Great stuff as always, it's guys like these who not only promote their products but cater for vanilla users as well (Remembering where they started) that us the viewers should have as our Blender RUclips favourites.
Thanks for sharing. This reminds me of an exercise I was doing a while back, working out the best topology when blending a chimney into a steam train. I must have tried it about 10 different ways with various chimney shapes.
@@masterxeon1001 yes, it’s the only way to get out of that kind of intersection alive. It was made more complex by the fact it was curved out towards the join, kind of like a trumpet and it had to fit around the adjacent cylinder. I did that by extracting and scaling the bottom edge before shrink wrapping it to the horizontal cylinder. Then I could join it back to the chimney and perform a bridge edge loops. To make things even more interesting it was asymmetric and extended further at the back. It’s a really satisfying result. I should probably make time to do a video of my own one day.
Love the video, I like cheating death on subdivision as well as surviving it, although I am still learning, and need better hardware lol. looking forward to seeing more :)

so in the end what was the best solution? and also did it involve a perimeter.

Very nice tutorial/video. Especially the multi tool usage demonstrations.

gotta solve em for breakfast!
Very cool!
its a good feeling to survive to the other side.
"i hurt myself just to know i'm still alive" in blender language would sound pretty much like this video
now that line sounds like some linkin park
Wouldn't it be quicker to do that part in a Nurbs software like Rhino or MOI, then import into Blender to finish the job?
probably, but also would result in inadequate and normal locked geometry.
Surviving its enough Buddy ¡¡¡¡ XD what a true ¡¡¡
out the other side. is satisfaction.
How would one make this a game ready asset tho?
game res is much different than subdivision capable.
You might as well make a subd car engine soon lol.
if only the shapes were easier to understand.
FYI - Reverse bevel still not working in 3.0.0 (8fbb)
it should be showing up in the more recent builds. I was using a 3.0 that had it fixed but it might take a moment to make it all the way out.
🙂👍
enjoy!
