is just on another level. They just don't make cars like they used to.
I will say I’m glad I was given the opportunity to own one of these amazing machines and I will never sell it either
Jordan’s black Terminator cobra review when it came out in 2014 was the one that got me hooked on car RUclipsrs and you were the first one I started to follow. Still my favourite car video to date 🤘🏻🤘🏻
The Terminator literally went head-up with the C5 Corvette.
If Pontiac/Chevrolet had released a high horsepower Camaro/Trans Am Firebird, Ford would had responded back
The Terminator was more potent than all but the 2002+ C5 Z06... a normal C5 had nothing for a terminator.
@@S8ERBS...in fact all of the LS1 cars had ETs and trap speed within a driver's race of a stock Terminator. The Z06 was a full half second and 5 mph quicker.
@@SpeedDemon88X Fair, but you can't put a smaller pulley on a LS1 :)
@@gforce_117 no but these days I can buy and build an F body and spend 1/4 of the money and beat one.
@@AlexPerkins252 You can if all you care about is being faster to say your faster. Can't get the same experience with a different car.
Terminators hit different!! They feel like a pissed off go kart on steroids!! I miss both of my old termi’s 🙃
There would be no hellcat without this car!
Im willing to bet that a Hellcat has no chance against this on track
@@AnthroGearhead Maybe because this is more of a performance and track car, Hellcat is more of a grand tourer. The comparison makes sense only if you look at them as "just American rwd car"
When you get the idea of how different the cars are, you won't compare them
@@egg0534 im currently making a touring car spec Challenger Hellcat in FORZA here, just weight reduction and endurance fuel and max handling, now i just need a late 90s or early 2000s Mustang SVT to start the test

Man, the best reviews for the TERMINATORS...... never gets old!!!
@@JordanSVT I totally understand your pain lol these cars are just frustrating. Especially if you own one that’s been slightly neglected. Makes me miss my 2 valve cars that I really never had any issues with lol
Owned mine since new. 45k miles and only recently had to change the alternator.
I was starting 9th grade when you reviewed Jordan Miller’s cobra, and before that I thought it would be cool to own one but once I heard the ataks with kooks, I was set. Now I’m 23 and can’t believe I’ve had my own for 4 years now.
Props to the owner for not replacing the pony emblem in the front to a cobra.
I switch back and forth from time to time. Wheel choice definitely plays a roll. I just put Rovos on the car and put a snake in to see how it looks.
The snake grille was stock to a terminator
@@xGettinxMoneyx Are you sure? Cause I’m looking at a Motor Trend and Car and Driver from 2003 and they both have Pony front grilles. I believe the Cobra badge was one of those things that everyone and their mother did so people started thinking it came from the factory like that, when it fact it didn’t. The 2000 Cobra R and the 2001 Cobra also came with a pony.
@@Grifter371you are correct sir, they came with the ponies but it’s almost impossible to find an original terminator with the pony
Great lines and very relevant even 20 years later.
I will never not love the Terminator. It's an American icon.
Greatest all around mustang ever. I own 04 redfire cobra convertible. Hearing the whine of the supercharger with top down is a pure thrill. Get one and it looks best topless!
Still the best drivers car ever made. C6Z/Zr1 are right there as well 🐐. Time will never kill these cars if we as a community keep them alive 🔥🔥 #HPattern 👊🏼
This car doesn't even come close to being comparable to a C6 Z06 or ZR1. The only thing Ford produced that was in that category was the Ford GT. At the end of the day this was just a factory Mustang with a blower. Great bang for the buck though.
Man this car brings back memories, when I was a kid my uncle had a 04 terminator in this yellow. Not sure what all was done to it but it was danm fast. The wine and exhaust note is something I will never forget and one day will have a terminator.
Great work brother. Still love these cars. 🤗Oh nice! It's Kens Terminator. 🤩
Oh my gosh I love the sound of a Terminator or Kenne Bell COBRA they sound like no other muscle car on the planet it's very distinctive!!
Legit review. Terminators are life.
Doesn't matter what cars you're in to. I drive an STi, but Terminators are just awesome. I hope the remaining owners take care of them, Not many of them left.
Can’t afford a terminator right now but would definitely love to have an 01 cobra or Mach 1🤞🏽Although they’re also getting really expensive nowadays for clean examples.
Sold my cobra 04 a few years ago. Miss it everyday!
Hey, you can’t do that!
Terminator: Wrong.
I miss the rush and sound of my ole kenne bell 2.8 H at full song of 18psi.... ❤
I miss the simple days where these were king. Making 600-700hp back then seemed crazy.
I had a lot of scary moments in my 04….. 😅
And this coming from an SRT 392 owner about to get a demon ! I still have to get an 03-04 cobra they where the first cars on the street with that screamin supercharger specially with a kennebell blower and murdered out with ccw wheels was just 😍 ppl who really arent into car thinks that mean scream started with the hellcat , but noo it was this beast (coming from a mopar guy💯🤝🏾)😊
P.s. my first favorite car 30 year old , 93 kid🤙🏽
Oh this is gonna be a straight banger !!!!!!!!
The 2000 American goat 🐐
I live in Palm Coast FL and see this car all the time. It looks damn good. I always see it and the red vert parked in his yard when i drive by their house. Didnt know it was 900whp though lol. Sick.
They’re the ones that helped me motor and trans swap my car in their yard. Really smart guys
Stop by and say hello some time. 😊
We go to palm coast all the time too. Love us some Hulligans, best wings in Florida!
His son has a youtube channel with a Terminator vert.
The video of the nasty 530hp Terminator Cobra was what first introduced me to this channel
I definitely want a 5.0 , 4.6 , or 5.4 swapped e30/e36 (unless I get a foxbody) after I finish building this ls swapped e36. I love the sound of the Mustang stuff super brutal . The ls' sound tough but those things have a bark to em
Drive my mystichrome coupe sometime. 560whp IRS 2.3L whipple etc. Has like 20k miles. Blast to ride in and the interior has full mystichrome accent on the shift knob, shift boot, and e brake boot. Of course has the factory seat, wheel and such in MC leather. I could watch these videos everyday. I've been here since the first terminator video. Keep them coming.
David, you reviewed so many terminators… I think it’s time to buy one 😳
One of my dream cars. Nothing like that sound of that supercharger.
The best loooking Mustang period :)
Love the looks of it!
And the sounds, I am a JDM fan at heart but still this Mustang makes me feel something :D
Thankful to own one. I get likes, nods, etc from all car people. My favorite car of all time. Blessed to own one!
Was fun hanging with you and filming this video🔥
I seen your Cobra in the rearview too. 😄🔥What an unexpected treat for us.
I was 16 when these came out. I remember falling in love with JDM cars at the time, but when Terminators came out, they were my favorite car. These were like Hellcats backs then
You cant go wrong with a Terminator
Dream car right there🤩🤩🤩
I couldn't afford a new edge Cobra Tbh but I did end up with a nice 2v new edge and I'm happy with it. BEAUTIFUL cars!
The 2v is a great power plant
Jesus Christian that sound makes me feel al tingly inside
I grew up in the 90s, so I was 12 when these came out, the a couple of years later RUclips made me fall madly in love with the Greatest Sounding Car America has ever made
David that intro was perfect. The music has that epic yet timeless feel to it, just like 03/04 Cobras
Back in the day, an apten or steggie ported cobra with bolt-ons killed the car meet scene! CLASSIC!!!!
I have one of the KMJ alternators, for my 04 cobra. solid rig.
Very clean Termi. I saw one yesterday on Princess Anne Rd. Made me smile hearing the driver row through the gears.
Dang, that first pull was crazy, David... looked so fast on my TV that the background was skipping frames. 😂
Terminators are what got me hooked on cars almost 12 years ago😂 had a 99 gt that I made a termi clone, had a foxbody, then an 01 cobra. So many years later Ive yet to own an 03-04, and its fair to say its still my only affordable dream car.
My dad's friend used to have one of these. Man put every bit of power he could fit in it back then and had it doing 9.5s at the strip, which was crazy fast for a street car in 2003.
God, I adore the Terminator Cobras so damn much.
Even though they were nearly a decade old when I was a senior in high school, the Terminator was the the car to have.
Its still a car that my buddies and I all adore and discuss to this day.
I'm more partial to Chevrolet than I am Ford, and I'm more partial to Ford than I am Chrysler, but Ford absolutely hit a home run with the Terminator Cobras.
They will always be one of the most badass performance cars to ever come out of the United States.
Never gets old hearing about the “Termi”
Havent seen a video from you in almost a year but then this pops up in my feed,to this very day i see a terminator in my feed and click on it,lol.Smiles per gallon 👍
The American Supra...I like it. It has that same "Is that a Cobra/Terminator?!" effect.
That cobra is so clean, the builder did a great job with it
Back in my 20’s my good friend had a 2003 Cobra 🔥 with a 100 shot of Nitrous! Back then we were unbeatable 🤘🏼
